I am working on with Hydraulic Pull Machine 5 000 000 (I am going to modify Smahinator 5 000 000 to do that). So if you have good ideas what to pull apart please let us know! The frame is good for around 40 tons and I think I should be able to build machine close to that capacity quite easily.
For the coconut please try to crush it standing. Because the way you positioned it there is an invisible line all over the middle circonference, it is a trick for quick opening of coconut. So standing up is much more resistant to weight pressure

Great spatter video, just a shame we didn't get to see the messy aftermath around the press at the end, like you guys, I've never seen a yellow watermelon before either.
We still have couple of those :D We have tried with the press, Smashinator 5 000 000 and .308 rifle and they are still fine. I think I am going to try with .338 next but I am afraid that I would need armor piercing bullets that are illegal to have in Finland

Hi, I have an idea for your channel. If you can control the force applied with the press, you could test the cutting capability of knives. I bet a lot of viewers would like to know what the sharpest knives available are.
Yeah. Basically all other languages call it ananas. But English-speakers insist on calling them an old word for pine-cones... which is just wrong :) i.stack.imgur.com/0wtlv.jpg
Anders Öhlund Problem is we've been saying "Pineapple" for so long and everyone only knows them as "Pineapples", so it's too late to change it. Also, in my opinion, "Ananas" sounds to much like slang for "Banana".
Blythe actually from old Latin, pomum for apple (pome is still the botanical class for apples and pears that have pips in those fibrous bits on a core) and granatum for seeds. An apple of seeds, about right. The Granada or Grenade thing is a bit of a mashed up spelling. I think granita for a sorbet that is gritty like it has pips in it comes from the same root.
You can turn your hydraulic press into a traction test machine. Place the force sensor at the top of the press piston and place a crossbar with the object to be tested attached to the bar and at the top of the press. This would allow testing of many products, but of tensile strength rather than compression.
That was awesome! So much juice to clean up wow. At some point there will have to be a compilation video of all the clay creatures Anni has made that have been dealt with.
I need to say I'm happy to see yellow watermelon. I discovered it about two years ago and I think it's much more tastier. Maybe it's just my imagination.
Should have put the coconut upright. Keep it in place by placing it in a metal cup or bowl that closely resembles the shape of the bottom ( or top ) of coconut so it does not fall over when crushing starts. Just suggestion. That's all. Love you guys. Your amazing!!!!!
"Pomegranate" is from "pomme-grenade", meaning apple from Grenada. The explosive device, the grenade, actually takes its name from the fruit. So the Finnish meaning ties in nicely.
(If you are talking about the US or Canada, not sure about other countries) It is mostly just regular stone. They provide a base for the wooden, or sometimes concrete, ties that the tracks actually sit on top of. The ties take a lot of the weight, the stone is just there for a base, like I mentioned before, and leveling purposes mostly. There are also a lot of stones underneath each tie. So the weight is quite distributed on the stones.
Thanks for the fun video! It would have looked great slow-mo! Maybe do a slow motion follow up? For the Pullinator 5 000 000 you could try pulling apart stretchy things to see if you can break them. Rubber bands, balloons (blown up and not blown up). Some that don't stretch but could be good, paper money as well as coins, a smart phone, something welded to see if the weld breaks, marble or other rocks and crystals.
If you collected all the fruit, minus the seeds, in a nice tray, you could have had a lovely fruit salad. Yum! 😊 If you ever get to test some more exotic fruits in a later video, try a mango - their seeds can be really hard. Oh, and if anyone tells you to press a durian fruit, they are trying to make your workshop smell absolutely terrible - their smell is absolutely awful, though some of my friends like the taste.
