I'd switch the locations of the dorms and the athletics. I think the dorms are undesirable as they are right next to the highway, where as by being on the other side they are in a quieter area and closer to the train station. Then you can link the T&F stadium closer to the highway which might ease traffic flow issues. Also the futsal club could be near the T&F stadium so you have sports in the same area. Edit to save I love this city and the US one. Really enjoyable. Collab with CPP one day?

I feel like there's way more red brick walls everywhere in England around gardens, parks etc, and you could make some cool features out of that if there's a brick wall network on the Workshop.
Buccaneers/pirates is probably the only British ish sports theme on that list. You could name the track and field stadium the Captain Track Sparrow stadium.
Instead of the earthquake monitors to connect electricity around the place, there is the UK Electrical Substation on the workshop which would fit in much better.
Loving this city build Biffa! Would love to see a large botanical park in the style of Kew Gardens. Think it would fit the area well! Keep it in the British style and call it Queue Gardens 😁

The art of stopping ripples or waves is lots of tiny water sources along the length of the river rather than one big one at the top. (According to BonBonB)

I noticed in this episode, that the roundabout to to 'NW' of Bampton Estates, South end of UBOW, still has the speed of the lower, middle section of the road set slower than the slip roads leading off of the motorway. It just seems that there is a lot of traffic using the upper part of the roundabout as a bypass and this traffic is blocking that junction. Thanx Biffa. Peace All

At 34:40 where there is a new connection from the track and field to the highway, have the left lane also straight on so that you have two lanes on the highway feeding to two downstream. Lane mathematics applied here too.

Uni dormitories could be turned so they're back to back with each other and mirror the squares of houses nearby. The campus feels a bit wonky at the moment, was also hoping for workshop skins so it wouldn't look so new and shiny. Also, is there a shopping district coming..? :D As always, walkable road overpasses - for Brampton to connect parts of the district - would be great.
I'd suggest turning the dorm building around so that they face the rest of the campus. It makes the most sense to me since that's where all the students are going to/coming from and, from my experience, that's the way most dorms are oriented on college campuses
about the flooding river - maybe make some floodplains parks where the river can flood mostly harmlessly when the water level rises a bit, and put your infrastructure at a higher elevation?
Loving the build! At 12:08, you could connect the two parks with a pedestreian underpass road! And also the same with the2 playgrounds at 6:55 by the Oblongabout (Actually both are by Oblongabouts)...

Episode #26: Biffa has breakdown due to unexplainable flooding! Don't miss this one! 🤣 Suggestion....Instead of having several separate Battersea Power Stations, how about joining them together to make 1 huge complex. You can use BOB to remove the parking spaces along the side so you don't get cars parking where there is ostensibly no parking. The British Rugby team is called The Lions....I think that would be most appropriate of those available for your team name. Once again.....in Traffic Manager, under the gameplay tab, you have an option to automatically add dedicated turning lanes. Saves a lot of clicking, and helpful if you forget to add them.

The university thing: you get academic works by either pressing the button to garuntee yourself one, or you can get a budget for people to work on it. Bigger the budget the more likely they’ll create something. However you don’t have to do both. It’s a lot of money

The parks you made in this one look great. One thing i noticed is that the dorms have cars in front of them (some floating as you mentioned), but there are no roads for them to get there and no car parks either...
Late to the party as ever, but I thought (on seeing the pirates theme) that Blightea Clippers might be a good name. It's tea-related, it's nautical, it's British... kinda, it's arguably amibiguous and it ALMOST makes sense of the assets in use.
Those plopable fancy paths should be rotated when you put one on either side of something. Also, dorms would be away from the highway and the sports would be closer. Better noise for students and better access to sports from the main road

Biffa, might be thinking ahead but I’d be so careful with the introduction of Metro! Train is obviously a lot more common but once there is a built up area that would have a circle line etc but lines could extend out to some suburbs (like the central line into parts of Essex!). Love the content, British city is class!!

You need to reduce the speed of the river Wold by either replacing it with standing water (raising sea level in editor), or by placing more water sources along the thing. The game tends to spawn water in bousts, which then cause the waves that cause flooding

Good episode Biffa and like the choice of university. I still like my original name for the university posted a few episodes ago - Blightea Institute For Further Academia (BIFFA). Team colours to be Biffa red or Tottenham blue. Also think a metro station outside the stadium may help with the event-day traffic volumes.
That one area where you added the 2 parks on each side of the road near the oblong about looks like 🫁 6:50 ..you could make that park area called lungs of the city
Kettling Vultures - eagle logo, Kettling is when you see a bunch of raptors (usually vultures, but sometimes other birds) circling around as they travel through an area. PLUS you've got your Kettling Districts in the city as well, and the obvious... a Kettle of tea. Blighty Mates of the Wold? - buccaneer logo Spartan Sprinters - Spartan logo Brewing Broncos - you figure out the logo for this one. 😉 Tea-Time Gators - it's not particularly punny, but it rolls off the tongue well enough European Swallows (or African Swallows) - chirper logo, but might cause some snickers amongst the city's populace. Falcon Steamers - chirper, OR eagle logo The Eagles - spelled "T'Eagles" (I don't know, I'm reaching here) It's a track and field team, not a sportsball team, so gotta think along the lines of sprints, hurdles, long jumps, dashes, and other track events. The bird names are just kind of for the high jumps I guess. Though there IS a bird actually called a swift, I don't think average Joe's would get the pun. EITHER WAY!!! There MUST be green and/or brown or tan in the team colors, for tea leaves and brewed tea. ;)
For the flooding issues: You could try raising an upstream part of the riverbed to create a choke point and lower the flow rate. Use MoveIt to raise one of the first 2 nodes of that network that you are using. No guarantee that it will also lower the water level peaks, but you'd assume it would. edit: Or you could lower the water level of that water source.
For sport events the road that the track is on make that a main road and unlock that square and give it a connection to the other highway and that main road you can put all the stadiums on.
Buccaneers is the only one that fits, isn't it? There's the Cornish Pirates down here. Also I agree that the side decoration on the main building needs flipping to mirror the other side. The university needs a snappier name, but should definitely be 'something' UniversiTEA.
Could you mirror the sets of flowery pathways next to the admin building and continue the pathways from the sides of the admin building to the study hall. Also, the park next to the train station in West Kettling is still called “East Kettling Park” it should be west. Finally, should there be a road bridge over the river (directly next to the station) connecting West Kettling with the southern highway connection, so less traffic has to go through the oblong-about?
The track and field stadium is close enough to the motorway for it to have a dedicated junction running to it. That would clear up all the traffic problems it generates.
Put the ticket price at 50$, and also the cheerleading at max as well, it will help bring in more people and make loads more money! Also, the Youth Training or whatever it's called at the bottom boosts winning quite a bit as well, but does get expensive the more stadiums you build.

Couple of things with the new uni, I really wish you'd turn the right hand path/park (as you're looking at the university) by 180 degrees for that nice mirrored look. And whilst it might not look exactly the part, you could always just change the name of the American football stadium or Basketball arena to something more British! ;-P
Hi Biffa. Another great video. Question. At the junction of the round about and the industrial area, (32.47), could a timed traffic light onto the roundabout (for that 1 junction only) allow more traffic out? Does a timed light work on a roundabout? Keep cracking fella. Love the channel.
The river issue, can you turn down the amount of water it is putting out? It seems like the output isn’t consistent, if you add that to the heaves, you will get spillage.
Try using the flooding river for water for your citizens. By pumping out the water from the river, this will lower its level. The other thing to try is decreasing the flow rate on the water source it maybe up just a bit too high causing the flooding.
As a fellow UK citizen. It would only be right for the team to have a Lion mascot. Considering we have the 3 lions flag. As such clearly the name for the team should be the Tea Lions

That curved road in Bampton Heights, instead of housing the same houses, you missed the opportunity to make a real Bampton Crescent style of street. Would be neat. And what we also need is a Battersea Power Station Station metro station... And you'll need transportation from the university to the train station, especially with the stadium.

Water sources try to maintain their set water level by either adding or draining water.

They are symmetrical. Well they have rotational and translational symmetry but not reflectional symmetry (line or mirror symmetry). ;)

You need to reduce the speed of the river Wold by either replacing it with standing water (raising sea level in editor), or by placing more water sources along the thing. The game tends to spawn water in bousts, which then cause the waves that cause flooding

Good episode Biffa and like the choice of university. I still like my original name for the university posted a few episodes ago - Blightea Institute For Further Academia (BIFFA). Team colours to be Biffa red or Tottenham blue. Also think a metro station outside the stadium may help with the event-day traffic volumes.
That one area where you added the 2 parks on each side of the road near the oblong about looks like 🫁 6:50 ..you could make that park area called lungs of the city

Kettling Vultures - eagle logo, Kettling is when you see a bunch of raptors (usually vultures, but sometimes other birds) circling around as they travel through an area. PLUS you've got your Kettling Districts in the city as well, and the obvious... a Kettle of tea.
Blighty Mates of the Wold? - buccaneer logo
Spartan Sprinters - Spartan logo
Brewing Broncos - you figure out the logo for this one. 😉
Tea-Time Gators - it's not particularly punny, but it rolls off the tongue well enough
European Swallows (or African Swallows) - chirper logo, but might cause some snickers amongst the city's populace.
Falcon Steamers - chirper, OR eagle logo
The Eagles - spelled "T'Eagles" (I don't know, I'm reaching here)
It's a track and field team, not a sportsball team, so gotta think along the lines of sprints, hurdles, long jumps, dashes, and other track events. The bird names are just kind of for the high jumps I guess. Though there IS a bird actually called a swift, I don't think average Joe's would get the pun.
EITHER WAY!!! There MUST be green and/or brown or tan in the team colors, for tea leaves and brewed tea. ;)
For the flooding issues: You could try raising an upstream part of the riverbed to create a choke point and lower the flow rate. Use MoveIt to raise one of the first 2 nodes of that network that you are using. No guarantee that it will also lower the water level peaks, but you'd assume it would.
edit: Or you could lower the water level of that water source.
For the sports team, use the eagles logo and call them Teagles!
For sport events the road that the track is on make that a main road and unlock that square and give it a connection to the other highway and that main road you can put all the stadiums on.
I think it would look better in the main building, if the parks on the sides look symmetrical. Awesome video btw! Love your content!
Biffa, you have so much commercial demand. You should do an out of town shopping centre. Maybe even an outlet village.
Buccaneers is the only one that fits, isn't it? There's the Cornish Pirates down here. Also I agree that the side decoration on the main building needs flipping to mirror the other side. The university needs a snappier name, but should definitely be 'something' UniversiTEA.
The double parks at 7mins, do they actually have pedestrian access? (I only ask as I don't see any pedestrian crossings on the surrounding roads....)

Could you mirror the sets of flowery pathways next to the admin building and continue the pathways from the sides of the admin building to the study hall. Also, the park next to the train station in West Kettling is still called “East Kettling Park” it should be west. Finally, should there be a road bridge over the river (directly next to the station) connecting West Kettling with the southern highway connection, so less traffic has to go through the oblong-about?
The track and field stadium is close enough to the motorway for it to have a dedicated junction running to it. That would clear up all the traffic problems it generates.
You have flying cars because there needs to be roads leading to the dorms. hence the parking spaces.
You must be a busy man with all the cities you are building...... Amazing stuff eagerly awaiting the next episode.
Put the ticket price at 50$, and also the cheerleading at max as well, it will help bring in more people and make loads more money! Also, the Youth Training or whatever it's called at the bottom boosts winning quite a bit as well, but does get expensive the more stadiums you build.

Hey Biffa, loving this build so far! Couple of things with the new uni, I really wish you'd turn the right hand path/park (as you're looking at the university) by 180 degrees for that nice mirrored look. And whilst it might not look exactly the part, you could always just change the name of the American football stadium or Basketball arena to something more British! ;-P
Hi Biffa. Another great video. Question. At the junction of the round about and the industrial area, (32.47), could a timed traffic light onto the roundabout (for that 1 junction only) allow more traffic out? Does a timed light work on a roundabout? Keep cracking fella. Love the channel.
The river issue, can you turn down the amount of water it is putting out? It seems like the output isn’t consistent, if you add that to the heaves, you will get spillage.

Try using the flooding river for water for your citizens. By pumping out the water from the river, this will lower its level. The other thing to try is decreasing the flow rate on the water source it maybe up just a bit too high causing the flooding.

The flooding might be annoying, but it's very realistic, though. A river that high would flood quite often with excess water whenever it's raining.
As your university is the UBOW, "The Blighty Bowmen" could be a good name for the varsity sports team! Probably with the Spartans Picture

That curved road in Bampton Heights, instead of housing the same houses, you missed the opportunity to make a real Bampton Crescent style of street. Would be neat.
And what we also need is a Battersea Power Station Station metro station... And you'll need transportation from the university to the train station, especially with the stadium.
Possibly something like “The Blighty Buccaneers” or “The Blighty Broncos” would fit nicely?

I am really enjoying this build Mr. Biffa, but I have a question for you. Since its been several episodes now since the renaming of West and East Ketteling. The East Kettling Park is in West Kettling, shouldn't there be a West Kettling Park in East Kettling? 1:42 for the map.
