thank you for sharing sir. I had built something similar to this awhile back and fought with the joint function for hours but now i know the right way to do it
Lars, I would like to see a Detailed Discussion on the History Line, talking about all of the many; symbols, colors, wiggle lines, broken lines, plus symbols, etc, etc. And, details of how to manipulate history. I have searched and not found many of the details of items that I occasionally see in my History Line.
Hi Lars I just found out about you and your content is awesome. I have been using Tinkercad and want to graduate to Fusion 360. Could you do a video for Tinkercad users on how to make the switch/get started with Fusion 360 from a Tinkercad users point of view? THANKS!!
maybe doesn't incorporate views from tinkercad but Lars has some great videos to help out. Fusion 360 for Absolute Beginners: ruclips.net/p/PL40d7srwyc_Ow4aaOGXlP2idPGwD7ruKg
I want to ask you a question, do you see the use in hand-drafting anymore now that we have CAD programs galore? I ask because I was watching a documentary on Concorde recently and was shocked when I realized the entire thing was hand-drafted. Personally, I can get lost in thought for hours when I sit at a drawing desk, something incredible about it, the design feels more personal and I find you have to put a lot more thought into it because there isn't a back button or history feature haha. Not only that you sometimes can't bear to throw away them away if they are not what you envisioned, so you hang the old ones on the wall...a far cry from the delete button.
I think you always need to start with pencil and paper. I've found for myself that if i don't, i keep starting over and over again in fusion. If i've made a free hand sketch first, my work in Fusion360 is way faster and to the point, because i've have a much better spatial understanding of the object i want to create.
Tried to follow along but after selecting the 3-D Step file then "save" I got the following message > error occurred in translating the file. Tried 3 times and got the same message.
Update to earlier message! The 3-D Step file failed for another few attempts, then after about 15 minutes I tried again and it worked. Guess everything was just too busy?
Thanks again another 6 minutes well spent Mahalo from Maui
Lars. You are the BEST. Thanks for all the videos.
