DZ W75TFR I use a 40l Gregory bag for the hike in and then just a regular day pack for the summit/hike up. Generally a do this combination on a multi day approach.
I have yet to find a selfie stick that's tight enough to hold a camera securely. Notice you don't list a suggestion. Could you recommend one? Those 3 fourteeners were my favorites due to their remoteness.
Yeah sorry, they don't make the one I use anymore. Its from The Alaska Life but it appears you can't buy them. The key is to find one that has a ton of areas to tighten, especially near the camera itself. Little Bear and Longs - Was saving LB to do the traverse which has a short window and requires perfect weather. Longs for last so my wife can meet me up in Estes to celebrate after.
Gotcha, I just recently found your videos and absolutely love them. I’m from Texas but vacation in Colorado with my fam every year. I’ve done 14. Most recent of which were the Crestones. Longs was like my 3rd or so. Wetterhorn was near the beginning too. Found your stuff while looking into the Wilson group. It’s next on my dad and I’s to do list. That and Chicago Basin. Just trying to figure out what all we can do with our skill level and all. I really wanna try the El Diente traverse. I feel like it would be a good next step after doing the Crestones this last summer (did them individually, not the traverse).
Spelling of the mountains is wrong in the title. Should be Eolus (like you were trying to pronounce), not Eulos. North Eolus isn't typically counted as a separate 14er, but it still looked like fun. Regardless, thanks for posting video of these peaks that I'll probably never get to climb. They're just so remote, and you have to get so lucky with the weather/timing. I used to aspire to hike all the 14ers in the state, but I'm well past the point of that being possible.
great videos but, please start recommending not taking your dog in the alpine period. Most of the people you see outdoors are nature tourist or experienced seasonal hikers that just lack commonsense.
I took the ridge this weekend. Totally goes, doesn’t cliff out, stays at class 4.
Consider a trip report for Ice Mountain ( central CO)
All 3 of the apostles ,from the south up the shoestring glacier
The San Juans are the largest area over 10,000 ft in the country.
The grenadiers north of this is even more spectacular ,all very high 13ers
Wide angle lense really distorts distance
Curious to which pack you used to summit and what you took up with you?
Thanks for your help, very helpful video!

Interesting! I’m too old and out of shape to summit this so it was fun to watch. Btw, it’s pronounced EE-oh-lus.
Nice video did find it helpful. Appreciate your commentary and recommendations on the potentials for dogs on mountains. Thank you for the video.
It's pronounced areolas.
AE O LUS

This is magnificent. I am so inspired.
I believe it's pronounced E-Oh'-lus, with the accent on Oh.
Spelled ae lo us
The wind
If this was 56, what 2 do you have left? You’ve done all the hard ones right?

Why aren't there any down-climb videos? oh wait... there wouldn't be any video.

Spelling is actually correct
53 Official and 5 unofficial based on the rules so if your going for the 58 then you need it.
I'm certain it's pronounced eo-h-L-us. With the accent on the L. or something.
