- The siege of Yorktown, also known as the Battle of Yorktown and the surrender at Yorktown, began September 28, 1781, and ended on October 19, 1781, at exactly 10:30 am in Yorktown, Virginia. It was a decisive victory by a combined force of the American Continental Army troops led by General George Washington with support from Marquis de Lafayette and French Army troops led by Comte de Rochambeau and a French naval force commanded by Comte de Grasse over the British Army commanded by British Lieutenant General Charles Cornwallis.
The siege of Yorktown was the last major land battle of the American Revolutionary War in North America. It led to the surrender of General Cornwallis and the capture of both him and his army. The Continental Army's victory at Yorktown prompted the British government to negotiate an end to the conflict.

Awesome video, dude. As a suggestion for future videos, you should do the Battle of Kadesh (1274 B.C.E.) and Suppiluliuma vs Tausret (non-historical) for Pharaoh, the Battle of the Sabis (57 B.C.E.) and Ardiaei vs Massilia (non-historical) for Rome II, and the Siege of Milan (452 C.E.) and Vandals vs Picts (non-historical) for Attila. That way, we will have covered all three periods of ancient warfare; early antiquity/bronze weapons (Pharaoh), classical antiquity/iron weapons (Rome II), and late antiquity/steel weapons (Attila). Keep up the amazing work👍!

Btw I literally went to Yorktown the day before this was commented to I will share what I learned. The redoubts were taken at night, and they did not shoot they only charged with bayonets.

The British uniform in the video is Pattern 1742
However this uniform were outdated and replaced by Pattern 1768 uniform
