They should just keep the oval track at the stadium until a new stadium area and this new season should at least make some sort of drag area for this new race off season at the stadium and not convert the horizon festival drag strip.

I'm hoping it is a drag update. With special funny car bodies, wheelie bars, big drag spoilers and working parachutes. We won't ever get that but hey ho! 😂
Funny cars would be … that would be utterly insane. Unlikely but imagine a top fuel funny car with realistic acceleration times - 0-300mph in THREE SECONDS. That would be hilarious.
@@thesprawl2361 I mean if we can get a Nascar, an already ProMod drag car, and an openwheeler, I think top fuel dragsters are possible, let alone funnycar or prostock.

I know it's controversial but I like having DLC packs as most of the time they are new to Forza cars which usually means new models and not recycled ones and I hope we get drag racing
I used to think they would just begin to gate keep New Cars through DLC once car packs were introduced...but so far for the most part they haven't. Both Free Cars and Paid Cars have been quite balanced.
If the Return of DLC, combined with more Cars being added to the Autoshow again, is a Sign that Torben Ellert wants to Scrap the FOMO Playlist (and he needs to! FOMO Mechanics should be *illegal* IMO!) and go back to the Old Model of Straight to Autoshow for Returning Cars and Paid DLC or New Cars with FH6, then I for one am All for the Return of DLC!
If it means we actually get some cool cars (which they've been!) I'm not complaining! I cycle between both Forza's and GT7 and GT has been looking rough with their updates 😬
I used to hate them but honestly after trying a couple the cars are 100% worth it

I really hope we can finally get to miss match tire compounds and even do smaller thinner tires. Drag slicks at the back with skinnies at the front. Or even stock size with miss matched tires would be a great addition.

If they really do dig into drag racing I hope they include legendary cars from drag racing history. John Force, Don "The Snake" Prudhomme, and Tom "The Mongoose" McEwen, and more. Not to mention some of the novelty drag cars like The Back-up Pick-up and The Little Red Wagon.
I hope that in the supercharger upgrades there will be an option in changing just the pulley into a smaller one for more boost. I really want to build a 1000HP+ stock block V8. And I hope turbo tuning will be a thing for more boost. I also hope that there will be a separate rims tires compound front and rear.

I do imagine an update to the drag racing mechanics would be insane. Some mechanics I would think are maybe like a basic drag race where you line up at the box and then you know go but I think there's a more extreme version. Maybe for more powerful cars like a thousand horsepower cars where you have to burnout before you start and the better burnout you have the more grip you'll have off the line adding a lot more depth to this gamemode.

@@ericship111I think this will also improve road racing and street racing too, this can range from PGG give us more new race routes, to giving us more new customization but in the form of PGG testing new designs for Forza in house customization by giving more options for front and rear bumpers, rear wings, side skirts, etc, and having be the beginning of new era of Forza customization in the Horizon series if it ends up being a success, and introduce new cars that both fit with the theme of the update and the new era of Forza customization, examples that come to my mind include the 2005 Ford Mustang GT where it could have race car customization that makes it look similar to the Custom 2012 Mustang from Hot wheels and the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS where along side the emergency/police car customization (including bash bar for the front bumper and light bars for the roof) it could also have race car customization that make looks similar to the custom 2011 Camaro which also from Hot wheels
Bro, that Mustang GT you mentioned is a timeless CLASSIC! It's literally the American-made embodiment of our childhood racing games from the 2000's, other than the Ford GT. That desperately does need to make a comeback, both in Forza (Motorsport and Horizon) and Gran Turismo and so many other games. @@mandaamar2002
This would be epic about one of the biggest race styles needed some love use the drag strip all the time. But let us go crazy big superchargers, turbos out the bonnet, different tire profiles, love dyno tuning even simple like underground 2 figure they could these days if it was possible near 20yrs ago cos you can tune everything except the engine

I am hoping that if drag is the focus for update 32 the Cougar Eliminator, Hurst Olds and Shelby 1000 Mustang will return from FH4.
Other suiitable returnees from previous Forza titles (both Horizon and Motorsport):
-1967 Dodge Coronet W203
-1964 Ford Fairlane Thunderbolt
New-to-Forza cars that would be great fits:
-1963 Pontiac Tempest Super Duty
-1969 AMC Hurst SC/Rambler
-1941 Willys Americar Coupe (complete with all the upgrade/custom parts to turn it into a gasser, including a drag suspension to give it the proper nose-high stance)
-a modern Ford Mustang Cobra Jet and Dodge Challenger Drag Pak so the COPO Camaro isn't lonely anymore
@tomanderson6335 Yes! I agree, but would love to see the RO 23 1967 Belvedere super stock, the 1968 Hemi Barracuda to compliment the '68 Dart, '68 Mustang 428, altered wheel base Plymouths and Dodges, AFX Fords and Mercurys as well. I know it won't happen, but I can dream.

Been waiting for an "IHRA" type update. Drag racing is a HUGE part of car culture and deserves to be in FH5.
They gotta update the cockpit view so we can do a full 360 look around and view our back seat
the stadium might have different surfaces to test your car in a drag race: tarmac, grass, dirt and sand

The Bentley GTC was a very welcoming edition to the convertible and luxury car range. And the digital car model and effects seem mostly without defects (rev counter not going all the way and the lower chrome mesh in the front bumper has some reflection inconsistencies, minor issue) And equally important, it handles pretty well with a custom tune and has good speed capability.
That car made my year😊

Imagine in FH5 added multi-class endurance racing? Hear me out.
A new mode in Horizon Open where players can choose to race in B, A, S1, or S2. There will be multiple players of each class all racing on The Goliath (particularly more than 1 lap). The race will start like a showdown with the slowest class goes first then the next with time windows in between each class.

Whenever the final update comes to this game it would be cool if it was a 3rd expansion dealing heavily with drag racing and circuit style racing too it could be a park type open world where you set up events like normal and do the other activities like Horizon Badlands were all about rally racing and this update could more focus on tarmac and drag racing

I believe they made a mistake with the FE Mini, it has an electric motor in it, with the two speed gearbox.
The 2 speed gearbox is suppose to be there :)

So if they’re going to be adding all these new events for levels of speed we need HP numbers to change. Variations of cars in FH5 HP numbers are severely reduced and in future games we should have the option of upgrading said engine to higher capabilities. For instance the RB26 in the game makes about 890. There’s RBs pushing 2100 hp in todays age

I hope if its a drag update they will finally tie the final drive to the rear diff instead of the transmission. Its stupid I have to change out the transmission to change out the rear gear ratio.

i want more beadlock wheels, some belaks and welds. i want 15 inch rear wheels, and be able to make my front runners actual skinny front runners. that’s a lot to ask for from playground
The best car is the Bentley Continental GT. Horizon needs more convertibles, and it has the W12 engine back with twin turbos. The twin turbo V8 was based on the Bentley race cars.

I never been a fan of drag racing in any game. Partly because it's mostly all about the cars enginnering and its capabilities rather than drivers skill, unlike when racing or drifting. Also in all Forza games it's been just like Eric said all the same, so I either don't bother touching it or just complete it for the achievements or smth, just a bare minimum for completion
I realy hope fore a drag racing update with some real drag cars and it would be awesome if forza mototsport can have a realistic drag racing update with some real drag cars becaus fm7 had experimental drag mode and it whas good but not perfect
