Sum of Best is the best I can ever do according to splits (all gold times added up). Best possible time is the best I can do in that run specifically given what I have already done in the run (current run + all remaining gold times). So if I lost 1 minute of time compared to my sum of best at a point in the run, then the best possible time will show that very number. SOB: 56. BPT: 57
It's a mod. It doesn't impact the speedrun at all, since the speedrun uses in-game time, and the logos don't count towards that. It's just a quality of life thing so each quit out takes less real time.
It skips the animation. That second or so each and every time adds up. Since the time is based on in-game time, going through a load screen takes 0 time (well, a few frames to gain control of your character again) vs doing the full animation of opening the door or the grace lighting.

They updated the game (a few patches back I think) and you can fight a new NPC called Magnus in the Altus Plateau.
