I love how you are still incorporating learning in Ziya's schedule, but also leaving a good amount of playtime (indoor and outdoor) for her! It's really easy to feel like you have nothing to do and lose track of time during all of this, so I love that you aren't letting it get the best of you and using your time to have fun and be productive!
You’re so intentional and connected in your parenting. Ziya is so blessed to have you to pour into her and build her confidence. Love watching y’all do creative learning and interactive activities. ❤️❤️
Raven, I am a teacher and I want to tell you that you are doing a fantastic job! Children need routine and without it, they become stressed. Your schedule closely parallels what teachers set for their classroom. You can also do interactive activities like videos with learning songs.Kids love these. I now teach 18 and older students but you are doing excellent. You are a great mother!
As a therapist who works with kids golden rule is ADULTS DONT ARGUE WITH KIDS. You'll just get into a power struggle and will end up getting frustrated and will feed into the negative behavior.
I dont have kids.but I've had to work close with children and I've had to pray to all saints to not lose my cool.ive had moments where I had to raise my voice and I feel bad but nothing else was working.what would you recommend as a therapist?
Lex Burgos I’m no Therapists but my sister who works in a daycare(it is a part time job as she works on getting a degree in education ) but what she does is she ask the kid to do whatever she is asking them to do. She first says it in a calm voice, if they don’t listen she says ,”I said to do this please do” if the kid still doesn’t listen she brings them to the naughty corner.(This is when the struggle begins) She brings them to the naughty corner and says,”I said to do this and you didn’t listen” (depending on the age of the child is how long the sit in the naughty corner for example if the child is 4 years old 4 minutes ). If the child doesn’t agree to sit she grabs them and says,” you need to sit” Every time they get up you add more minutes. The second time they get up she says I said sit with a firm voice. If they get up she continues to sit the child down on the third attempt and the attempts after that she says nothing. This allows the child to know that they will have consequences for not listening and they will agree to these consequences . Once their time is done. She walks up to them and says “I put you in timeout because you didn’t listen. Have you learned from your mistakes “ Then the child gives her a hug and says “sorry” . Then the child does what they were told to do. It takes a lot of effort but it allows the child to know they won’t get away with disrespecting adults or not listening. It also can help children from disbehaving so much.
You should mix up the alphabet cards. Sometimes they just end up saying the letters in order. (Even though we all know Ziya's a genius who knows her letters and sounds)
This is exactly how I picture being a mother. By nature I am a organize freak. So I would totally be the calm, patient , organized mom. And teach my child to also engage in chores fit for their ages. Raven you are an amazing mom. After watching your mourning routines with Ziya gave me baby fever🥰

Raven is absolutely right about ignoring tantrums and praising desired positive actions. And she is doing an amazing job especially with creating a list/routine that both her and Ziya can see and refer to. As a therapist we want to decrease their behaviors and to do so we take note of these: Antecedent: what happened before Behavior: tantrum, meltdown or aggressive behavior Consequence: what happens after The key is to figure out what triggers the behavior and by Using strategies like priming, first and then etc... you will avoid the behavior before it even happens. Remember this is a change in the little ones routine as well so it’s an adjustment to us all.

I'm 22, and never quite had an appreciation for all you do with Ziya until recently. I work with 3 six year olds whose parents need help managing the online schooling that has come about with this pandemic. I basically come in and try to maintain some structure and keep school as enjoyable as possible for the kiddies, while also allowing the parents (who are working from home as a result of COVID as well) to work and have as productive a day as possible. After spending 5 days a week with small children, I really understand the thorough job you have done with raising Ziya. You do SO MUCH and are so good at it. What a great mom and person you are. I really admire all you've accomplished, and hope to take some pages from your book as I grow into my adult life and start my family- I'm not looking to have kids yet, but when I do, I pray I am able to manage it and provide all the love and care that you have with your daughter. All the best Raven! and good luck with this pandemic.
This video inspired me! 4 months later, I have finally implemented it with my kiddo. We even watch your old homeschooling video of Ziya counting out blocks as a reward!
I love how raven sits at that tiny table with ziya. it just warms my heart because her legs are taller than the table when she sits down but she will still sit at that table with her.
I love how you explained to Ziya what is going on in the world without scaring her. I’ve been beating around the bush a little with my 4 yr. old but the “waiting for them to clean it up” is genius 🙌 I’m using that lol 💕
I love how you explained to Ziya about "the germs". I told my son who is autistic that some people are not feeling good and when they get better we can go back to our regular routine. He is 22, but has a mental age of 9/10.
Our son is autistic 19 year old....been keeping him on schedule but it is challenging because we want him to do it himself also same with our 17 year old daughter who is not on the spectrum
I love how you’re continuing Spanish with Ziya! I am 22 and have been thinking about having a child within 4 years and really like how you parents, you definitely will be my inspiration 😊
Just so you know you dont have to be a specific age to be a "Good mom" You can be an amazing mom at any age. And with this Pandemic I hope it's not the end of the world. Sadly it has taken lives and is ruining lives. But I just wanted to let you know that I'm 22 as well but I am a Mom I don't let my age affect me being a Good mother.

I'm very familiar with special playtime. I have two grandchildren with Autism that I have custody of. It's not just for children that have a diagnosis or an extreme case. I totally agree with you that there is no wrong time to talk to a therapist and get tips and suggestions to better help deal with problems and issues BEFORE they become major. You are a magnificent Mom! What a great example you are setting. You're a lot like me in that I seek out every opportunity for my Grands to be the best THEM they can be. Playing with children or their level helps to remind us as parents who we're dealing with; Little people! Not adults. It helps to lower the expectation and our patience becomes greater and so does our grace.
I don’t know how people could give you a thumbs down you are a single mom who dose a great job and you have inspired me to go do what I love and be my self

You’re the only video I’ve seen that actually shows a schedule. Which I’ve been looking for. I need to know how to plan me and my toddlers day. Love this video.
I would LOVE to see a parenting video with the tips you're learning. I'm a single mom of 3 kids (ages 8, 6, 5) and I'm struggling. they are very good kids (obviously they still have tantrums) but I'm going through some internal stuff and its affecting my parenting. I still do all the things they need, food, bathing, hugs, kisses, etc. but I'm just not putting in my all. My patience is very short and then I feel guilty which makes my feelings worse. I want to be the best mom I can be.
Stephanie Martin my mom was just like you and i suffer from emotional and mental issues till this day because she kind of mentally checked out once my younger brother was born just the necessities like food and clothes was all she did for a while i would say maybe try to get a break pay someone to watch them or get counseling it would really help your kids in the long run!
I cannot thank you enough for this video and your other videos are amazing! My eight year old daughter exposed me to you and I watch when I get a chance. You are so detail oriented, organized, healthy, you two are beautiful ❤️ you inspire, encourage, educate, you actually helped me! I thought I knew something about living but you opened my eyes to a new level of polish with your videos! You Rock 👏
Raven! First yes you are doing amazing!! Second, I’m a behavior therapist and you hit the nail on the head..the information all the parents need!!! Yes yes yes love it. And you are following the procedure flawlessly ❤️
RAVVVEEEENNNN! You just saved me. I'm soo happy to see an "I been working from home" working mom quarantine schedule because I've been on the STRUGGLE bus! Trying to get work done and keep the kids occupied!
Honestly though props to you for being a single mum, my mum was single all my life and your doing amazing I have so much respect for you your doing a amazing job And since I had a single mum I depended on my brothers to play with me and they did, my mum would also try to make time for me single mums are heroes. They deserve so much love. I honestly am so proud of you. This makes me always tear up. ❤️ stay safe you two 👏❤️ Also “Jack Jack Jack PUMPKIN”
You're such a good mom, Raven! I have a 3 year and getting a structured schedule has been tough since entering the new life of working from home. This is some encouragement! Will definitely be stealing some ideas. Thanks for sharing! 😊
I would say the best thing to do at your outdoor time is to go for a walk. Even if it is just around the block and do some form of I spy game with her would be fun to do
This video actually helped me believe it or not so thanks 😊 I’m a solo mom of 3 boys 7 years and 2 year old twins. I been feeling like I’m goin to lose it with keeping up with schooling them cleaning cooking all that. I feel like I can try a different approach and see how that works ❤️
The fact that I'm literally 12, and have been watching you for a long time- and the fact that Ziya is learning Spanish at that age is good, I say that because I dont even know some of that stuff- what I'm basically trying to say is that you inspire me to make my mom proud like Ziya is doing to you- 💕💕💕 Love you From-your fan💕 Edit: I had to fix my spelling 😂 that's why I had to edit it-
Raven is really beautiful with a pretty little princess. Raven is working really hard to keep her daughter safe and doing her job. So She Deserves To Be With Someone Really Special and Start A Beautiful Family Together
I love seeing how you implement routines and I appreciate the steps and tips you’re learning from professionals I look forward to using these kinds of tips and etc when I become a parent
That was pretty good about the tantrum part of this video. I’m a behavior analyst in Houston. You used a lot of good terminology in general! Perfect generalization of the way you explained it in layman’s terms. 👍🏼 tantrums are mainly for the use of the attention function. The hard part is doing this in public! When people are judging you and criticizing you AND giving you advice as well, which half the time is completely wrong advice. Lol your doing a great job. I have a 3 year old and as a behavior analyst, I fail plenty of times! Parenting isn’t perfect. But I have the right idea and I keep trying every day!
I love how you don’t yell at her when she gets something wrong, you correct her in a good way. Man I wish my mom and dad did that 😂😂😂 I would guess things too

Children like structure . as long as children have some type of routine they’ll be fine.Your doing great sweetie*in my Kris Jenner voice*

My son John Michael is also 3 and we are having the same issue with him always wanting to eat snacks and not real food.
Evita’s Light same with my 3 year old. And now she’s inspired my 19 month old, who was previously a phenomenal eater, to do the same 🙄
RAVVVEEEENNNN! You just saved me. I'm soo happy to see an "I been working from home" working mom quarantine schedule because I've been on the STRUGGLE bus! Trying to get work done and keep the kids occupied!
“Look at my baby sleeping with me” Bruh that was so clear 😩😩😩😩
terricaaa turnerrr don't even go there
Queen RNT Official ? All she said was Ziya said something really clear

Honestly though props to you for being a single mum, my mum was single all my life and your doing amazing I have so much respect for you your doing a amazing job

You're such a good mom, Raven! I have a 3 year and getting a structured schedule has been tough since entering the new life of working from home. This is some encouragement! Will definitely be stealing some ideas. Thanks for sharing! 😊

You are such a good mom and a queen. You are so inspiring and you make the whole day fun.I hope I can be a good mom like you when im older.

The fact that I'm literally 12, and have been watching you for a long time- and the fact that Ziya is learning Spanish at that age is good, I say that because I dont even know some of that stuff- what I'm basically trying to say is that you inspire me to make my mom proud like Ziya is doing to you- 💕💕💕
Love you
From-your fan💕
Edit: I had to fix my spelling 😂 that's why I had to edit it-
I've never met you and am not a "OG" but I'm so proud of you and trying to remember these things for when I have children.
Raven is really beautiful with a pretty little princess. Raven is working really hard to keep her daughter safe and doing her job. So She Deserves To Be With Someone Really Special and Start A Beautiful Family Together

LEIHA SAVAGE girl yes, I’m sick of my teenager lol
BEAUTY & BEYOND lmao 😆
I love how she has her do some chores MOM OF THE YEAR
you are such an amazing mom. i love the schedule you put in place for her. You are life goals girlie!
Why am I sitting over here like “BOUJIEEE!!” Everytime he gets into something like he can hear me😂🤦🏾♀️
