Just a quick video showing how I changed the Rear Brake Pads & Rotors on a 2016 Scion iM. This would be the same process for the Toyota Corolla iM.
    Tools needed:
    14mm socket and/or wrench
17mm thin open end wrench if slide pins spin when removing them or tightening them.
Flathead Screwdriver or small pry bar for prying the caliper off.
Disc Brake Caliper Wind Back Tool (Caliper Pistons are Threaded). They both turn back in clockwise.
    Torque wrench
    Silicone Based Brake grease
    Medium strength thread locker
    Small Sledge Hammer
The torque specs I found online are:
42 ft. lbs for the caliper bracket bolts
25 ft. lbs for the caliper slide pin bolts
    Thanks for watching!

I check videos for all the cars I work on in the family just to be sure I don’t miss anything and this video is by far the most instructive one. Like making sure all the air is out when you put the guide pin back in. Thanks for all the small details!

Great detail on cleaning the guide pins; most other videos do not show this.

We're in the middle of a brake job and after 15 minutes of searching for the REAR torque specs for a 2017 Toyota Corolla iM, this is the only place that was definitive, so we followed 42 & 25 ft-pounds as defined here.

Im using a tool like yours to push the caliber piston back in but it's stuck. Any reason for that? And what could be done thank you!

Sometimes the tool will get stuck because the threads are not the same as the threaded piston. You may have to back the tool off and re-adjust it to continue to spin it back in. Best of luck to you.

Super informative! Is the process for the front brake pads exactly the same or there's some differences that i need to know?
    Thanks man!

It's similar but not exactly the same. I found them the easier. I'm having trouble with the rears, hence why I'm here lol
