- Probably the most vulnerable song on the whole album. I recorded this take the evening before my surgery, and I wasn't sure if I'd ever be able to sing or talk again (more details below). I'm very thankful the surgery went well, with no vocal cord damage!

More detailed medical shit for those of you that are curious:
my tumor was wrapped around my recurrent laryngeal nerve, and the surgeon told me there's a chance they could permanently damage this nerve while removing the tumor. This is one of two nerves that controls the vocal cords, so my speaking and singing voice would be pretty severely impacted.

Many people wouldn't have had the courage to write and sing something so personal when so much is at stake, but you did!
