I’m in lineman school right now and we just had day 1 of climbing and my fear of heights kicks in at around 10-12ft. How can I overcome this fear and be able to climb all 45ft of the pole?
Sup brotha jus had my 1st week of linemen school they made us climb for the first time and me and my lil brother went about a little more than half so like 25-30ft and we would get scared to go all the way I know we can do it it’s jus the height thing, there was some natural climbers that went all the way up first time but this coming Tuesday I’m going all the way up I’m going to trust my equipment that’s what my linemen friends told me but anyways did you graduate? How’d you get over the fear? Is it just keep going and eventually it’ll go away?
@@rickygonzalez8206 keep going man. I did get a job as an apprentice and I’m going back to their climbing school in a couple weeks. You do get used to it after awhile. I’m still learning how to be comfortable but it comes with time man. Don’t give up

Try gaffing out couple of times to loose the fear and start trusting your equipment
He said it all… it’s all in the crew you get to be on … they can make or break you …. Hope you get a great group of guys …
