Purchasing Chanel Bag From eBay Japan Seller

Hi everyone,
Today’s video, I will be talking about the latest bag I purchased from eBay. Yes, I brought a vintage Chanel classic flap from an eBay seller from Japan. With Chanel’s continuous price increase, its definitely more economical to purchase a pre-loved Chanel bag. Before you do go down the route of making a purchase from eBay seller, please consider the following:
Seller’s reputation
Condition of the bag
Price range for the bag that suits your budget
Additional costs, such as shipping, tax on the item, import duty tax, handling agent fees
The seller I purchased from boom2hanten. Another seller I previously purchased from brand_jfa and one that I follow which have not made any purchases from eg-system.
Please do your due diligence anytime when you make a purchase from eBay. Make sure you are comfortable with the seller and the transaction.

Love your video! Congrats on your bag, I know its has been two years but I do have a question for you. I just bought a Chanel bag myself and also had a coupon code and Paid local taxes all together I paid $2,743.73. Will they charge me the true cost before the code or charge me the cost I've paid for custom ? I greatly Appericate your time !

hi, how much additional did you end up paying for the tax and handling fee? if you dont mind me asking.

If your item cost $3000, the state and local tax will apply. Depends on the seller, if he declare the full $3000 as the value, you will have to pay $3000 x 9% in import tax, since anything over $800 will be assessed. For me if I purchased through US luxury reseller I probably have to pay the cost of the item at ~$4000-$5000 (if available) and tax on that amount. For me it was worth it because the cost of the item is where I saved most. Hope that helps.

Yes, there was duty/custom tax. For me I had to paid 9% of the value of the item for anything over $800. Anything value under $800, there is no duty/custom.
