    I recall Arsenal were 'in' for both Isak & Gumiraes but ultimately lost out to Newcastle, we'll have to pay a hefty preminum to get them now,.
    But don't worry some said, we've Jesus, who has never been or will be prolific striker and is now sadly, injury prone.
    And the other he can never/ever get the ball into the goal Net-Kteiah enough, has to go too, use their combined money to get a striker to alternate with Havertz, in cups or in any loss of form, we can't just have Havertz as the sole squad striker.

  • @MCFCTheMadHatter

    Had Arsenal played to win, Rodri would never had made those comments regardless of the outcome of the game. That’s what separates LFC this season (and seasons past) vs the Arsenal team of this season: LFC always played to win, especially vs City which is probably why so many City/LFC games over the years have been deemed classics and the very pinnacle of footballing competition even though the majority of them ended in draws.
    Crazy thing is, as a City fan, I think had Arsenal played to win, they likely would’ve beaten us given our shaky form. Some may say had Arsenal done that, City would’ve won - maybe but that’s why winning titles is so hard: because there’s always jeopardy in it and nothing is guaranteed. Arsenal have gotten better since last season and learned lesson, something tells me they’ll have learned a lesson going for the draw and I doubt Arteta will make that mistake again

    • @liammelton5479
      @liammelton5479 27 дней назад +1

      I take onboard your points and at the end of the day, you deserved to win the league but I can't accept that a draw away to the best team in Europe has cost us. If Liverpool had got just a point away in 2018/19, rather than losing they'd have won the league. We were almost flawless in 2024, our poor form at Christmas cost us. Losing at home to West Ham and away to Fulham was always going to come back to haunt us.

    • @MCFCTheMadHatter
      @MCFCTheMadHatter 27 дней назад +1

      @@liammelton5479 Look, I’m happy we ended with a draw otherwise had you won, we wouldn’t have won the title. As for the other part of my comment, with respect, there’s a difference btwn drawing at City bc your team nullified City and City nullified your team as was the case so often in the LFC battles, vs playing for the draw. When you play to win, even if you draw you can always say you tried your best and it just wasn’t meant to be. But when you play to draw (yes the outcome is still the same) there will always be that “what if we have it our all to win?” Not to mention, your form going into that game was imperious, hence me saying I thought had you played to win, you very likely would’ve and like I said before, all else being the same following that, you’d have won the league. Also, the reason I said you shouldn’t played to win bc your losses in December were already in the books and if you beat us, I believe you also would’ve been 1 point ahead or tied with LFC which is better than being behind with 9 games to go.
      When it comes to this, it’s all about fine margins. Look at how disastrous City’s time was trying to get the CL. A lot of times it was down to fine margins, but Pep blew vs Chelsea with no DM (I still can’t believe he could do something so stupid) then we bottled the final year before last by conceding 2 goals in the 89th min to go into extra time and lose. The team lost their heads and this season, for me, Pep’s stupid high line (higher and way more risky and aggressive than last season - the star bear it out) was much to blame for this seasons exit. 3:4 goals conceded were ALL due to counter attacks down the right which had been happening with every team we’ve played this season and Pep, as much as I love, for some dumbass reason, refused to adapt his tactics which is why our defense was so shaky this season (we conceded more goals and had fewer clean sheets this season with 6 PL games to go than the entirety of each of the last 3 seasons!!).
      Sometimes fine margins, sometimes managers can employ tactics that don’t work well and refuse to adapt them. Regardless, I’m sure Arteta won’t let that happen again next season. Hopefully Pep will learn from this season too: adapt you stupid high line just a little ffs lol

    I hear all this Arsenal should've went for it and got the 3pts at CITY, which could have so easily opened us up to being beaten, a point at the reigning champion's ground is a good point, losing at home to WHU, with 31 shots on goal, is the game that sticks out as the one that was most costly.
    We've improved each season for 3 seasons under Arteta, insofar as going for the title, but to do so again would mean being champions or to be finicky with details, painfully lose out on GD.
    We're up against the GOAT manager, but Klopp found a way, we can too!
    As it stands CITY are favs again for next season, we need to buy 2 players to take the team higher, but I also wonder who they will buy as there's rumours a couple of 1st team players are leaving.
    Credit to Pep for his eye for players, for Rodri, Diaz, KDB, Sones, Ake, Akanji, weren't scouted on the moon with no one esle knowing about them.
    He nearly always just seaminglessly just splices his new signings into the team and keep winning they do.
    None are flash Harry's always in the media types (Grealish was, but he's not been a hit), or disputors like Ozil, Abamyeyang.
    Managers have 2 major things on their plate, buying the right player and have them playing the right way, the Billy GOAT doesn't want orr accept any Billy big boots!

    It isn’t nonsense, when Arsenal came to the etihad, anything less than a draw gave Liverpool the upper hand, they then could win their game in hand and go top. It does show a bit of a weak mind set because if you have the title in your hands, why wouldn’t you want to keep it that way. If you don’t believe you’re a better team than the rival team you’re challenging with, you won’t win the league and you can’t complain about other teams not doing you a favour come the end of the season when you’d rather drop points than keep the initiative in the race. The home game was also a cagey game, it took a late deflected goal to get the 3 points, it’s not an aggregate score come the end of the season, the first game is irrelevant if you need to win the second game too to stay top.

    • @Ps_Arnold
      @Ps_Arnold 27 дней назад +1

      Completely disagree.
      This narrative that Arsenal were waiting for Spurs/Westham to do them a favor is bias against Arsenal. In a title race EVERY challenger is hoping the opponent will drop points.
      The season before when Arsenal were 8 points clear at one stage it was in their hands and guess what, City NEEDED to do more than just win their games, they had to HOPE OTHER TEAMS DID THEM A FAVOR and yes ultimately Arsenal dropped points.
      You sight Liverpool and how they went after City, you forget that these two have had great battles over the years going toe to toe, so of course Liverpool had a different mindset at the Etihad.
      Arsenal on the other hand had a poor history at the Etihad, so of course it plays on your mind, they got beat 4 - 1 last season literally blown away.
      I love how the narrative is meant to bash Arsenal, yet Liverpool who apparently did so well fell away, as for City, a football game is between two teams, why bash Arsenal? If the mentality was weak okay why didn't City blow Arsenal to bits HOME AND AWAY ? I'll tell you, CITY FAILED TO SHOW UP. And rodri is just sad they couldn't get one over Arsenal and had to rely on OTHER TEAMS
      Arsenal kept TWO clean sheets against City the treble winners, stop bashing Arsenal and give them the RESPECT THEY DESERVE

    Fact: Man City failed to beat Arsenal this season and had to rely on rival teams to do them a favor.
    But of course the narrative is always better when you bash Arsenal.
    How about we just give Arsenal the RESPECT THEY DESERVE

    • @colincolin5696
      @colincolin5696 27 дней назад +5

      But mate that doesn’t mean anything.. it’s not a tournament or knockout game. It’s a league format. 38 games. You can beat Man City over those two games 10-0 home and away and still lose the league. It’s about the points you gain over those 38 games.
