I already have 50 hours into the game and for some reason I'm here watching this video. On another note, why does every gameplay I see have people using the sneaking suit? Maybe my instincts with Metal Gear Solid 3 are still buried deep down, but I absolutely have to have camouflage that matches my environment. For me, the sneaking suit is strictly for missions at night that are planned inside a compound of some sort.
I'd never played a MGS game, but I bought this last night and love it. Obviously I have no idea about the backstory but I'm still enjoying it. The beginning part in the hospital was better than most horror movies.

@@devendradurge the main missions have a lot of replayability because of the extra objectives that you sometimes need to complete to be able to develop certain weapons or items. You can also spend a lot of time doing side ops to earn money and resources to expand your base or just extracting soldiers to level up the base. They take up quite a long time
Non lethal ammo and lethal ammo have different impact, if you missed near the target using a silinced lethal weapon, they will almost immediately taking cover and report the situation
I loved this game without having played any of the earlier MGS games. This game is so well optimized for one. You were correct about the intro which was OMG amazing. Also, I found the lack of dialogue on Snake's part quite funny. Like when he rescues Miller and then there's a cutscene where Miller would constantly keep talking to Snake without Snake saying a word to him.
Buy this game. Even if you don’t like stealth, you’ll love it. Basically you get to own your own private military, and that’s awesome. There’s always something to progress towards and strive for in this game, even after you beat the main storyline. I never played any MGS game before this except for Ground Zeroes, and I love it.

10/10 - one of the best games I played. I never played a MGS game before but still I fell in love with this one a couple of missions in. There is just so much to do! At first all the mother base management and leveling up stuff was overwhelming, but I once I got the hang of it, it is the most addictive feature of the game. So much so, that 2 years on, I still grind a few missions and invade a couple of bases from time to time - just to get my shit up!!!
10 out of 10 with a dead open world? With an incomplete story? With a lot of cut content? 10 out of 10? Not even Skyrim is a 10 out of 10 and is one the best game made out there... MGS V is at maximum a solid (heh) 7.

There are 50 missions, all with credits at the end of them. It's made clear to the player that the open world is for travelling, both for the player, and the targets. It is a game mechanic to be exploited, not explored.
Try to watch out for kids whose parents won't buy the game for them spoiling the ending in comments sections. That's what happened to me and its very unfortunate.
Its funny, because that Extraordinary Boris prick that spoiled a huge chunk of the game's about section on his channel states: just another guy trying to bring joy and happiness to the world. Funny... He has an anime profile picture anyway so we all know he's probably bullied at school.

This game gives you a vast amount of freedom to how you want to approach any mission. I am 3% through it and so far I have found it engaging and deep with its gameplay. The gameplay is the story and vice versa, the cassette tapes are their for the story. The gameplay is fantastic.
This is my only Metal Gear game (so far), and I remember thinking to myself during the first infiltration mission when you rescue Kaz “This is noticeably more exciting than other stealth games”.
This was my first Metal Gear game, and it’s great; the AI is tight but sometimes inconsistent, occasionally being a little too unaware of your position at nighttime, but is generally very good and realistic whilst being fair. The gunplay matches the stealth excellently, meaning that although the stealth is hard and is not strictly necessary, you’ll want to keep yourself hidden because there’s a huge sense of accomplishment from a clean mission at a base when you leave having never even been shot at. Pretty much a perfect game for me personally.

the reason why Snake doesn't talk as much is because they wanted to focus on displaying his emotions through face motions and body language. it's not about what he say, it's his actions and what he doesn't say.

For the entire game his emotions are pretty much stone faced even when looking at the Man on Fire you don't see any fear in him or emotion he just looks at it. Big Boss had no emotion and when they tried to give him emotion it just felt weird and out of place.

Started playing the game a few weeks ago. In the beginning, I found the game really boring. Graphics weren't impressive and the player movement felt clunky. But I absolutely love it now after pouring many hours into it. Love how you can approach a mission in many different ways. Love the motherbase
This game is about as much as my laptop can handle so I haven't played newer AAA games, but purely from a standpoint of art direction and attention to detail these graphics are great, they just aren't state of the art atm

I played peace walker on my android back in 2016 using emulator and now I'm playing this game on my new pc. Bruh, it's the best experience I could ever feel.
I gotta say it's top 3 favorite games but it's not flawless, and I'm not even talking about chapter 3 which I do wish was in the game, but I feel like it's too easy especially late game. They really should have let us apply difficulty modifiers through the idroid or something so we could make the gameplay different. The on site procurement missions for example were really fun but there was only 2-3 of them, and one of them was ridiculously easy even with OSP.

I'm not a MGS hardcore fan. In fact I havent played ANY of the games except Ground Zeroes. I did watch a tooonnnn of videos about the story and its fucking amazing! Wish I had played through it all... Anyway as for MGS 5 im a little disappointed that there isnt so much awesomeness in the story and not THAT much in the desert etc and shit to do BUT... As a lover of stealth games this shit is a must own. It's so well done and now with the open world there are just so many options and shit to take in consideration and complete the missions that its just awesome! So yeah I'm definitely getting it. Not sure when yet but I'm defintly getting this.

He just wanted the game to be a simple "Choose where you want to infiltrate, grab the tools and do it" but because the fans kept asking for more lore he decided to incorporate a plot. That's why there's a heavy emphasys on gameplay.
Metal Gear Solid 5 The Phantom Pain is an absolute masterpiece, Hideo Kojima truly outdid himself, the world is so detailed, graphics, sound design all top notch, a joy to explore, while the gameplay is just so much fun! I have played the game for hundreds of hours and still never get bored, so much fun and incredible replay value,one of my all time favorite games. 👏👏👏👏

"You never really know exactly how far the enemy can see you from" Actually you do. There is a very specific set of rules in regards to the distances for audio/visual detection. It is impacted by numerous other elements such as weather, shadows, your uniform and the enemy's equipment, but it's always a specific round number that you need to be aware of.

It takes me about an average of 30 minutes just to infiltrate one enemy base. The other MGS games' stealth is a bit linear in both the story and the gameplay but with the phantom pain, it's so much more open to other possibilities. With more possibilities, the more likely you're going to get spotted.
I believe this is the easiest out of the main games. I played all of them in extreme(highest difficulty) and I found MGS2(no radar) /3 (snake eater/subsistence)to be the most difficult. It's because of those possibilities that made it easy compared to the first franchise where you have to carefully memorize/perfect each and every stage because of the limited options.
I want to buy this for my aunt she loves video games she's the whole reason I'm into gaming actually and mgs is a childhood game of hers she deserves good things honestly
Okay I'll sum this up!.. AMAZING GAMEPLAY... virtually NO STORY for a mgs game.. not "alittle more barebones" but like NOT THERE for 90% of the game.. other then that its repetitive missions where you'll find yourself asking "why I'm I even doing this?"

Metal gear 5 also introduced me to metal gear but the ! sound affect was me knowing one of the metal gear memes.
Listening to the cassette tapes in game is a must. They add so such context and reveal a lot more about the story and characters.

Yeah that's an upgrade you can get for Snake later in the game. The standard sprint is slowly and looks much more natural.

Started playing the game a few weeks ago.
In the beginning, I found the game really boring. Graphics weren't impressive and the player movement felt clunky.
But I absolutely love it now after pouring many hours into it.
Love how you can approach a mission in many different ways.

This game is about as much as my laptop can handle so I haven't played newer AAA games, but purely from a standpoint of art direction and attention to detail these graphics are great, they just aren't state of the art atm

My favorite game of all time, I'm still playing it today. Absolute Masterpiece. It's not hard though, this is the easiest metal gear by a long shot.
I played peace walker on my android back in 2016 using emulator and now I'm playing this game on my new pc. Bruh, it's the best experience I could ever feel.
I gotta say it's top 3 favorite games but it's not flawless, and I'm not even talking about chapter 3 which I do wish was in the game, but I feel like it's too easy especially late game. They really should have let us apply difficulty modifiers through the idroid or something so we could make the gameplay different. The on site procurement missions for example were really fun but there was only 2-3 of them, and one of them was ridiculously easy even with OSP.

I'm not a MGS hardcore fan. In fact I havent played ANY of the games except Ground Zeroes.
I did watch a tooonnnn of videos about the story and its fucking amazing! Wish I had played through it all... Anyway as for MGS 5 im a little disappointed that there isnt so much awesomeness in the story and not THAT much in the desert etc and shit to do BUT...
As a lover of stealth games this shit is a must own. It's so well done and now with the open world there are just so many options and shit to take in consideration and complete the missions that its just awesome!
So yeah I'm definitely getting it. Not sure when yet but I'm defintly getting this.

He just wanted the game to be a simple "Choose where you want to infiltrate, grab the tools and do it" but because the fans kept asking for more lore he decided to incorporate a plot. That's why there's a heavy emphasys on gameplay.
Metal Gear Solid 5 The Phantom Pain is an absolute masterpiece, Hideo Kojima truly outdid himself, the world is so detailed, graphics, sound design all top notch, a joy to explore, while the gameplay is just so much fun! I have played the game for hundreds of hours and still never get bored, so much fun and incredible replay value,one of my all time favorite games. 👏👏👏👏

Actually you do. There is a very specific set of rules in regards to the distances for audio/visual detection. It is impacted by numerous other elements such as weather, shadows, your uniform and the enemy's equipment, but it's always a specific round number that you need to be aware of.
This game has the most f'd up starting to a video game that I think I've ever experienced. I don't think I'll ever forget it.

It takes me about an average of 30 minutes just to infiltrate one enemy base. The other MGS games' stealth is a bit linear in both the story and the gameplay but with the phantom pain, it's so much more open to other possibilities. With more possibilities, the more likely you're going to get spotted.
I believe this is the easiest out of the main games. I played all of them in extreme(highest difficulty) and I found MGS2(no radar) /3 (snake eater/subsistence)to be the most difficult. It's because of those possibilities that made it easy compared to the first franchise where you have to carefully memorize/perfect each and every stage because of the limited options.

Okay I'll sum this up!.. AMAZING GAMEPLAY... virtually NO STORY for a mgs game.. not "alittle more barebones" but like NOT THERE for 90% of the game.. other then that its repetitive missions where you'll find yourself asking "why I'm I even doing this?"
