GREAT JOB guys! I encourage everyone to take the CERT Course. I took it after the Moore and EL Reno Tornadoes here in Oklahoma. Now I'm an Instructor. I encourage people to get their ham license as well in my videos. Communications can be a problem!

I am adding to my above comment. The video has worked very well in presentations that I have made to my local community groups and has been well received. This is an excellent intro to my verbal presentation. Thank you again to the creator(s) of this video. Very well done!
Our amateur radio club took the CERT training several years ago in Portsmouth Ohio. It was great and we actually showed how we are a good asset in communications when all other means are not available. We have our own equipment and power supplies so are not dependent on usual communication paths. I encourage all to get involved in CERT type training and I'm a real advocate of Ham radio communications for service and fun! Greg

I have been talking to my local school district, and then I was approached after a CERT presentation to Kiwanis by a HS principal. She is all about getting the program going in the HS. Talk to your local HS principal. Taft HS in Lincoln City Or also has CERT as part of their local curriculum. They are in the bullseye of a possible Cascadia Tsunami so they take the training seriously.

It's a terrific program. I felt much better about the potential of working within my community in dealing with the aftermath of a disaster.

I wished I could get someone to help me get a Teen CERT going in Jefferson County at the high school where I teach...been wanting one for YEARS! =/
