I was lucky. Sometime around 2003 or 4. I wasnt really into what the radio played of LP and had no real interest in seeing them. My uncle offered to buy my ticket if id take my nephew to the show. I was blown away by how good they were live that i became a fan for life. Ive enjoyed the ride and im truly heartbroken that it went that way. Thanks to LP and Chester for helping me cope with it for all these years.

One of my favourite versions of Burn It Down. I love the addition of Kiiara's vocals. Mike's rap verse is incredible that way. But one thing I haven't seen praised here is Brad's guitar part. That is literally the most beautiful guitar part I've heard of BID. I'd love to hear an isolated version, just him, playing it that way.
@Above The Clouds She's harmonising. It's not meant to be powerful like Chester's vocal. She's kinda highlighting what he does. Lacing the melody and his vocal. I think it's amazing. But if you haven't got anything nice to say then don't say anything at all
I agree, it's one of the best versions. Do you think the timing is a bit off though? It sounded like the vocals were speeding up every now and then and Mike and Brad had to match their tempo on piano and guitar.
@@BWpepperr It's an acoustic version of a rock song. Chester is use to singing it as a rock song which is typically faster. It's likely his muscle memory got him to sing a little faster.
@@MattGD2001 Yes, I understand. I think the best unplugged version is one they did in the train station. That was really good - if they had female vocals to layer with Chester's too, it would have been amazing.

Every time I hear this version of the song I cried so much since Chester passed away. Damn it, I miss him so much. Beautiful acoustic. I really love the harmony between Chester and Kiiara voices. And Mike sang his rap part so passionate.

I suffer from major depression disorder and severe anxiety, I relate to these songs and find comfort in them. I wish I had the chance to meet him and share my feelings with him. He is and always will be an angel.

The addition of Kiiara in this is so fitting. I thing she could have been even more involved in it. These minimal and simpler versions of Linkin Park are just mind blowing. You can't help yourself but thing what they could have been and how they might have involved as a group if Chester was still around. I mean this group of 4 could have taken so many songs (theirs or covers) to another level.
This is helping me in a way I cannot possibly explain with words, holy shit. There are, quite literally, no words.
I would have loved to at least seen them perform together, but this I can settle for.

You know what, you're right. I remember being thrown off by the new music also and wondered what they were doing and why the style was so different. It all makes more sense now though doesnt it? Sometimes things arent appreciated until they are gone unfortunately.

As a grown adult I should not being crying as I listen too the one voice that meant the most too me as I was growing up and yet...here I am. :/ Chester was lost almost the same time I lost my older brother too a heroin overdose and it's a memory I'll never be rid of. RIP Chester, and REST Brian.
