      @Wooten - Unfortunately, I didn't get it after just 3-5 business days as usual. I ordered through the Scandinavian electronics giant called Komplett and it took 22 days before my mouse arrived!
      Also I was in the USA for two weeks a day after the mouse arrived and came home just 5 days ago. So I have barely had a week to check out the mouse, but so far it rocks in every aspect! It's high-performing, beautifully designed, fits perfectly in my hand, there's a lot of neat buttons that can be bound to anything and the software is easy to control. And the battery life is very high, even with my extensive usage! :D
      *My verdict: 10/10* - I recommend this mouse beyond anything, the only con is the price, which might make some people back up.

      Wow thank you for the insight! and I had to order it yesterday after seeing so many great reviews. I have used a Razer Deathadder for a year now , which has left me wanting a bit more spice out of my mouse. Thanks and good luck Zyperspace

      I think I'll get g502 when my g500 ever breaks down, paying as much as for mechanical keyboard is too much just to get wireless. Additionally, I actually hate that it's so light and has no adjustable weight, I always liked heavier mouses.

      +Joek227 Don't get me wrong. DeathAdder is a really nice product (I'm using mine since 2011). But as I'm much more a tech enthusiast than a skilled gamer, I'll gladly take the freedom of a wireless device even if the promised fast responses are a little worst than announced. Besides that, I really liked G900 Chaos's aesthetics even being a fan of minimalist / "clean looking" product design.

      +TheSpaceMonkeyTube i've sold my deathadder 2013 with that cronic problem in the scroll to buy an G402 and i liked it so much :p. They have the G602 with a cleaner look too, who's the best wireless mice before the G900, but even over the G602, the G900 is a HUGE upgrade, taking off the battery life, but in theory the G900 has a faster recharge. O Leon tem um G602 desde sempre shaushuahsu a Logitech nunca decepciona praticamente.

      I have a G502, G602, G703 (most recent), Death Adder Chroma, Mionix Naos 7000, BenQ ZOWIE EC1, and other cheaper mouses. Although I just bought the new G703. I still think the Death Adder Chroma is still one of my favorite due to the ergonomic shape and the click. For shooting games, I prefer the Mionix Naos 7000, Death Adder Chroma, and the new G703 that I just bought. For MMO, I like the G602 since it has many buttons.

    I'd kind of like to see a massive, March Madness style review of a bunch different peripherals. Like, for example, start with 64 different mice (or keyboards, headphones whatever, but obviously one type per tournament) and have a series of videos in which everyone at LTT tries/reviews 2 of them head-to-head at a time, votes on which one is better, then moves on to the next 1v1 battle until the champion emerges!

      did you have any problems the g502 had?

    • @AluminumHaste
      @AluminumHaste 8 лет назад

      +TROLLFACE KNIGHT The only issue I ever had with the G502 was that the cursor would jump all over the screen during rapid up and down movements. Granted it was a very rare event.
      This mouse has not done it yet, and no wireless issues either, the mouse has yet to skip.
      And the battery performance is amazing. I can't stress this enough. I charged the mouse when I first got it, and didn't charge it again until 5 days later, and that's after using using it for 8-10 hours a day. And there was still 15% charge left.
      So far it's been faultless, the best mouse I've ever used.

    • @thefuckklay
      @thefuckklay 8 лет назад

      AluminumHaste i had the problem with the g502's feet peeling of only after 15 hours of use, and i think the g502 is way to heavy.thx for taking your time to write this

    • @AluminumHaste
      @AluminumHaste 8 лет назад +1

      +TROLLFACE KNIGHT YES I did have that problem! But Logitech sent me a brand new one under warranty and I haven't had a problem since. I did find it way to heavy. Great for working in Photoshop, bur for Quake live it was too heavy.

      Depends. If your laptop is a mobile workstation but your peripherals stay and you dock your laptop when you get home I don't see a problem. But if you constantly take your laptop and all your peripherals with you I can get why people would choose a wireless mouse instead

      I tried the G502 in the store but not the G900 because i didnt knew that pc mouse existed until now but i would go for the G900 because it looks better, it looks easier to click on and my biggest reason why y should go for the G900 is because the G502 buttons on thumb side is super easy to bump into so it would be uncomfortble when gaming in my opinion. If i had G502 i woudnt be able to focus when gaming

      The g502 is for FPS games like csgo. They have the exact same sensor and the exact same performance. I play FPS games so I use the logitech g502. If you are into MMO and other types of games then go with the g900.

    One thing this lacks is a dock like in sensei if you plan on using this in desktop. Its just so much easier to have dock in table and after you leave the desk just put mice on it. Although its not that big of a deal, with dock you would never have to worry about charging.

  • @ogretheberserker2618
    @ogretheberserker2618 8 лет назад +1

    Yeah Logi has really stepped up the wireless game. I have been using the G602 for over 2 years and I have never had one problem with it. I only need to change the rechargeable batteries once a month or so and when I am not gaming I put it in endurance mode and it just goes. Even when I am at 20% battery I put it in endurance mode and I will get another week out of it. When gaming I never get input lag or if there is any I do not notice it. I would like this one but my g602 is still going strong so I will wait.

    Found this video while browsing some LTT vids and I can concur that this is the best mouse I've ever used. It's crazy comfortable, a pleasure to use, and I did actually notice the difference in precision when going from the G602 to this G900. If you're a G602 user and want to upgrade, this is a great mouse because it has the same amount of programmable buttons, it's wireless, it's lighter, and it's just all around better. I don't think I can ever go back to normal mice ever again. I love this mouse so much I look for reasons to use it.

  • @MenacingNoodle

    The one thing that I think they messed up on was the scroll wheel. The rotational inertia of a disc is much lower than that of a ring attached by spokes. I know that at this scale and with these materials it probably has a very small effect, but then again so would removing less than a gram of material.
    So then why does it matter? Durability. The solid disc would hold up better to the stress of long arduous gaming sessions, and leaves fewer holes through which Dorito crumbs can slip. Overall, I applaud their effort, but a solid disc is just better.

    thank you for the review luke and the video/editing guys behind the scenes. I built a HTPC and couldn't settle on a wireless mouse (or keyboard) based on very sketchy reviews. This new mouse looks to be a winner. Just hope it performs as well for the 6 or 7 feet distance I need from my living room couch. Went from g602 250 hours to 32 hours, external battery to internal battery, from total wireless to wired & wireless. Marketed as lightweight & power efficient "Every component of Chaos Spectrum has been optimized to reduce weight" but included RGB lighting which surely cost weight & power for the lights. Dust gathering pockets on the mouse surface makes it easier for dust to gather and get into the mouse. The good is the new sensor, the pivot button design, and lighter weight. Also what's with all the mouse feet covering the screws? makes opening it to fix stuff/clean impossible without destroying the mouse feet, go back to the days of mx512 screw placement. Cost a bomb too more than double the g602 price and can buy a decent monitor with that kind of money. Gaming mouse shouldn't cost this much. Have the g602 but seeing the price alone just doesn't justify me upgrading to it.

    Bought this mouse to replace my G9X that I'd had for soo many years.
    I'm really picky when it comes to my mice and the nr 1 thing that my replacement needed to be was comfortable.
    Although this mouse doesn't feel like the G9X does in your hand I must say, I didn't hate it.
    Which is a really good sign for someone like me lol.
    Had the mouse for about 3 months now and I can't complain. It was a good replacement.
    Even though I think the G9X is the best mouse of all time, it got too old on me and needed replacement.
    I recommend this mouse.

    I wish the DPI adjustment was a little more fluid. I hate how often I accidentally hit the thumb buttons; particularly with the default web-browing settings. And sometimes even with updated drivers, it forgets I don't want the LEDs turned on. Otherwise, I've had this for about 6 months now, and I've been *super* happy with it.

    I personally like a heavier mouse. the Logitech G700S I bought in 2014 is just awesome, with 13 buttons, and only one button in the center of the mouse (beside the scroll and the scroll mode switch), which is most comfortable for me. The 900 mouse has too many buttons in the center for my taste. the G700S is also a wireless/wired mouse, and it actually used a AA NiMH battery, which makes for an easy swap when I'll need to dispose of it (still haven't needed to do so). It'd still be nice to have a comparison between these two mice.

    I got the Logitech G700s for 50€ (56$US or 74$CA) and I think it is much better than the G900. I like heavier mice because they just feel more natural to me. The G700s also features a replaceable battery and the difference in inputlag is so small I bet most of the people won't even notice it. The only real advantage the G900 has over the G700s is the ambidextrous design. Other than that I would never pay 120€ more for RGB lighting and some new fancy mechanical buttons.
    And also: I would never ever give up the three extra indexfinger-buttons or 2 extra thumb-buttons.

    You go to the design labs, eh?
    Here's something to take with you -
    Their keyboard designs need a dedicated push-to-talk button somewhere. For me, personally, it does not have to be conveniently placed - since I always map them to my mouse anyway. But many games and some other apps don't recognize many mouse buttons (sometimes none at all). This requires keybinding some random keyboard key and then mapping that keystroke to the mouse... Placing a Push-to-talk key on new designs would make this a non-issue; just map that key in whatever client you're using and then to the programmable mouse buttons.
    Below the spacebar and centered would seem most sensible, though would take getting used to, as that would make the button ambidextrous in usage.

I have NO trouble with it and I have not noticed any lag, except if it has been idle for a while, and then only the first move. I rate it 7/10.
    Nice technical approach which works well, bonus points for vertical and free scrolling (otherwise 6/10), but not enough (thumb) buttons, and design not ergonomic enough. Also, again, useless RGB shit. Stop that, wastes battery life (although on this one it can be deactivated, which is good) and I have my hand placed right over it anyway and cant see it.

    Come to think about it, other than battery life issue which is natural, it's crazy that this mouse is still standing strong accompanying me since 2016. Still works fine even when I have never open it up yet. I've already had Razer Basilisk V2 as a backup replacement for almost year now, in case that my G900 decided to not work on me anymore, but I'm still getting back to it.
    It's so hard to replace. Mostly because of the side middle buttons and the free scroll wheel feature.
    I've considered to get the G903 as the replacement before, but then again, I remember that G-Hub is kinda shit, especially when you compare it to the older LGS. So that's why I've moved on to Razer Basilisk V2 despite being a bit hesitant to let go of the free wheel feature. Software-wise, Razer Central/Synapse is way better.

    Most reviews claim that G900/G903 mouse has the lowest latency / lag, and it may even beat wired mice.
    I find those claims dubios because Logitech G700 released in 2013 and G903 released in 2017 have the same 1000Hz (once per 1 millisecond) USB poll rate. What that means is that on average the mouse-click-to-OS latency average is 0.5 milliseconds. Unless processing clicks and moves in the mouse itself before emitting the events to the wire/RF have non-trivial time, which Logitech never claimed to have improved.
    In other words, G900/G903 has no latency edge to mice existing since 2013, despite many RUclipsrs claiming this wireless mouse is something extraordinary. It may well be more accurate due to the newer sensor, but latency-wise it is the same responsiveness as G700 had in 2013.
    Anyone claiming otherwise must provide verifiable latency benchmarks. Logitech have been comparing these new expensive G900/G903 mouse to competitors' products but not to its own older mice. G900/G903 have too few buttons and the ambidextrousity is a drawback for right-handed people.
    What Logitech should do is to release a refresh to G700 with all these new technologies but with the same design and buttons.
    I feel like RUclipsrs get paid to advertise the mouse as something extraordinary.
