This is one of the episodes of naruto that I like the most, even in the final arc of the anime ,when the power scale is much higher, is still a battle that i like to rewatch sometimes.
I like it *because* it stays more in line with the expected power scaling. They all still felt like ninja here. The fights as the series goes on are still great to watch of course, but to me it feels like things get a bit.. out of hand I guess. Just my opinion anyway.

Sakura did show more of her strength in the filler in regular Naruto; her tossing a sail, going, "Cha!" to save someone, and tossing a rock to prevent a bomb detonation, alongside the rest of the Genin gang. Also Hinata does get her episodes and they were pretty cute, even defeated a Magnet Jutsu user with Iron Sand early on.

Sasori was through and through one of the deadliest ninjas. He gets underestimated because of he got beat by sakura and a granny, completely disregarding that hiruzen was old like chiyo. I even bet no one would have being able to beat him without sustaining an injury. Even kakashi would have died had he fought Sasori. Also in the third databook he was given an impressive stats in the databook of 34.5 second to only Itachi. Even Chiyo was strong her 10 puppets were the most strongest collection their teamwork would have been crazy to fight against. This family is crazy too the granny destroying a fortress and the grandson destroyed a nation.

He put things such as kekkei genkai and secret techniques into the story very early on. These are mutations or special powers that defy conventional wisdom. Then he wrote Orochimaru, who didn't originally have special powers but has managed to create novel abilities, or mixed and matched existing ones to create new ones. And Orochimaru was a member of the Akatsuki. Expect every other member to be at least as weird and perplexing as he is.
He survives in that little heart container because of Ninjutsu. If something isn't explained in the show and is confusing or seems impossible just sum it up to a Forbidden Ninjutsu.
Almost every Akatsuki member is insanely strong, and none would have lost if they weren't caught against perfect circumstances. Just don't judge any of them so early in the show

As strong as he is, can't wait to see the look on their faces when the true powerhouses reveal themselves and then later when the scaling gets blown through the roof and the magnitude of the battles jump into insanity. Then we have the even funnier part of Ron saying Kishimoto waited for Shippuden to make Sakura cool, when you know she'll once again be forgotten for like a couple hundred episodes where she has like 2 minutes of spotlight.

I feel like it's kind of futile to ask who is the strongest Akatusuki. It's like asking which is strongest, the rock, the paper, or the scissors? Which is hardest to beat depends on who you are more than who they are. If you were a poison specialist, then Sasori would be basically impossible to beat, since how are you going to poison a puppet? A fight between ninja is (or should be) more about which tricks counter other tricks than a power level d**k measuring contest. YMMV. Some of the Akatusuki are more limited than others, I will admit.

It's so fun to me when i see them praise Sasori for his powers. As strong as he is, can't wait to see the look on their faces when the true powerhouses reveal themselves and then later when the scaling gets blown through the roof and the magnitude of the battles jump into insanity.
Then we have the even funnier part of Ron saying Kishimoto waited for Shippuden to make Sakura cool, when you know she'll once again be forgotten for like a couple hundred episodes where she has like 2 minutes of spotlight.
Imagine when he realizes that not only Sakura is being forgotten, but also Rock-lee, Neji, Shino, Chouji, Kiba, Ino...
Naruto Shippuden is good, but it's not perfect, not really.

The Akatsuki is probably one of the most Versatile groups in anime. Some of their abilities are gonna knock ur socks off. Thats all im gonna say. Cant wait until u get further
I feel like it's kind of futile to ask who is the strongest Akatusuki. It's like asking which is strongest, the rock, the paper, or the scissors? Which is hardest to beat depends on who you are more than who they are. If you were a poison specialist, then Sasori would be basically impossible to beat, since how are you going to poison a puppet?
A fight between ninja is (or should be) more about which tricks counter other tricks than a power level d**k measuring contest. YMMV.
Some of the Akatusuki are more limited than others, I will admit.

i think all members of akatsuki are really strong i mean they wouldn't be invited if they aren't, it really depends on how they utilize their jutsus

tbf at this point of the show i was so fcking impressed by sasori's strenght but i still thought he was probably one of the weakest akatsuki members ngl or maybe in the middle, like itachi had completely tortured kakashi without breaking a sweat in the og show, and for some reason i was already terrified of the guy with the crazy eyes that seemed like their leader, his voice and demeanour were insane. i was also hoping that there would be no way they were showing us the strongest guys right at the beginning of the show.
honestly i think you guys will love all the akatsuki members in their own way, either bc they look cool af, they're strong af, or bc they have a devastating backstory... their talents are all so different and unique from eo. like idk how but naruto makes you appreciate and like in some way almost every villain on this show... there's only one person i can think of that i completely despise on this show, and i think almost everyone does tbh, but y'all will get to it eventually.

Sasori wasn’t weaker than either of them. For some reason maybe even subconsciously he wasn’t fighting them serious. If he was it would have ended with the 3rd kazekage puppet
