honestly this movie is as far as I can tell definitely one of the best action movies ever !! At least to me it’s a straight 10/10
I remember back when I’ve seen this movie for the first time .. me and my Dad stumbled upon it by accident and as soon as we’ve seen the „manners maketh man“- scene and the glass knocking that guy out we were like wtf is going on and we immediately knew this was going to be something different 😂
we watched that whole scene at least 5 times because we couldn’t get over how badass that was 😂 and THEN the church scene and the fire work scene in the end haha absolutely hilarious! The jokes perfect! The villian fantastic and realistic! The choreography amazing ! ..
I mean Taron Edgerton and Collin Firth alone - it’s a wonder their backs didn’t break because of how they carried that movie! But Samuel L Jackson, Sofia Boutella and all the others just made that movie a master piece, every character was amazing.
Genius idea and a perfect hommage to all the classic Bond and other spy movies !
You should definitely check out the sequel Kingsman: The Golden Circle- really great sequel for an almost unbeatable movie !

Interesting thing about Samuel L Jackson in this movie is it was his decision to have the lisp cause he had one growing up.

One theory is that I think three major things drive a lot of the film choices. News, relatability, and availability. A news example being the recent trial causing reactors to watch Depp films. A relatability example being a new Matrix coming out causing people who never saw the others to catch up. Availability is a movie hitting a streaming service like Netflix or Amazon. It makes the film widely available, with a bonus of the services typically promoting new additions to their service when the film is anything of note. If the film has any popularity and hits a major streaming service, it is likely to pop up on at least a few channels. If a film still isn't on the radar of a reactor after those three, many take suggestions and those factors probably contribute to a high number of requests for the film from the fans.
The other theory is Aliens.
