@@nugnorab5257 yeah because the baby died. some say stillborn but i've read about it and one version of the passed down story was that he played a practical joke on Josephine Bracken which frightened her terribly and as a result , she gave birth prematurely to an eight-month baby boy. hello Minyeo TV... i just wanted to say that thank you for posting a video of the PHILIPPINES national HERO. he's real name is José Protacio Rizal Mercado y Alonso Realonda. Rizal went to spain so he can study there. He is famous in other countries because of his poems, articles and novels. We Filipinos really appreciate all of our national heroes especially Dr. Jose Rizal... God bless
It's because of his occupations.Rizal was not our only hero in Philippines but he is really genius and has many occupation he is a writer, doctor, revolutionary etc.
Rizal is not just a Phillipine Hero but a Hero to human kind. Because of these many monuments, i believe now that Rizal was indeed a friend of many kings and queens of his time!!! Thank you guys from sharing!!!
No. He collects women around the world 😁😁😁joke! First Jose Rizal is a sculptor in his time and while he is very friendly and cordial in all his visits around the world as a scholar... He made a name in all those places in different forms. Like writing in news papers, taking up new class subjects, paint, draw anything he finds interesting and can help himself and the family back home.
Jose Rizal the most respectable filipino all over the world. Pride Hero of the Philippines. He traveled around the world to learn a lot of things like nationalism . He is not only doctor. He is also a leader, scientist, teacher, artist, writer, sculpture, painter, mason, noble and etc... He can speak a lot languages like Local dialect and languages of the Philippines like Tagalog bisaya and more. He can speak a lot foreign languages like Spanish English German Russian Italian Latin Malay japanese Chinese and etc...
If I remember correctly, Heidelberg Germany was where his novel, "Noli Me Tangere", was published. He also pursued further studies in Germany when he found out that medical studies was more advance there than in Spain. In Hongkong, where he lived for about a year, he set up an eye clinic there and people of different nationalities came to see him for medical advice. He became well-known there and patients had to line up to seek treatment.
Iam a Filipino, I was there in Juneau Alaska a year ago and I saw the Monument of Dr. Jose Rizal and I was Amazed and so Proud that Rizal Monumentl is everywhere! ❤❤❤
He travel to study, especially in europe thats why there are many monuments of him in europe and theres a story of him where all the people in the ship are diff like: japanese, americans etc and the people dont understand each other and he is the one who stand to be the translator
I guess the reason why Jose Rizal's monument is all over the world because of his bravery in fighting against Spanish regime in the Philipines by writing books like Noli Me Tangere, La Solidaredad and Mi Ultimo Adios. Another reason maybe because he traveled a lot in those places and he spoke 23 foreign languages fluently.
Another reason is because Filipinos are all over the world looking for or holding jobs and/or living there for good. They form communities and want a Rizal statue erected in order to exalt their hero.
basically, Rizal was all around the globe back in the day thus him being a polyglot he spoke 22 languages he studied in Europe mainly in Spain, France and Germany, he had so many relationships with different ethnicities, in fact there’s a little battle between him and Heneral Luna when they both liked a mixed girl named Nelly Boustead, and his monument in Luneta Park here in Manila was the first one and they made a replica of it in Madrid
and all the locations and countries mentioned in the vid basically has a decent or great amount of filipinos living in them (i think we also have this reputation next to chinese peeps that we are also everywhere on earth lol)
Jose Rizal is not only known as a Filipino hero Before he became a well known hero He is writer.he has a lot of book written by him but only the book he on revolutionaries well known the best. Aside from that Jose rizal travel from one country to another.he is also a scholar in other states. Missing here is the one in New York City, which was taken down when the building on 23rd St & 5th Avenue was renovated. They seem to have misplaced it 😒. There's an ongoing effort to locate and reinstall....
Rizal's sisters Olimpia, Maria and Lucia used to tease and laughed at him for molding some historical figures when he was young. He told his sisters that "okay, laughed at me now, but in the future, see if people will make statues of me." Fast forward to the present, if his sisters were alive today, they would have regretted laughing at him lol. I think he has got lots of monuments all over the world because they recognize him for his significant literary and scientific contributions, wide influence, outstanding achievements, intelligence and heroism. Btw, I am amazed that you took interest in our national hero. Well, his writings would really make you fall in love and "kilig". One example would be Noli Me Tangere ( no need to translate this for you since you both understand these words perfectly).
From Baguio City, Philippines here. We have a Rizal Park in front of out city hall. And, further down the hill is Burnham Park, named after an American builder.
I will not be able to conpletely answer all the questions but let me try: 1) Rizal extensively travelled Europe (mostly the western part) when he was studying in Madrid to be an opthalmologist to cure his mother's cataract. He even met with his close foreigner friend named Blumentritt (i forgot if he is German or Austrian) and had a duel with Antonio Luna over a girl (Nelly Boustead?? Josephine Bracken??? Gertrude Beckett???? Im bad in remembering names) when he was in London (or was it in Spain? I cannot remember its all messed up Im sorry) . Rizal also had a love affair with a girl he called "Osei-san" with his stay in Japan. Basically everywhere he goes he always had love affairs lol. The monuments in USA/Canada/Australia are only honorary (although he had visited New York? Lol i dont remember anymore) or maybe thru the efforts of the pinoy communities there. There is supposed to be another monument in Fujian in China where it was speculated that it was the place where Rizal's chinese roots came from but it was not shown on the video. The monument was a replica of the Luneta one. There are a lot more not shown in this video you'll get tired trying to research all of them so you can just speculate that most monuments in Europe are probably places he has visited and anywhere outside would just be honorary or a recognition of his contributions and talents (except hongkong, singapore, tokyo, new york(?) which he has actually visited) . 2) The monument in Madrid was built in 1996 and is just a replica of the one in Luneta park in Manila. The one in Luneta was built during American times and it was the time most of Rizal monuments are built throughout the country.
Im so bad at history. I cannot remember dates, names, and i usually mess up the chronological order and i can only remember the events/situations lol dammit 🥴😂
Rizal fought with Luna about Nelly Boustead (who was half French, half Filipina). He allegedly proposed to her, but the only thing that prevented them from getting marriage was their religion. Nelly wanted him to convert to Protestant so that her mother would allow the union between them, but Rizal refused to convert, so they broke up. Gertrude Beckett was a woman who was in love with Rizal when he travelled to England, but Rizal didn't have the same feelings towards her. When he left England without her knowledge, he sculpted a mini bust of Getrude and her sisters as a goodbye gift. She allegedly tried to write letters to him, but he would not respond back 😂 Josephine Braken was his last girlfriend and alleged wife. They allegedly had a son together while he was in exile in Dapitan, but the son (who was named after Rizal's father) died 3 hours after his birth. His son birth and death was on the same year Rizal was executed in 1896. I love history and was interested in learning about Rizal's interesting life, and this information was what I gathered from the numerous documentaries about his as told by respected historians. Of course with his many achievements, they couldn't skip the many relationships he had so I had no other choice but to sit and watch as they explain about all his girlfriends 😂 Hope this clarifies things.
@@abnoyngatawo The argument happened in France. Luna was drunk and said some words about Nelly which upset Rizal. I believe Rizal offered to fight with guns, but Luna wanted to fight with duel swords. Later, Antonio Luna sobered up and apologized to Rizal through a letter, so the duel never took place.
Dr. Rizal, while pursuing his medical specialization in Ophthalmology in Madrid, and in Germany (training under Dr. Ferdinand Blumentritt) he really had a wide interested in traveling to all these places during his spare time, and so he went.
Rizal travelled extensively around Europe, particularly in the Western part. He studied medicine in Madrid, continued his education in Paris where he earned his second doctorate, and finished his opthalmology studies in Heidelberg, Germany where he practiced in an eye clinic there. I believe he also treated and operated his own mother's eye during that time. He does not only have a street named after him in Heidelberg but also a park on top of a hill dedicated to him. Rizal was not only a polyglot who speaks 22 languages but also a polymath -- he was a poet, creative writer, novelist, doctor, land surveyor (at least that's what he finished in Ateneo but not sure if he practiced it). He also dabbled in other fields like economics, architecture, sociology, ethnology, martial arts, fencing, etc.
@@simeonsevandal9139 Indeed, though he didn't finish at the UST and got his medical licentiate (equivalent to the current Bacehlor's Degree) in Madrid. Thus, he had to take further studies in Paris and in Heidelberg, where he specialised in opthalmology, to be able to practise medicine.

As a Filipino cetizen I'm proud to our national hero to recognized his life not only here in our country also all over the world and we are happy to have like him in our country. AFA -1A
The reason why Dr. Jose Rizal has monuments in numerous countries.. It's because of his being a very good eye doctor that royal families of some countries get availed of his service as doctor. Most of his service are for free. Aside from that he has an enormous wealth that he help other countries survive their economy. He rose up from a super wealthy family that is why he was able to study abroad and travel almost around the world funded by Ońate's wealth. He has a Filipino and Spanish blood. He descended from the Ońate's family of Spain but settled in Zacaticas Mexico. His great great grand father was Don Juan Antonio Berdan Ońate a Spanish merchant and a miner and from Spain the Oñates settled in Zacaticas Mexico for a special mission sanctioned by the King of Spain.
We have one here in Baguio City, Philippines too. It's a park (well most monuments in PH I think are parks, Luneta may be the largest of area).... Was also able to visit the place where he was exiled, Dapitan City in Mindanao... That area is now a museum.... In that place believed to where he buried his son who died of still birth.
Yeah its simply called Rizal Park for locals located in Dapitan City. Well there's a story about that. jose rizal had a lover, josephine bracken with a blind father. And Jose Rizal became the doctor of Josephine's father, since they initially went to seek Rizal since he is famous for being an opthamologist. There's also this big rock in the rizal park, where it said to be a dating spot of Josephine and Jose. And yes, they had a child, unfortunately buried underneath the house. Before there are claims that guards could hear a baby cry echoing the park late afternoon. And some say they saw a boy disappeared underneath that particular house.
You know you’re a rockstar in history when many countries erect a statue in your honor. Jose Protasio Rizal Mercado y Alonso Realonda was an extraordinary man in life. And I say this as an American born from Filipino parents. 🇵🇭🇺🇸
In my home place Dapitan City, Zambo Norte, Philippines Jose Rizal has lot of monuments and statues.. Before he was executed the Spaniards put him in exile in this remote place for almost 4 years 1892- 1896. He has many achievements here.
I wonder if Jose Rizal knows Or he meet the same Genuis my Idol in Music Ludwig Van Beethoven. Because if i know Jose Rizal loves Music Too he can Play a Violin or a Piano? Correct me if im wrong.. Because that Era of 1800's Beethoven was so Popular in music.
Fun Fact, there are at least 118 Rizal Monuments throughout the Philippines, excluding all other Rizal Monuments in each Cities and Municipalities. There are 120+ cities in the Philippines and there are more than a thousand municipalities. not to mention schools has also rizal monuments. and there are 1 or two schools in 40 thousand barangays.
Those monuments were built even before the Filipinos spread across the globe. He has done something for the world that we will never know. Even his family tree from the past and in this modern time is privatized. He's also a mason and one of the founding fathers of the Philippines and Asia.
Well correct. The most secretive man in the world is JPR. He was trusted by many Kings and Queens. He hired FEM to be his lawyer. He owns the gold lent to 176 CENTRAL BANKS. He gave 30% atty fee to FEM from his gold. Google Fr Jose Antonio Diaz aka Severino Santa Romana.

Rizal is very famous, travel different countries in europe..most of all he is well known because he is sentence to death by spaniards in front of his countrymen..makes him a hero.
Rizal was really a traveler, writer, poet, and doctor, although he opposes colonial rule, especially Spanish Rule but he preferred to do it in a non-violent protest through writing. It was the Americans who insistently made him a National Hero of the Philippines because they want to inculcate to the minds of Filipinos the typical non-violent revolutionary hero. For most Filipinos, the true revolutionary hero is Andres Bonifacio because he truly took up arms and died in battle to fight colonizers.
The Cambridge Spanish Center hosted a talk on Dr.Rizal titled Jose Rizal:Filipino Polymath and National Hero by Dr. Luis Castellvi Laukamp. It's on youtube. It might explain to you why he has so many statues in his honor around the world. The lecture is not only interesting but very enlightening specially for people from Latin American countries who share similarities with the Philippines in the fight against colonialism and indepence from Spain.By the way, Rizal's romantic relationships with many women around the world is well documented. He was not only charming, he was highly enlightened/intelligent and sophisticated. This winning combination must have been too much to resist for many ladies who met him throughout all his travels around the world. He was a surgeon(ophthalmologist), a novelist/poet, a linguist, an impressive orator,a naturalist(There were species of insects and plants named after him which he first classified.)He was an artist(He did drawing, painting and sculpting.). He was also described as an engineer and a teacher during his exile to Dapitan. He engaged in sports, too.Who knows, his blood runs in the veins of Josh.Ssob after all has a natural affinity for learning and there's no question whatsoever about his charisma. What do you think Luna? 😊 😊 😊
I got 1.25 Grade in my Rizal Subject but it would take me the whole day writing here.Charot. But seriously Rizal subject is one of my favorite subjects in college.
He was a doctor so in part it was for further studies (to become a doctor and specialization) and a freedom fighter at the same time. I could be misquoting here, bu i think he said "the pen is mightier than the sword"? It was ecause of his novels (2 of which we're required to study in junior and senior years in high school) the further impelled the people to fight for freedom from Spanish tyranny at the time. Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo. It portrayed the struggles and experiences of the Filipino "Indios" so eloquently and with such impact that the outside world could not help but pay attention to. Of course, those he met were besieged by troubles in their own countries as it was a shifting world. He and a group of Filipinos like him, helped to usher in freedom, which we now enjoy thanks to them. Sigh... Bow. Hahaha speech over 😅
The statue in Madrid is a replica of the one in Luneta (Rizal) Park, Manila. The Luneta Park was erected even during the American occupation. On the other hand, the Madrid replica was only erected in 1996. Spain did not recognize Rizal as the hero of the Philippines until 1996 because he was considered a traitor to the Spainish government.
You know Dr. Jose Rizal is a Legend if he left Monuments on every places he had gone. there were even stories or theories about him being immortal and a co-partner of President Ferdinand Marcos in handling two thirds of the world's Gold reserved under the alias of Jose Antonio Dias de la Paz.

AFA -1A
He studied Medicine in Paris London and Germany and He speaks 14 major languages in the world
I'm not sure about the monuments on Australia and US, but he lived and studied in Europe. He published his 2 famous novels in Germany.
Every school in the Philippines has it's own Rizal Park
Only Rizal Building
If you can have a copy of Noli Me Tangre and El Filibusterismo in Spanish, these really are good novels to read.
Rizal was a short person yet he had a lot of girlfriends both from local and foreign countries. Height really does not matter. Sana all.
Sol at Luna,
Please react si Skusta Clee's musika video tinawag "Lagi" pls.
Almost in all schools here in the Philippines has a Heroes Park and mounted at the center is our national hero Dr. Jose P. Rizal...❤️🇵🇭❤️
Calamba, Laguna is Dr. Jose Rizal's birth place. There is also a bridge in Seattle, Washington, USA named after him.
He was only a foundling to the Mercado couple in Calamba.
Wow Jose rizal protacio Mercado y realonda my God he is popular I didn't know that, based in my learning in school he go to Madrid
We also have here in Hong Kong Dr Jose Rizal monument.

Great question. His secret is he lent his gold to 176 different Central Banks. 650,000 metric tons of gold!
It's all about the Divine wealth why Rizal monument is seen around the world.
True Rizal is all over the PH. In every school and Parks and in every municipality..you'll see his monument ot statues..
He was executed in Luneta park and his remains is there
Fun Fact, there are at least 118 Rizal Monuments throughout the Philippines, excluding all other Rizal Monuments in each Cities and Municipalities. There are 120+ cities in the Philippines and there are more than a thousand municipalities. not to mention schools has also rizal monuments. and there are 1 or two schools in 40 thousand barangays.
His deep secret is he lent his gold to 176 CENTRAL BANKS worldwide.
Please React to ALAMAT's SISTER Group LITZ 'Natataranta' PRE-DEBUT MV🔥❤✨
Those monuments were built even before the Filipinos spread across the globe. He has done something for the world that we will never know. Even his family tree from the past and in this modern time is privatized. He's also a mason and one of the founding fathers of the Philippines and Asia.
Well correct. The most secretive man in the world is JPR. He was trusted by many Kings and Queens. He hired FEM to be his lawyer. He owns the gold lent to 176 CENTRAL BANKS. He gave 30% atty fee to FEM from his gold. Google Fr Jose Antonio Diaz aka Severino Santa Romana.
jose rizal was lived and study abroad,..he travel around the world during his time..
Am here. Nice one again

Jose Rizal is a Pride of the Malay Race.
He study there and he can speak many language. He is very intelligent.
I think he lived on those places during his exiles in the Philippines 🇵🇭.
So, tell me, is Rizal the father of Hitler?
@@amristar736 that theory is debunked by historians, Rizal is not Hitler's father and his parents are documented where they come from
He was a doctor so in part it was for further studies (to become a doctor and specialization) and a freedom fighter at the same time.
