@@madmousetales California doesn't have forests of walnut trees. The grove is manicured and planned. The trees are kept pruned so that the bushiness remains fairly low to the ground. I have an old walnut tree in my back yard that no longer gives walnuts. Walnut wood is very desirable for building furniture.
