This was a pre-recording from yesterday morning on Twitch (I'm uploading it here again in case anyone missed my live), right as this news dropped so the livechat & myself were still figuring out how to process everything happening with the initial shock and then trying our best to understand what BTS was telling us. I think what broke me down the most were their words about feeling lost and apologizing for having to take a break to self-heal & grow, something we all as HUMANS deserve every single day. Something they felt guilty for- that BREAKS ME. I had all day to process this video, watch other people's thoughts, hear more perspectives, re-listen to all seven again, to truly understand what BTS wanted to share with ARMY. Throughout this video I've already expressed how I feel, which is nothing but love & gratitude towards BTS. Their transparency in this video leaves me in awe. It takes so much bravery, courage, compassion to be so vulnerable & to share these personal struggles with the entire world. I am forever indebted to these 7 angels for being the greatest examples of 'LOVE YOURSELF'. Thank you for teaching ARMY what 'LOVE YOURSELF' really is about- it's a self-journey, it's an on-going healing process, a journey that never stops, it's not just about loving the best version of yourself but it's about accepting ALL versions of yourself, and this starts with discovering WHO all those versions are- from all the past versions of yourself & who you are as you stand today. WHO AM I? BTS said. FACE YOURSELF. BTS said. SPEAK YOURSELF. BTS said. LOVE YOURSELF. BTS said. And it wasn't until this 'PROOF' comeback, after they poured their heart & soul in 'Yet To Come' then again in this video, that really showed me.... that allowed me to TRULY understand what these phrases meant. I wish all 7 of them have time to recharge, finally at a human pace, re-discover themselves as individuals, find new inspirations, and come back together STRONGER as BTS whenever they're ready. I totally agree with you. BTS is leading Army by example. Yoongi and RM are two of the bravest Authentic human beings on the planet. Girl, at first, when i got to know the news , I wasn't prepared for that. I was legit confused as I didn't see the festa dinner yet back then. Actually, I was studying, ..girl, to tell you the truth, i have one of the biggest exams of my life coming up just after 3 days. And I am struggling the hell out of me to do my best at the exam, and u know..so I am just unable to express how much stress & tension I am going thru right now. So for me It was a REALLY BAD TIMING. I just couldn't process everything inside my mind. I don't know if I am able to express what I am feeling right now. Well, I am 17, and I am in a phase of my student life where I have to give one of the biggest exam ever amd make my parents proud. I don't know If you can understand.🥲 I dont know gurl, i am just feeling the urge to share it with you, coz I have been watching you since so long and u give me joy and I feel a special ARMY bond with you ever since🥺. So what I was saying is that, When this news came out , I got totally speechless and I didn't want to break down at this important moment of the phase that I am going thru. But still, I couldn't hold myself back from crying when I saw various articles and stuffs, I saw some little moments from the festa videos and I just couldn't process it all and I JUST wanted to go to my army bestie(my cousin) and just hug her crying together, but I couldn't find a shoulder for me😔..I just freaking broke down in front of my parents and they naturally got worried seeing me like that before 3 days of my exam🙂. I STILL haven't watched the whole video, but saw some moments and I already know what they are trying to convey thru their messages in the video after observing different other people's reactions and everyone's perspectives and the description from some articles. I , at present, am not ABLE to dip into further analysis of these things, because u know...i already said about the period/phase that I am passing. But I know it now, army's hearts, the reactions everywhere, the supportive comments of love from armys , I know it now that they are doing EVERYTHING for good. I just want to make myself think just UPTO THAT CONCLUSION. I just cannot express how much pain I went through yesterday night when I cried my lungs out with the fear of future and thousands of doubts regarding them. I almost passed out by the heartbreak, but for the sake of ONE MY BIGGEST PHASE of life, I needed to stand strong and fight through my hardtime and analyze everything later. I just want to ignore the bad thoughts that I had until now since the news came out, when I got lost in a maze. I just want to FORGET it just now, and I'll make myself calm , relaxed and strong now. Coz I already know THEY MUST'VE OBVIOUSLY TOOK A RIGHT DECISION. As long as they are there, I am good. It's just that the sudden wave of shock shakened me badly,...well yeah,..I will love them FOREVER obviously.💕💕 I am utterly shocked and amazed after this festa video (though I didnt watch it fully), that how much they think of us, HOW MUCH OF A FAMILY THEY THINK WE ALL ARE , THAT THEY SHARED THEIR THESE KIND OF THOUGHTS WITH US. Always proud of them to be honest💕. This can be seen as filtering out some of the bad apples! I’m sure the guys knew that they would lose people with this announcement but they’re prioritizing their well-being and I’m so proud of them for that.
My gosh look at Hobi’s face as Joonie is crying, he literally starts rocking back and forth. And Jimin looks absolutely sad and distraught. This was so hard to watch 💔
Our precious Joonie... 😭 The weight he has carried on his shoulders as BTS' leader is so beyond tangible here... Yes, they've all struggled with pressures and expectations and trying to never disappoint anyone, but RM most of all. Here, he finally lets us see it - so candid and vulnerable... Joonie is The Best Leader- but he deserves to put that aside for now and just BE. Honestly, I don't think he'll truly realize how heavy it was until he's free from it. 9 years in the public eye, constantly having to monitor and mediate and speak for them - it's like he was holding his breath the whole time, feeling personally responsible for anything that went wrong... Now he can breathe. I'm so happy for him - he needs this. 🐨🤗💜⁷
Yes Joonie is the best without him i have no idea how the 6 members will survive and become this right, he gave them advice, idea, and a lot more of what they need. So you handled it well . Don’t cry. from now on it time for you to relax be yourself do something fore yourself spend time with your love one. @@sinthag6476 Honestly, and sadly, it's the nature of the beast, in that leaders take the brunt of the criticism - or will deflect criticism of others onto themselves. He's had his guard up 24/7/365 and that prevents him from relaxing basically ever. How exhausting!!! And the people mocking Joonie's honest and courageous display of emotion - turning him into a meme/still shot/sound bite with no regard to context... Eff them.

Now everything makes sense, the sadness in there eyes during concerts although they tried to hide that, the way taetae came live and was repeating the run bts episodes, they way they ended the chapter everything was in front of our eyes, but proud of them rather then official statement they shared their views themselves and most important thing it's the real time for now to respect their decision and to support them no matter what, BTS-ARMY forever 💜
Absolutely, this explains so much... like how they didn't perform any solos or unit songs at PTD. I saw them at SoFi in December (so grateful!) - and I wonder if they knew then... I think they did.

I loved that TaeHyung corrected NJ on the fan issue with 90% of fans not being disappointed. So gentle, like when he corrected Jin on stage with “not a burden”.
I’m old enough to be their mom, and I wish I could hug them and reassure them that they are supported in becoming the best versions of themselves. That’s part of growing up and they are allowed to explore for themselves. It doesn’t mean the end of BTS - the group, like each individual, will evolve and let’s be excited for what’s to come. But crying is okay too!
It must have been a struggle for them to be put into such unexpected situations, one after another (seriously, it really shows their abilities that they reached pinnacles in their careers even with their plans constantly derailing). I'm so proud of the way they kept moving forward and how they were able to step back to see when they needed to change their directions. I admire them for being true to themselves and am touched at how they're so sincere with us, as their fans. BTS truly is the best band and deserve the world. 💜 I hope they're able to walk on a flower path as they take this time to discover more of themselves as individuals. ARMY will still support them as they do and will also wait for their grp's return.

BTS/방탄소년단 has been entertaining the world for the past 9 years. I simply can not believe the pace these guys were on! so if these guys need to slow their stride and take a few years to focus on their personal projects. Why not! it’s well deserved. besides, if I was on the same pace, I’d burnt out long time ago and be stressed/depressed even before that.
Watched this alone and cried a whole river... Decided to watch it again with you because you make me feel understood and represented as army...I was ready for it but still I couldn't bare to see them crying...jimin broke me instantly and joon ended me for good. I just can't.. I'm beyond happy that they took this step but it hurts me to see the pain coming out of them as they feeling guilty for needing a break or not keeping up with our expectations, when every army expectation should exactly be to prioritize their health, happiness and well being no matter what, assuring them that we will be here every step of the way. No matter the path they take or the direction they follow, army will always be walking side by side with them!
Let's support all 7 bts members solo projects. This is what they need. They deserve to show world who they are individually at artists. Good luck boys.
President NamJoon is crying when he says "rules of the world" which tells me how much the BS nonsense of other people's expectations, criticisms, and pressure has confined his personal spirit too long so he cannot take it anymore. Even a machine breaks down, and he is a human heart. RM is very hardworking, stoic, a true leader so he does not give up. A true Warrior who will lead the ARMY and die for the ARMY. It pains my heart deeply to see RM so affected that he could not keep the tears from flowing. He must have been suffering for such a long time. All of them put on a happy face because BTS always sayd, They exist to make ARMY Happy with Positive Energy. Now, we should repay BTS kindness. We should put on a HAPPY face and be happy for them. Let them be human beings, rather than a machine who has to work so hard and cannot be themselves. I wish them SUCCESS in their Pursuit of Happiness.
Luckily i was able to catch up live with you on twitch yesterday. After shocking BTS Festa dinner yesterday, I went to my normal gym workout session this morning and in middle of the class for no reason tears streaming down onto my face.
It’s so bittersweet and my emotions are all over the place, but those 7 glorious, talented men deserve the best! They need to have a life outside of BTS to do grown man things and whatever else they desire. They earned it and they have my blessings, please go be happy!!! They’ve been doing this so long and it has to take a toll. Also people need time to find who they are as an individual and as Jin said they each have their own interests. I rather see them make the responsible choice and take a break before they actually break. It’s a great example to show others that even if you are on top it’s not always what actually matters.

It's a break, you guys, a little time to breathe for them. Can you imagine living under the pressure and demands their entire last 9 years has been? When so many shows such strong sad reactions to this simple announcement (that group music and promotions, new music is on a short break, because they need it and are going to do solo stuff for a little bit) then I'm worried it will make Namjoon especially, but all of the guys, feel even more guilty than they already feel. Let's be glad they're investing in themselves, their future and longevity overall.

I wasn’t able to process a word they said after knowing they will all go solo. For me they have done enough for the past 9 years. Not many people can be as devoted as them. Personally I wouldn’t want more from them. Guess we will see all 7 of them on stage when the time is right and that’s about it.

It's almost the end of the year and I still cry haha. I just love them so much, love how honest they are with us army. They always feel like family.. They built this community where we all feel like home .. 💜
I’m thankful that you got into the emotional highs and lows. I took me 4 tries to get through the whole original video. I’m a new ARMY and arrived at what they saw as their peak. I feel like I was late to a party that ended, but I also feel attached to BTS. Yesterday I felt gutted, until I fell asleep at 4a.m. I’ve only seen such positive posts - We understand you, you have our blessing, etc. I needed to work through the feelings and you helped. It sounds like they could be solo for a long time, to me. I’m a senior fan and didn’t attend LA or LV because I thought they were about to announce a tour. (and I wouldn’t have been able to stand in long lines) I didn’t get the messages or hints of these changes. I haven’t read lyrics to the new songs and my copy of Proof is in the mail. This Festa was painful to watch. I need straightforward information. It was hard to wait. V has been looking like he feels badly here and in his livestream. Where is info about his possibly doing a show? I went to Twitch yesterday and created an account. to see your livestream. it was only 38 min. I’m glad to see the whole dinner with you. If they’re off to find themselves, plus fulfill any government assignments, I don’t see a 7 person reunion for 6 or seven years. I’m trying to look forward to their solo work. yeah, it's the right time to do solos i mean which group waits for 9 years to do solos lol. it's hella impressive for BTS to just focus on the team rather than some groups will try and branch out, be it solos or drama acting 4-5 years into their debut or less. ( i'm generalising not targeting specific groups )
Hybe made the announcement this morning (Wednesday 06/15/22) that it's not a hiatus! I think they did it because their stock plummeted $1.4 billion during the first hour of trading. 🥺

When namjoon said other guys are good at performing as if he's not, it hurt me so much. If i was him I'd have felt the same bcoz armys never really talk about his performance other than ddaeng or look here. Only his speeches, leadership and lyrics get talked about. What abt his phenomenal performance? Is this what made him feel that he's not good? Oh the camera doesn't even pan to him during the concerts so how are fans supposed to see his performance? Hope he gets the spotlight he deserves in this new journey. I've always felt he'd do so well especially in the west, not bcoz of his English but his skills. I don't think korea will ever appreciate him. But if he moves to other countries like US he'll be really successful even Wale said it. I feel sad that before bts became too big like now, he used to get a lot of collab opportunities but now it only goes to popular members. Now he's free to make his own name.
Yeah watching this during premiere was just... I got scared when they started alluding to parting ways. Thank God it wasn't what I thought it was but man the emotions. I had to go to a meeting, too. I asked to push the next meeting back an hour to process my emotions. 😅

I agree with you! Jimin’s eyes i’ve been looking to him since PTD time. There’s sadness in it and his quiteness for the past 2 months (referring to the recent perf/contents) he is not his usual self. I thought he is just maturing, or got shy or being mysterious but he is really sad. The anxiety build up on him. I want to hug him, he is not my bias but im OT7 and i love them. I saw it coming right after I listened/ watched "Yet to Come"!! So I wasn't really shocked by the news, not even sad because I expected something worse.. (I didn't read the news from Twitter or anything, I only found out about it from watching the FESTA) anyway I'm very happy for them! They definitely needed this break, and should have had it a while before.. I just wish them happiness, heath and success in whatever they choose to do! I'm always rooting for them 💜

It is possible to propose a military exemption law as a special presidential law. ARMYs around the world ask the Korean government to exempt them from military service.
BTS pouring their hearts on yet there's still people only focused on ships🙄🤬. I am so glad BTS will be working individually, so that solo stan bandwagons and shippers can go away. Poor members can never interact without them exaggerating it and puting it in wannabe behavioral analyst videos. They are group members but they are individual people first and I am glad they get to live as such for a while.

No they want to take time off from group comebacks because they are burnt out and its hard to come up with songs for the group right now, they want to explore solo projects and experience other things right now and also we may have to hear news of the e-word soon. But, also solo albums (not mixtapes) will be coming soon starting with JHope next month and he will be headlining at Lollapalooza festival in Chicago. They will still do a few things a group on occasions and RUN BTS episodes might be coming back in a smaller capacity, but they want to do things on their own for a while and then someday return if they have new music to bring as a group.

But still, I couldn't hold myself back from crying when I saw various articles and stuffs, I saw some little moments from the festa videos and I just couldn't process it all and I JUST wanted to go to my army bestie(my cousin) and just hug her crying together, but I couldn't find a shoulder for me😔..I just freaking broke down in front of my parents and they naturally got worried seeing me like that before 3 days of my exam🙂. I STILL haven't watched the whole video, but saw some moments and I already know what they are trying to convey thru their messages in the video after observing different other people's reactions and everyone's perspectives and the description from some articles. I , at present, am not ABLE to dip into further analysis of these things, because u know...i already said about the period/phase that I am passing. But I know it now, army's hearts, the reactions everywhere, the supportive comments of love from armys , I know it now that they are doing EVERYTHING for good. I just want to make myself think just UPTO THAT CONCLUSION. I just cannot express how much pain I went through yesterday night when I cried my lungs out with the fear of future and thousands of doubts regarding them. I almost passed out by the heartbreak, but for the sake of ONE MY BIGGEST PHASE of life, I needed to stand strong and fight through my hardtime and analyze everything later.
I just want to ignore the bad thoughts that I had until now since the news came out, when I got lost in a maze. I just want to FORGET it just now, and I'll make myself calm , relaxed and strong now. Coz I already know THEY MUST'VE OBVIOUSLY TOOK A RIGHT DECISION. As long as they are there, I am good. It's just that the sudden wave of shock shakened me badly,...well yeah,..I will love them FOREVER obviously.💕💕 I am utterly shocked and amazed after this festa video (though I didnt watch it fully), that how much they think of us, HOW MUCH OF A FAMILY THEY THINK WE ALL ARE , THAT THEY SHARED THEIR THESE KIND OF THOUGHTS WITH US. I’m old enough to be their mom, and I wish I could hug them and reassure them that they are supported in becoming the best versions of themselves. That’s part of growing up and they are allowed to explore for themselves. It doesn’t mean the end of BTS - the group, like each individual, will evolve and let’s be excited for what’s to come. But crying is okay too!
It must have been a struggle for them to be put into such unexpected situations, one after another (seriously, it really shows their abilities that they reached pinnacles in their careers even with their plans constantly derailing).
I'm so proud of the way they kept moving forward and how they were able to step back to see when they needed to change their directions. I admire them for being true to themselves and am touched at how they're so sincere with us, as their fans.
BTS truly is the best band and deserve the world. 💜 I hope they're able to walk on a flower path as they take this time to discover more of themselves as individuals. ARMY will still support them as they do and will also wait for their grp's return.

BTS/방탄소년단 has been entertaining the world for the past 9 years. I simply can not believe the pace these guys were on! so if these guys need to slow their stride and take a few years to focus on their personal projects. Why not! it’s well deserved. besides, if I was on the same pace, I’d burnt out long time ago and be stressed/depressed even before that.

Watched this alone and cried a whole river... Decided to watch it again with you because you make me feel understood and represented as army...I was ready for it but still I couldn't bare to see them crying...jimin broke me instantly and joon ended me for good. I just can't..
I'm beyond happy that they took this step but it hurts me to see the pain coming out of them as they feeling guilty for needing a break or not keeping up with our expectations, when every army expectation should exactly be to prioritize their health, happiness and well being no matter what, assuring them that we will be here every step of the way.

President NamJoon is crying when he says "rules of the world" which tells me how much the BS nonsense of other people's expectations, criticisms, and pressure has confined his personal spirit too long so he cannot take it anymore. Even a machine breaks down, and he is a human heart. RM is very hardworking, stoic, a true leader so he does not give up. A true Warrior who will lead the ARMY and die for the ARMY. It pains my heart deeply to see RM so affected that he could not keep the tears from flowing. He must have been suffering for such a long time. All of them put on a happy face because BTS always sayd, They exist to make ARMY Happy with Positive Energy. Now, we should repay BTS kindness. We should put on a HAPPY face and be happy for them. Let them be human beings, rather than a machine who has to work so hard and cannot be themselves. I wish them SUCCESS in their Pursuit of Happiness.

They’ve been doing this so long and it has to take a toll. Also people need time to find who they are as an individual and as Jin said they each have their own interests.
I rather see them make the responsible choice and take a break before they actually break. It’s a great example to show others that even if you are on top it’s not always what actually matters.

It's a break, you guys, a little time to breathe for them. Can you imagine living under the pressure and demands their entire last 9 years has been? When so many shows such strong sad reactions to this simple announcement (that group music and promotions, new music is on a short break, because they need it and are going to do solo stuff for a little bit) then I'm worried it will make Namjoon especially, but all of the guys, feel even more guilty than they already feel. Let's be glad they're investing in themselves, their future and longevity overall.

I wasn’t able to process a word they said after knowing they will all go solo. For me they have done enough for the past 9 years. Not many people can be as devoted as them. Personally I wouldn’t want more from them. Guess we will see all 7 of them on stage when the time is right and that’s about it.

I’m thankful that you got into the emotional highs and lows. I took me 4 tries to get through the whole original video. I’m a new ARMY and arrived at what they saw as their peak. I feel like I was late to a party that ended, but I also feel attached to BTS. Yesterday I felt gutted, until I fell asleep at 4a.m.

It sounds like they could be solo for a long time, to me. I’m a senior fan and didn’t attend LA or LV because I thought they were about to announce a tour. If i was him I'd have felt the same bcoz armys never really talk about his performance other than ddaeng or look here. Only his speeches, leadership and lyrics get talked about. What abt his phenomenal performance? Is this what made him feel that he's not good? Oh the camera doesn't even pan to him during the concerts so how are fans supposed to see his performance? Hope he gets the spotlight he deserves in this new journey. I've always felt he'd do so well especially in the west, not bcoz of his English but his skills. I don't think korea will ever appreciate him. But if he moves to other countries like US he'll be really successful even Wale said it. I agree with you! Jimin’s eyes i’ve been looking to him since PTD time. There’s sadness in it and his quiteness for the past 2 months (referring to the recent perf/contents) he is not his usual self. I thought he is just maturing, or got shy or being mysterious but he is really sad. The anxiety build up on him. I want to hug him, he is not my bias but im OT7 and i love them. I saw it coming right after I listened/ watched "Yet to Come"!! So I wasn't really shocked by the news, not even sad because I expected something worse.. (I didn't read the news from Twitter or anything, I only found out about it from watching the FESTA) anyway I'm very happy for them! They did not disband. Just having a time out. They will be back.
No they want to take time off from group comebacks because they are burnt out and its hard to come up with songs for the group right now, they want to explore solo projects and experience other things right now and also we may have to hear news of the e-word soon. But, also solo albums (not mixtapes) will be coming soon starting with JHope next month and he will be headlining at Lollapalooza festival in Chicago. They will still do a few things a group on occasions and RUN BTS episodes might be coming back in a smaller capacity, but they want to do things on their own for a while and then someday return if they have new music to bring as a group.
