This is one of those features that keeps me on the Android platform. If I phone would allow me to connect my text messages on any device that's not an Apple computer then I might consider going to iPhone but until then Android has me!
The system has changed a tiny bit, I'm seeing. Now you can apparently log in with your Google Account. Also, that QR-code log in has changed places just a bit on the phone; nothing too drastic though. The tips provided in this video are still helpful, however. Thanks for the instructions and especially on how to get the app downloaded to your computer! This has been something I've been trying to figure out for a long time now!

I am using a samsung S22+ and a mac pro M1 chip. I can't find the option to pair. I'm in the conversations option but there is no obvious way to cue up read bar code to complete the process. Darn I wanted to send and receive Android texts.

You can use Intel Unison or Phone Link. Phone Link comes with Windows and is soon supporting iPhones.
This also work in Linux. I use it a lot.

I did this and it wants to chat - I can't find messaging. Seems to be pushing the Google menu-du-jour.
if only MS would not fuckup the app each and every time they so called "update" it, it would eventually be great.
