Dude......if I'd been at this show, I would've gone so ape shit insane that I probably would've cleared the floor. ESPECIALLY if I was standing only a few feet away from them in the front row!! So jealous of the people who were there for this...
This looks like the real early days, Jack playing the Crestwood, his short hair, White T-Shirt, Meg's Ponytails and peppermint kit. If not for the fact they're playing Icky thump, I would think this was in the 90s
Everyone's a critic. Like shit even audience member get criticized. Shit man they were all watching and enjoying what they were seeing! If I was that close to jack white I wouldn't spend one second looking away from him and his playing. Obviously they where listening. That was a great applause at the end. The world would be a better place if not everyone was a critic
Led Zeppelin appeared on Denmark TV in '68. Live studio audience sat on the floor in front of them and politely golf clapped at the end of each song. Did it detract from the legendary performance? No. It didn't. Did this audience? No. They were lucky enough to see one of the last live WS performances before Meg left for good. I would have been the same - would have soaked up every note of a once in a lifetime experience.
Btw I'm Canadian and the venue had nothing to do with it. We canadiens know how to rock!! I went to iron maiden in Ottawa last year, and I almost died by getting trampled!! I'm 6'2 300 lbs. I'm no small lad, people were surfing moshing, friggen going nuts. These kids are just confused.
@PepitoneConQueso I think you can be totally into something without going crazy or screaming all the time...Unless you're American :) .....this was in Canada I think, so more reserved people "which is nice" :)
Does the crowd not "freaking out" make you ill? Are you a Star Slave? When I go to a show, I like to watch the band and I find that difficult if I'm having a fit. You don't feel it any more than me just because you go spectacularly ap3$hit. "Oh my God, It's the Whites and I'm this close oh dear he spit on me I think I have to pee!" Jack's awesome in the truest sense, I love the stripes, and I love that the audience is on the natch, yo. What a cool scene. I will shut up and play now.
It's like the kids didn't know if it was ok to rock out or not. Guess it's just not the same with out a barricade, 50000 people, and a drunk security guard named Biff. Saturday was rough! Lol
Wow, look at those Canucks go wild! Those girls in the front! Couple of them were tapping along with the drums! Dang, look out er'body! It's getting crazy up in here!
Pour wife begging Jolene not to take her man. WoW this was from my childhood ... Jack just sang it like it was written ... Begging the girl not to take her man. Original was a female singer. Give him credit for respecting the song ..
come one...this audience is standing the with gaping maws...just like the paris folks where for Zeppelin back in 1969......This music is so raw most of the folks watching it don't even know what they are listening to!
All the nasty comments about Canadians from HUGE Jack White fans who obviously do not know he is part Canadian. I'm sure he would really have appreciated someone screaming in his face while he was trying to perform about as much as he would have appreciated his fans looking like assholes for destroying the place!
the crowd should have been more excited how often do you get to stand 5 ft from Jack White while hes shredding I mean really, if I was there I would have been bouncing off the walls...most of the people are standing there with there hands in their pockets...and the rest are gently nodding their heads. Just a pathetic audience...GET INTO IT FOR CHRISTS SAKES...Ive seen more excitement watching a fucking cover band at a bar
@PepitoneConQueso yea, not a good representation of Canadian enthusiasm. me for one( canadian i am) would have been like you, boucing the fuck everywhere
OH MY GOD! There just like Standing there!!! I would be trying to start a Mosh Pit if I was there XD They're like nodding there heads like idiots while Jack is shreddin'.. -.- Does anyone know where this took place? If so...Remind me never to go there -.-
EVERY TIME, Jack plays in a small spot, all the girls stand RIGHT in FRONT of him! They just love his big arms! ;) nice plain though, I've played in smaller spots!
does anyone remember the episode of the simpsons where they went to hullaballozza and the crowd was all sapped and crappy?? Thats what this crowd looks like
back in the day, from what i've heard, throwing yourself around at a concert was considered flattering for bands. most people are too concerned with recording to actually enjoy a concert anymore.
i can see where your coming from, but just bc theyre not going crazy doesnt mean theyre not excited. Too many (if not all) crowds get ripped on on youtube. Dont be too hard on them
Dude......if I'd been at this show, I would've gone so ape shit insane that I probably would've cleared the floor. ESPECIALLY if I was standing only a few feet away from them in the front row!! So jealous of the people who were there for this...
Poor kids don't seem to realize you -can- *_must_* dance to the blues. :(
Is it just me or was he just about to tear right into the solo but then changed his mind last second?
This looks like the real early days, Jack playing the Crestwood, his short hair, White T-Shirt, Meg's Ponytails and peppermint kit. If not for the fact they're playing Icky thump, I would think this was in the 90s
No. Someone has an iPhone 3 in the crowd
+Shane Fell this song didn't come out till 2007
+Christian E I'm well aware of that. I said in my original comment that that was the main thing that was different.
+Shane Fell Yeah, the look is like the old times... strange.
maybe they were trying to recapture something?

And the award for most awkward audience goes to:
It's like the kids didn't know if it was ok to rock out or not. Guess it's just not the same with out a barricade, 50000 people, and a drunk security guard named Biff. Saturday was rough! Lol

I've never really realized how fucking tall Jack was. I mean, look at him, he's like fucking 7 feet. And, man, those legs.
Incrediguy He 6'2 but he does look 7ft in this video.
hey, for all the people who's saying jack doesn't use a bigmuff...look what's on his pedal board!
gotta say, thats a lot of rock for not much square footage
0:45 i can´t believe that the girl in the audience took out her fucking phone for checking time or something....
i mean there are the white stripes!

@PepitoneConQueso The crowd seems to be a hipster-esque crowd. Those people are never into the music, just into what's cool.
the crowd should have been more excited
how often do you get to stand 5 ft from Jack White while hes shredding

@PepitoneConQueso yea, not a good representation of Canadian enthusiasm. me for one( canadian i am) would have been like you, boucing the fuck everywhere

OH MY GOD! There just like Standing there!!!
I would be trying to start a Mosh Pit if I was there XD

does anyone remember the episode of the simpsons where they went to hullaballozza and the crowd was all sapped and crappy?? Thats what this crowd looks like
The crowd are way too reserved I'd be like fuck me look how close I am to the white stripes
guy at 3:59 just couldn't help himself and had to go for an air drum crescendo. lol
back in the day, from what i've heard, throwing yourself around at a concert was considered flattering for bands. most people are too concerned with recording to actually enjoy a concert anymore.
What a great angle!
@PepitoneConQueso dude they are canadians and like bryan adams, what do you expect?
Aaa huh wait I get it, by being reserved they are therefore being cool...or just canadian
Only as good as your audience and pa...
@Theshamham rock roll is the soul. he'll never fuck that up.
He is 185 I think, look when he played with Conan he was like his kid, or even German Harald Schmidt too.
i can see where your coming from, but just bc theyre not going crazy doesnt mean theyre not excited. Too many (if not all) crowds get ripped on on youtube. Dont be too hard on them
does anyone know what kinda keyboard he is using here?
Should be the new American Anthem!!!
@PepitoneConQueso theyre canadian thats why. (;
Nois
The crowd
@PepitoneConQueso Cause they are shy :D
They are all under 1m 70cm? LOL
this audience is dead, omg
maybe a MOOG?
Just me or does jack white look 10 feet tall compared to everyone in the crowd?
Adam Sanche apparently he’s like 6’4
this crowd is so dead it makes me sick.
This is so awkard.
Why?
The people watching it are bearly moving.
They're all clearly rocking out. It's a small intimate venue, if they behaved like it was an arena concert someone would likely get hurt.
