I think the reason why Sentinel became blind was because of Megatron bashing his head against the bridge constantly, giving him the Cybertronian equivalent of brain damage.
But still if optimus didnt kill sentinel ratchet and the other autobots that have died in Age of extinction would be alive rn but i guess optimus really wanted to avenge ironhide

He was reaching for a weapon. This is reminiscent of the fight between Megatron and Prime in the 1986 animated movie. Where Prime goes to finish off Megatron. Megatron pleads for his life, and while Prime is distracted, he reaches for a blaster.
He probably went blind when Megatron stock bashed in the head after his helmet came off, if you don't know when that happened it was like the very loud clink that you here before Megatron rips his stomach out
I still don't feel bad for Sentinel. He betrayed the Autobots and killed Skids, Mudflap, and Ironhide. He almost killed Optimus, that alone satisfies me knowing Sentinel is long gone.

I didn't realize that Sentinel was blind and when Optimus Prime use Megatron's Shotgun in Sentinel's left side but Sentinel went to the wrong side because he was blind and he went to the right side

I don’t think he was blind. I think Sentinel did not want to face Optimus simply because he knew Optimus was about to kill him, but tried to plead shamelessly for mercy after his betrayal of the Autobots. He then attempted to reach for his glaive or shield to protect himself, but Optimus was already prepared to shoot him. (That or he was trying to get away because he is a coward)

One thing that bayformers did better than the new transformers is the damage on the transformers. You can just see all of sentinels parts fly everywhere and it’s just crazy
Actually I just realized they made a HUGE mistake. If you look closely, when sentinel turns to the right, Optimus is actually standing behind him on his right side. And that’s the side the bullet goes through. But Optimus was definitely standing on his left in the scene before, aiming at his head

It could be that the way the scene was designed, it would look awkward to cut to an angle from Sentinel’s right and have him turn away from the camera. While his left side doesn’t have an angle to show the shot Optimus takes and do it justice

Probably because he wasn't looking at the gun. He only heard it load and knew he was gonna die. I also think the scene of optimus pointing the gun at sentinel was an error, because In the next scene optimus is behind sentinel instead of his left.

Everyone is always talking about ironhide's death, but what they simple dont understand is that his voice actor is dead, plus the sponsor on his truck was over, and it needed to happen to add weight to the betrayal. He was the first well developed bot to die.
What a perfect villain. He gave a reason to hate him, he made Sam actually matter because without him we wouldn’t have found out why Sentinel couldn’t be trusted, and he was actually tough. Plus, his death has so much depth to it. The amount of head trauma he had in that beat down was sure to break something, and it’s kinda neat he shows signs of both blindness and other sensory blindness from the trauma in the fact he couldn’t distinguish where sound was coming from, or how to fight back against his execution. Even with that, I still think this is unintentional. It’s likely just a way for you to be able to see Sentinels face as well as Optimus for viewing purposes.
To be fair, I'm pretty sure Megatron basically gave him a concussion right before this. So even if he isn't blind, he's definitely heavily dazed. He can hold a conversation, but probably not much else. I know it's a movie, but realistically, if someone tried to stand up after what Sentinal just went through, they'd probably fall back down to the ground. Due to their equilibrium being fucked.
