  • This is a tool overview of the Kregg Automaxx clamp. It goes over what this clamp is good at and what it's not very good at and goes over the main advantages and disadvantages of this clamp.
It also shows the difference between a standard Face Clamp and this automatic adjusting clamp.
This isn't a sponsored video. Kreg doesn't know I am doing this and I wouldn't expect them to.

I am a Maker and this is how I build the things I build. Now this isn't a HOW TO video where I take you along the entire process of the build. This is meant as entertainment for people who like looking at how people build things.
I have been building outdoor furniture for over 10 years and this is something I am willing to share with you.

Who are all these "pros" that don't want us to know things? RUclips seems filles with pro woodworkers who seem more than happy to share their knowledge

@@riksanders5606 Most youtubers are professional content creators. Not pro woodworkers.
Some are pro educators that used to travel from wood shows to wood shows to sell books or lessons. Paul Sellers is a great example. Some make tools and are showcasing their tools. Others are just product shills.
Most likely build things for around the house. Have a dozen customers or just sells everything on auction.

I have used the Vise Grip 11R with the pads for almost 40 years now, and like the Kreg grip have watched those manufactures come and go. Being a retired Sheetmetal I can safely say we have used every clamp known to mankind. and some do work in the wood working hobby. For me I buy the cheapest clamp that is going to work. Esperance has shown they are all going to fail, it's just a question of when. but anyhow great content, keep up the good work

@@dusty265 I enjoy the Vise-Grip brand of locking pliers a lot. The release mechanism is really nice compared to some other noname brands I've used.
I don't shy away from Irwin tools. Most of their tools I have shown me that they work.

Why wouldn't tool pros want you to know about these clamps? That doesn't make sense to me. The video is good. I'm not a fan of the weird click bait title man.

@@hodgeac I bet Kreg wants you to know about it. They where all over these vids 7 or 8 years ago but now the only people I know that has a pair are people doing this for a living.
I think it's a cost thing. They are not cheap so to me to equip yourself with enough of these it would cost alot. 1000$ for a dozen or so
