How to Make a Barbie Dress - Perfect Day Barbie Pink Gingham Dress Cosplay Tutorial

Tutorial is based on my own gingham dress pattern so I go straight into it but feel free to use it for your own! x
Here is a tutorial for how I made my Barbie movie dress cosplay from scratch! This is ideal for you if you're looking for that movie-accurate flare on your Barbie dress.

I will be posting the bow tutorial soon also! It's super cute. If you are wondering about how I patterned this is made mock-ups with muslin, made amendments and then this fit first-time! I always recommend mock-ups first even when using a pre-bought pattern. You can make the mock-up as messy as you want and then you will feel extra confident sewing with your final fabric. It seems like more time but I feel it actually saves time and avoids hiccups with the final piece.
