totally agree with all the points in your review. nice comparison with rtx 4070 as the rival to this 7800xt is rtx 4070. what i like the most is that it runs quietly at full load (no audible fan noise and no coil whine) and has slightly better performance at 3-5% than strix rtx3080, and the build quality is premium for the midrange price. main downside of radeon gpu is its weak (seriously) ray tracing performance (i assume half of equivalent nvidia graphic card- that means that you need some upscaling for it to work, otherwise at native 4k resolution, will get like 10 to 20ish fps) and game that support fsr is still kind of hard to find. the high power draw 273 watt , or 50 watts more than reference card can be easily remedied using amd adrenaline software, by downclocking the gpu processor speed by a 100 to 200mhz and set the power limit to 93% , i manage to get mine to draw 200watts at full load and manage to keep the timespy standard gpu score at18600 plus.
i got this model graphics card. the only driver issue i had with it was when trying to play apex legends on directx 12 (beta). But the default dx11 worked fine no issues. That was my only experience so far about bugs for the card. Maybe there are other instability/bugs but i haven't personally encountered them. RTX 4080 is good, but compare the pricing between that and the RX 7800 XT. the amd is the better deal for 1440p gaming. Unless you are very adamant about DLSS, ray tracing and the better power consumption, but then you'd have to be ok paying at the higher prices for that RTX 4080.
Quick question I plan to build pc but motherbord I plan to use doesnt have argb 5v but case coms with controler so can I put argb cabble in controler on back?
Can the case argb controller be operated by a remote controller or some switch? If yes, then by right you’d be able to connect the gpu to the case controller and control the lightings using the case rgb switch/controller. Otherwise, it is possible that it is just a hub. To be sure, I suggest you disclose the board and case. Thanks.
Hello ask ko lang if nakaka degrade ba ng gpu pag tumama sa 90c yung hotspot temp for a few seconds, I have the same gpu as in this video Rx 7800 XT NITRO +, medyo kabado ako since noob pako sa pc stuff
I checked mine and my average is similar to HU's. If you used presets, then FSR is by default enabled in this game. I turned it off as it breaks benchmark data.
Seems like minimal upgrade for the cost that you'd be spending and imho not worth it. But I'd go for GPU for games first, tackle the CPU bottleneck, if any, later.
Question for a lot of you, is the nitro+ worth it over the xfx qick one? Both 7800XT and prices are 4,000 pesos difference. But I really like how the nitro+ looks like so features and temps wise, is it worth it?
Depends po on the parameters that you are looking at. If fps alone, not worth it. They'd perform within AMD's spec of 7800 XT (+/- 5%). The current win of Sapphire's Nitro+ is its perceived good and consistent quality, which Nitro+ fans would always pay a premium as it is a "safe" order from them.

Yeah, I agree that I did not include the perspective of newer titles. Though if your game is alan wake 2, even 78xt will also not cut it sir. 79xtx minimum for 120fps high, 1080. very very good fan one exiting superrr....
Mine 7800 xt touches 65-70 degree during gaming will increasing the fan speed can lower th temps, should i do this?
65-70 is acceptable. But yes, if you have fan speed to spare, then just increase the fan speed to lower temps.
It's normal temps... Why bother?
how to adjust the fan speed like you did?
