I was so excited to see a bypass in the crosslock. Then the anticlimactic shim came out lol. I do like the tip about oiling them. Appreciate your work. 👍♥️
I love how you always take time to constantly change your intro Bill. You said it's about as much work as making a video and I think everyone appreciates how much time, effort and work you put into your channel

LOL As soon as you opened it and I saw the shackle I said "shimmable" out loud. Lol. I'd like to see how that X rake works. You can get winegums in just about any convenience store in Canada.
New to locksport hobby, hailing from Australia. Been picking for only 2 weeks but am fairly addicted already. Want to share my experience so far. I purchased a peterson ghost pick set with a clear practice lock, which I found great to see what I'm doing and learn about how locks work. Otherwise picking was just too easy. I decided to upgrade my lock a little and bought a cheap Chinese made master lock, no further identifier on it. I further grabbed a euro cylinder and a lockwood 120/40 to eventually try my luck on spools. I get home and run through the cheap master lock which rakes open super quick and easy. Attempt SPP and can only manage to open it by luck every so often. I put this down to skill level and persist over the next week and a half with no improvement. During this time the euro is opening by SPP every attempt in no time. I just put this down to the lock being cheap (which it was). During all this im looking at the lockwood and seeing its paracentric key way, combined with some spools believing its way too hard. I had 2 goes at picking it with no luck although was able to get a feel of counter rotation which I was happy with. Move on to watching one of your videos and decided to give the technique used a try on the lockwood. After raking I went to SPP and had it opened within 1 min. I was stoked. I managed to open it purely by SPP every go since. I went back to the cheap master lock, it opened by luck after only touching pins 1 and 2 and then no luck again. Im thinking I will only use quality locks from now on but im frustrated that this master is defeating me and I want to know its secret. Thanks for your videos, I know its a long post but without you or the LPL I would be working blind and probably have given in. Thanks for all the great content
From the LockLab.com FAQ: In the Summer of 2018 I made some major improvements to the LockLab’s equipment so I could produce more enjoyable videos for you. I upgraded my camera to the Sony RX-100, Version 4. I continued videoing at 1080p, but upgraded to 60 frames per second so transitions would be smoother and the images crisper. The camera is capable of 4k, but heats up after only a few minutes which limits the video length before it automatically shuts down. Besides, processing 4K video takes an incredible amount of time and, since 70% of my viewers watch my videos on their phones, it simply isn’t necessary. I also started capturing separate audio with a dedicated Neuman TLM-103 microphone and a Zoom F4 digital recorder. I post process all audio files using Adobe Audition CC and apply these filters & effects: Notch filter at 4700Hz to remove a “jingle” in my voice, iZotope De-Ess to remove sibiliance, iZotope DeBreath to quieten my breathing into the microphone, and iZotope Dynamic Noise Reduction to deaden ambient noise in the LockLab. I edit and post process all video using Adobe Premier CC and use introductions and “fly in” effects produced with Adobe After Effects CC. My introductions are produced by MindZipper, my webmaster support using Adobe After Effects. There are many other improvements I made to LockLab to raise the quality of audio and video. If you are interested in what they were, I did a video highlighting them. ruclips.net/video/QlnwyvrqqcA/видео.html
I'd like to get some of those wine gummed! The lock, not so much! Thanks for the tip on oiling the shims. I'll bet that will help me open quite a few locks than I could before! Have a great day, Bill and be safe?
Wine Gums have been really popular sweets for at least 60 years in the U.K. It's odd that you had not heard of them, but you might find them tasty. They are made by several different companies. The name is more-or-less generic, and the originals were intended to have wine-like flavours. The main alternatives are fruit gums, which are intended to taste like fruits. We also have your chewing gum and bubble gum; the universal bane of council street cleaners. The name 'gummy' is not used for confectionaries, because, to us, that means something which is covered in adhesive, or an adhesive substance. Not good for product sales! Oh, and thanks for bypassing that lock!
Allegedly, the Wine Gums contain no wine. Trader Joe's has something similar that does have two different types of wine and two different colors of wine gum. There is a Trader Joe's close to you on Little River Turnpike.
@Bosnianbill Little tip Bill, pop the Wine Gums in the fridge for overnight and the next day they're much better to eat, plus they last a little longer has they soften up in your mouth, Yummy ;-)
Rick, don’t worry mate, his shims are imperial, not metric, the swine🤣🤣🤣♥️♥️♥️. Lost points for sending maynards, they’ve never recovered since the change🤣🤣🤣😍♥️♥️♥️
wine gums aren't made with wine... they were originally called wine gums because they replicate the mouth-feel of a fine wine... well, kind of! They are one of my favourites, and readily available in Canada!

I still enjoy seeing these odd keyways, find them so interesting
Hi, Bill. 38.55 seconds, eh? Well, that is funny. You are up for the challenge. Thanks for sharing! Stay healthy!
Can you show us how to use the cross lock raking tool?
They're also very common in Canada (the wine gummy things), much closer than the UK.
I love them!
Yep, I see them all the time at the Washington/BC Peace Arch Duty free. They also had them on the BC Ferries gift shop.

Lots of packages say they are super high security. Let the buyer beware.
Probably took longer to get the lock out of the packaging 😜

Ah yes. Give it a good yank. Mmm... that usually works for me too
