  • Similar to Peabody and Foxtrot, Andy & Mia taught a dance done at the Savoy Ballroom in a counter clockwise line of dance with a fundamental rhythm of quick quick slow (1-L 2-R 3-L (hold 4) 5-R 6-L 7-R (hold 8)). As a default position, follow is stepping backwards, lead is stepping forward. Lead can change position starting on 1 by stepping past the follow on their right (lead's left) with the lead's right foot rotating the partnership clockwise joining together in the new direction on 3 with a step hold. Lead can then switch again by asking follow to pass on their left (while clearing space) on 1 2 with most of the movement happening on 3. Another idea is going to promenade position (good transition on 7). Another idea is to lead a step step turn for follow and join on the slow. Another idea is to do an under rotated swingout with the quick quick slow footwork.
