- Ironically today is the "Russia day", but here is the video about Georgian protests. This "foreign influence" is not the same as American one. It is way more harmful even thought it sounds innocent.

The bill requires nongovernmental groups and print, online, and broadcast media that receive 20 percent or more of their annual revenue from a “foreign power” to register with the Ministry of Justice as “organizations serving the interest of a foreign power.”
The bill’s supporters falsely allege that the bill is similar to the United States Foreign Agent Registration Act. But the US law does not equate receiving foreign funding, in part or in whole, with being under the direction and control of a foreign principal. It primarily regulates lobbyists and does not serve as a mechanism for weakening civil society organizations and media.
Tens of thousands of people have protested the bill continuously in recent weeks, in Tbilisi and several other cities. On multiple occasions during especially large demonstrations in front of the parliament building in Tbilisi, police used tear gas, water cannons, and pepper spray to disperse mainly nonviolent protesters, including on the night of April 30, the eve of bill’s second reading. There were credible reports of police using rubber bullets at least once on the night of May 1.
