I worked there for 13 years. It’s surreal seeing it! Bill W is a really nice guy, and great at his job. My department office was on the ground floor, and the shop, on the other side of the building, so they got blown out. Glad to see it’s coming along!
We where there in 2021 had lots of fun at the pink shell. Not sure why people want to spend millions on a resort that gets wiped out every few years. If you have that kind of money why not build in Aruba where there is never any hurricane and white sand and crystal blue water... We go to Aruba twice a year and are thinking about buying a condo. Aruba don't have any sharks either because the water is to warm and they can't breathe. The weather is 85 degrees all year round sometimes 90s but only in September, October, November. Also they have the best restaurants in the world.
Yeah I like how my company that is in Florida in the Broward area can’t get to work there but guess what the government was able to get a bunch of outside state companies.
Fmb local here. Diamond head really faired the best out of all buildings in the area near time square obviously the bottom 15-20 feet is damaged but not destroyed
@@BillyBob-im7og Thanks for letting me know. Prior to the pandemic I visited FMB twice a year, and the people are all friendly and welcoming. I am heartbroken and praying for your beautiful city!
All those employees hopefully didn’t have to apply for unemployment because best case scenario is $275 a week. Second worst in the country. Mr DeSantis, give these employees a decent unemployment as it’s part of the recovery.
Level the Greedy high rises and BRING BACK OUR GARDEN ISLAND WITH ALL THE SEA SHELLS WITH HERMIT CRABS MAKING PINK SAND...NOW ALL GONE FROM GREED....NOT HURRICANES!
I was am a former employee of the Pink Shell Beach Resort and Marina. When I moved to FMB five years ago, Hurricane Irma struck. Boykin Property Management said, sorry, we are not offering a safe place for our employees to stay at the Pink Shell. I was displaced 21 days, without pay from the Pink Shell Beach Resort and Marina. My neighbor who worked for the Diamond Head Resort on FMB, not only gave their employees a free place to stay, they also allowed the pets. I am in no way surprised that Boykin/Pink Shell is rushing to create rooms they can overcharge workers here to rebuild. Way to go lining your pockets, rather than help your coworkers and community in need. Greed, greed, greed. Shame on you! Absolutely disgusting company
🙏🏽❤️ glad they are rebuilding. It was a wonderful place and will be again.
August 2024.....we're here....its GREAT !!!

I hope the rebuild can withstand whatever is dished out next hurricane season
Peoples homes should be top priority first. Screw the hotels
All they keep on talking about is fort Myers Beach what about the Suncoast area in North fort Myers and all the surrounding areas
How did the Outrigger fare ? Sadly they were renovating before the hurricane hit. All that work down the drain. Sigh.
I saw a video that it was in not so good.. Charlie's Boat House is a shell.
Did FMB reopen their building department?
I don't know for sure but I know they close the bridge down because it wasn't up to standards
I LIVED IN FT. MYERS FOR ABOUT 5 YRS. & GRADUATED FRO THERE.... MAKES MY HEART HAPPY TO SEE THINGS ARE BEING REBUILT!!💕
Que tanto sofrimento e prejuízos materiais para o povo da Flórida, Deus os proteja.
I hope there not going too quick to the point there all ready to go & Island still stays closed for awhile.

So crazy
Did anybody get a head count on how many South Americans are rebuilding compared to us Americans

They need to tear down everything and start over. You cant tell me mold is not in them walls.
The mold was in the drywall they remove. Those building are made of concrete.
❤
Excellent
Please do a report on Diamondhead!
