Hi, this is was a very helpful video so firstly…thank you very much. I just wanted to see if you could dispel some concerns I had after reading a particular article. It basically said that if you DIY your own home feng sui and get it even slightly wrong that it will not only reik havoc on your life but it is irreversible. Once it’s done it’s done. Is this possibly true? And if any of it is, what tips do you have about any of that?
Hi Melissa - I'm so happy you're here and thank you for the kind words. ABSOLUTELY NOT - to that article. It's the negative, fear based marketing that motivates me to do these RUclips videos because no one should feel they are at the mercy of someone or something else. You of course can try to DIY it. That's how I started 9 years ago, and I certainly "messed up" here and there - but there was no irreversible havoc haha. 1. Does the person do Feng Shui consultations? If that's how they get paid then my guess is they would rather get paid to do your Feng Shui than teach you how to do it on your own so they're marketing it with this language. 2. If they use the flying star technique and Classical Feng Shui, they could be doing a very poor job of explaining that Feng Shui is based on some math, science, and it is more complex that many BTB/ DIY articles would portray. I practice Classical Feng Shui so I do know how much MORE accurate it is but it does take professional training. That being said, I started 9 years ago doing the BTB/ DIY until I had more money, had more knowledge, and wanted to be a consultant. 3. If it's Classical Feng Shui you've been reading about, I recommend watching my monthly forecast videos where I talk about the best areas of the month and the more difficult areas to avoid certain activities in - if you're looking to minimize "havoc", but even if you didn't watch the monthly forecast you will be okay! Your energy and actions regardless of Feng Shui play a major role in your life. Ultimately any school of Feng Shui has an aspect of making the home feel better and seeing more prosperity and abundance. It doesn't take the most complex Feng Shui to make that happen. YOUR positive, proactive, and happy energy plays a MAJOR role in your home feeling good too, so remember your power :)
Firstly, thank you for taking the time to respond to my query. Time is our most precious commodity and so thank you for sharing some of yours with me. I’m thankful for the information you have provided me with and I assure you that I will now not let negative nellies deter me from trying DIY feng sui. I too am in the line of work of helping people see their internal power and guiding them in rediscovering it and manifesting it in the real world so I appreciate coming across others that are doing the same for humanity in their own ways, so thank you for what you contribute generally to this cause. I will definitely check out the videos of yours that you recommend. Take care, keep smiling and keep shooting for the stars because even if you miss your target you will still land amongst the stars themselves :-)
Thank you so much for this. You're my fave Feng Shui RUclipsr! I have 2 questions: For apartments, do you Bagua the entire building, then shrink it (map) down and apply it to the your apartment's floorplan, or do you just Bagua your apartment's floorplan w/o doing the compass calculations for the entire building first? 2. Any courses/books you recommend for those wanting to become classical Feng Shui consultants? Thanks again for your lovely videos and tutorials.
Well isn't that nice!! haha thank you! If you're doing beginner level, start with just your apartment. As things get more advanced with Flying Star Feng Shui professionals would look at the entire building, what stars are being carried in, etc. But alot can be accomplished at the beginner level, focusing just on your apartment. I loved my training with Feng Shui by Jen is Scottsdale, AZ. She has a book - The First Guidebook for Feng Shui Enthusiasts. Joey Yap's course is great but it's very advanced and I'm glad I had the formal training before investing in that.

Hi I just found your channel. This video is very informative. Thank you. After finding out all the degrees of your home, how is it used to activate things like health, wealth etc?
Welcome! That's what the rest of the videos are for. Once you know your directions you know how to boost your home. Other videos will say something like "boost the East for better health" and now you know where East is!
This was the BEST video on overlay! You make it look so easy :-) Tried your DIY method but not sure if I got it right. At the front door it said I was facing 104° Drew line from the center to slightly right front door and then placed the bogua. Front of the house is SE/E so looking from front; wealth and prosperity front left, health, family, relationships to the right and W/NW at the back of the house, Does that at all sound right tight to you?
Hi, thank you and thanks for submitting your question over here! Yes you have it in the right order. If you're looking in plan view E (at 6 o'clock) is at the front door, SE is in the pie wedge to the left, South next pie wedge to the left, SW, W (at 12 oclock) back of house, NW, North (at 3 o'clock) Remember energy is fluid so it's okay if it isn't perfect the energy meanders between pie wedges!
@@ElementalClarity I appreciate your reassurance! I’m trying to learn the traditional way and there is so much to know. I’m going to start to work my way through all of the wonderful information you have on here. Thanks again for your help.

Hi David, I'm not sure if I understand your question but to calculate the flying stars you need to know the facing direction of your home. Your facing direction, most of the time, is where the front door/ main entry point is.
Thank you for your response. I was uncleard where to take the reading from. house facing direction is different than the reading from the center of the house to the center of the door.
Thank you for the link. Let me ask another way. House facing 115*SE1 and door facing 130*SE2. Which reading should I use to apply mountain and water stars?
If you live in an apartment and the entry of the building faces the same side where your apartment receives more light and wind, the balcony, and the front door is more hidden and smaller than the balcony one, what should you consider as the direction of your home?
Thank you for your question! I have had/ seen more success with myself and clients when we use the BALCONY as the facing direction. Some classical Feng Shui practitioners will tell you, you use the BUILDING facing direction... that's actually how I was trained, but I have not seen these bagua maps resonate with the people living in the apartment. I recommend using the balcony, the side that lets in most of the energy.
Thanks for this tutorial. Going to try it out. I’m so so new to feng shui and shaking my head it’s taken me this long to find it. It seems to fit all interests and I’m so intrigued! Question…our garage is attached to our house, do I include this when creating the map and if so, is it considered a room?
Feng Shui is THE BEST so you're in for a treat haha ALSO, you know what I know for a fact - everyone finds Feng Shui EXACTLY when they're meant to - so stick with it, because it just may be the solution you've been looking for! In your case it depends if the garage is hanging off of the house or if it's in the "main rectangle". In the video you'll see I show a main house and then on the left of the screen I show some "L shaped" floorplans. When I talk about the "L shapes" I mention if you should cut it off or include it. If it's attached and a part of the "main" (Disclaimer: I'm going to take a BIG guess and say yes) include it and it would be considered a room. Feng Shui is particular when it comes to the Bagua Map, it's the base for everything - I do offer a 1:1 Feng Shui Q&A. It's an hour long call where I create a bagua map for you and then there's time for about 2-3 questions. If that's something that interests you - here's a link >> elementalclarity.com/feng-shui-qa/
@@ElementalClarity Ah yes you are right, we find the things we need at exactly the time we need them! Awesome thanks. yes, my garage is included in the main rectangle so I will include it. I'll give the map a try. Great to know you offer a quick 1:1. I'll keep that in mind

What if the building faces one direction but the appartment i live in faces another direction ? Which is the one direction to pick .
Start with your apartment facing, observe over time
What if my front door is facing NE and my home is facing SE? How do I determine my house direction?
if you have alot of windows facing SE, so much that you say "my home is facing SE", and maybe it's facing a road. Then that is the direction you use.
Thanks. My hiking compass and iphone agreed with my front door degrees! If you don't mind, where did you get your transparent bagua?

How to map home if one area is missing?
If I understand your question correctly, that area would just be missing in your Bagua map
Thank you so much. My home is facing southeast (main door). Our North area is missing.
Why at the end did you say their money energy is in the west?
I was giving an example. I said "So now if I say something like ____ is in the West" you know where the West is."
@@ElementalClarity Its confusing bc I thought a wealth corner is with classical FS is usually in the SE corner?
