My favourite things nowadays is watching one of your top 10 songs or ranking the albums videos and check all the songs you mention and praise (that I'm not familiar with) afterwards from Spotify. Found a huuuge amount of killer tunes and deep album cuts, thanks to you. Keep up the good work and thanks for great content!

I'm one of the ones that asked Pete about why he doesn't cover punk bands like The Ramones and The Clash. I'm a punk fan and former bass guitar player for a punk band called The Shitbirds. Look on RUclips. 👍 That being said.. I love classic rock! And Pete really covers classic rock . And he covers that topic VERY well! Look at him wearing a Foghat shirt! 😀👍 Love me some Foghat! Yes I own music from them! So let's take a "Slow Ride" and enjoy Pete's videos here! He's turned me on to many cool bands with his videos! Rock On Pete! 👍😀

You’re superb at this Pete, been a subscriber for best part of a year and I don’t think I could listen to any other RUclipsr (don’t mean that term disparagingly as you’ve obviously got a life outside of YT) for the 30-45 minutes that I do with your uploads. You are a natural communicator with an extensive knowledge base which is a rare thing to find on this platform.
Quick apology as I realise I am one of those people who asked you to do another bands worst to best on the Deep Purple upload. I think we are all quite anxious to hear your take on our own favourite bands, so in a way it’s a compliment, but I understand where you are coming from and not to take things off topic considering the effort you’re putting in. Perhaps you could do one of those very quick written posts just briefly outlining what’s coming up? Might help but I dunno could just be creating extra work for you! Keep it up though Pete you’re doing great and thanks

The downside of popularity is that you inevitably attract a lot of casual viewers who aren't on the same page as your hardcore base and sometimes are just pure trolls. The only way to deal with them is to simply not acknowledge their existence . Totally 100% ignore them. Period.
I've seen other content creators get consumed with their critics and haters and it just leads to an overall unpleasant and negative atmosphere on the channel. Remember that they are a tiny minority and most of your subscribers are very grateful for the work you put in and they should always be the focus.

    Excellent rant!
It doesn't get any better than this, folks... all right?
My only gripe is that every time I watch a Sea Of Tranquility video I almost always end up spending money because I get reminded I am missing something in my collection.
I dig the answer to what you listen on. I used to have the big expensive stereo system but nowadays all I have is a mint 1959 stereo console I bought for $65 at an antique store. I didn't even care if it worked I just liked the way it looked. When I found out it worked I hooked up my CD player (now also my docking station) because it sounds 20x better than any digital system. I even use it when I want to fiddle around on my bass.
I come here for the fun. It's cool to see what others taste in music is. There is no such a thing as a bad list, even if it has Cher's 'Greatest Hits' on it (okay I will deny ever saying that after this). It's cool that you love a lot of the same music I dig but it's just different enough to make it interesting.
    Keep it going, man!

A couple of points based on your video:
    1. I'm from the UK. Please, help us.
    2. The internet has created a tough world. Before the 90s, let's say, it used to be so easy to be a fan of something, let them do their thing, we would complain to our friends if we didn't like it or talk endlessly if we did, we'd go to the concerts and vote with our hands if we liked something or not. Now, it's so much more complicated but still comes from one simple place: ego. That goes for the host of this video, and for everyone of us who watches it and comments. We all want things our way. We all want the good stuff out of life; Mr Pardo, you want to get 100 million subscribers, as long as they're not attention-seeking children asking the same questions, and viewers all want you to be their best friend so they can feel nice about themselves that they're good friends with the host of a popular RUclips channel. The internet was and is the best social experiment there's ever been in human history.
    3. Where do you get your t-shirts?
    x

Worlds of respect for you good sir and what you do. I'm a fairly new viewer over the last 3 months and I love your channel. As a child of the 60's, you are talking about the musical world i live in. I also have seen a good number of these bands live over the 70's, 80's and 90's and up and i love your reviews. A lot of times your videos make me revisit stuff i haven't heard in years. Kudos to you sir!! Keep up the good work!!

GOOGLE IS YOUR FRIEND! It amazes me how many people are useless at finding things on the internet. Thanks for all you do! I've been a subscriber for a little over a year and love what you do. I'm not into all the genres that you are but that's ok. Maybe I don't watch a particular you've done then. It's like TV....if you don't like what you see, change the channel. I particularly like when you feature new music. I've checked out some new to me bands based on a recommendation from you. So keep this channel going! I really appreciate what you do and the dedication you have to a quality product. Ingore the haters and trolls. They're usually closed minded people anyway.

You are perfectly right, tarkus522! I don't understand why Pete has to explain to some people everytime, that bands or albums HE recommends, are HIS favorites and those people who cannot accept the simple fact that everyone of us can have different tastes are simple minded.

Really enjoy your channel, sir. Yes I am a January convert and subscriber and as you said, I love just listening to talk of metal, prog and classic / hard rock.. So kudos. And how can opinions offend? That baffles me.. So keep up the great work.. In fact it amazes me HOW MUCH you do!
This has been a godsend to me.. I wish I had found it earlier as I have been off work with heart failure ( no violins needed!! Leave that to Kansas) 😁 and this is exactly the kind of thing I love but I will be a regular viewer from now on and I know a few friends to recommend it to. So greetings from the Midlands in England ( birthplace of Metal) and horns up \m/
    Aaaaaand GO SEAHAWKS!! 🤘
Oh. OK. Wrong Superbowl 🙄. But We will be back.. Mwahahaha

pete, just to let you know your channel is superb. I first came to your site when I came across you unboxing the Hendrix box set songs for groovy children, and I have not stopped since. I love your ranking the albums and reviewing albums. your passion for music is very infectious. Thank you for all your hard work. The deep purple live albums reviews was very welcome as I have been looking to get some more live purple for some time. look forward to what you have in store during 2020.

Hi, I found your page not long ago and enjoy it. I will readily admit that these types of bands aren't generally my favorite bands and many others I'm not as familiar about but am learning things I never did before. I am a fan of Punk/New Wave bands and that's my favorite types of music but I know a lot about those bands, and not as much about bands you mention. I completely understand sticking to music you prefer and like the most, it gets boring when people have to talk about things they aren't as into. Ironically, Styx is from my area and growing up it was common to see a band member in the store or out and about and briefly attended school with one of their kids. Finally, I agree about Big and Whitney Houston not being Rock but disagree with Duran Duran. I say that because they play instruments and many of their songs are guitar based. I understand why many think they aren't rock.

Pete, just discovered your You Tube channel a couple weeks ago and I find myself still up at 4 AM watching your videos. Love to hear your thoughts on guitarists "The Edge" from U2 and Buckethead. Also, do you like Mott the Hoople and did you enjoy the 1 Queen album with Paul Rogers ? Love your work and keep on rockin' buddy!!

This was informative. Your site is the one I go to the most as far as music goes. I also like to visit "Reaction" videos because I have a soft spot watching young music fans enjoying "Close to the Edge" or "Animals". It's nice to see them helping ensure the classic status of many fine imaginative artists. Now I'll check out your Ranking "The Doors" Have a great day!

Hello Pete. I’m a new subscriber and really enjoy your extensive knowledge and opinion about the various prog rock, classic rock and metal bands that are out there. I noticed some guitars hanging in the background of your videos and wondered if you play guitar or any other musical instrument? If so, have you ever played in a band?

Just found your channel. Thank you for introducing me to Brandy (You're a fine girl). Heard you talked about it in one of your videos and I decided to hear it. Great song. I knew it before but had never paid attention to it. Now I hear it constantly. Also found a great version by Red Hot Chili Peppers. Hope to find more gold in your videos. Greetings from Denmark.

I think it would be a great idea if you made a video about best compilations/best of's of your favourite bands. This is sometimes a great way to get to know a band, most compilations suck but if you have some favourites it would be great to hear. For me personally it is very hard to get into progressive rock bands, but sometimes there is some gems - although it is hard to go through whole discographies, there is so much music... anyway thank you for this channel :)

    Great work Pete !
My favorite music dude and Deep Purple and Rainbow my favourite bands 🤩.
Lists - I like Reading yours and find other people's really interesting.
There is NO need for abuse. !
Music segments - I seriously can't believe people are asking you to play parts of songs.
    Hey geniuses . . .
Pete would have to pay these bands royalties/residuals.
