    Since 22 February 2021 the tallest building in the EU has been the Varso Tower in Warsaw, Poland, which is 310 metres tall. And it has a sky garden on top of the building that you can go to.

    Actually you could be my guide to Warsaw. You have been there more time than me.
    If you would came to Poland in December you could experience how "short" days are during winter. The sunrise is at past 7 am and sunset is at about 4 pm. It is also too cold to hang out outside and towns look like ghost towns. That is why we all are always waiting the summer to come.

    Two things to remember when in Poland, and I've been told this many times, cross the streets and obey the crossing lights at the cross walks and don't drink alcohol from open containers in public. I have been stopped and questioned also, luckily my friend told the police I was an American who did not know better.

    • @Ntwadumela1
      @Ntwadumela1 Год назад

      You do not have to cross a crosswalk if you have more than 100 meters to the nearest one. A Pole would get a ticket for that, the cops were understanding only because he was a foreigner.

    You need to walk around Żoliborz district. It's a quite different and lovely area - the most popular and probably most expensive to live in. It's like a small, atmospheric town within a town. Furthermore, it's quieter, green, filled with history.

    If you looked Polish they would give a ticket. Foreigners are normally treated so much nicer by Poland's police. So consider yourself lucky.

    Hi Luke, really enjoying the videos! I can recommend in Wola District where Warsaw Uprising Museum is located to go and see Plac Europejski and Browary. Browary has a very nice food court with lots of options.

    hey Luke, about that police incident at Nowy Świat street, yeep they would have stop You even if You'd be tall, blonde, blue eyed Aryan looking guy. They basically station there now, bc on the other side of the street when You enter backyard area there's some pubs/bars/shisha bars... and ppl used to cross here all the time causing some mayhem on the street... But You 're right, in spring/summertime weekends Nowy Świat is off limits for cars and it's turned in one great pavement basically.

    Stay strong, remember the civilization started as a movement which wanted to overcome struggle of bad, cold weather. Those who did not struggle are still not civilized. In oppose to Africans we in Europe were taught discipline, you have 4 months to accomplish a task or you and your family is dead. Pretty simple. That is why the civilization grew up in harsh conditions, and not where you can decide you want to work or not this day.

    Luke, I was stopped some time ago in Warsaw for crossing on a cross walk but on a red light. It took about 10 minutes for these guys to figure it out that I wasn’t going to pay a fine since I’ve got both Polish an American citizenship.

    • @jacekchmielewski6372

      Thanks for commenting, but there is always context. When I was stopped, the police detected my accent and saw that I had two passports because they were in my pocket. They attempted to get cash when I told them I don’t have cash although they saw some dollars in my wallet they backed off as I said that this is now being recorded. So it’s got nothing to do with a US passport, but someone police issues like you see in the United States all over the place.
