It would probably be impossible to change, but if they made it so when a legendary tag weapon is available in the shop, it lets you choose which one you want. That way you could pick one the fits your build.
@@carriejerkins6929 Not understanding. is life steal based on the damage you apply to a boss. In other games I have played if you kill 10 bosses with 100hp health, you would get +10hp if you have a 1% life steal.
Someone needs to make a mod that makes legendary weapons level like normal weapons just scale them down, and make their final form the same as they are now.
I agree with every criticism you have of the legendaries. You might see one every handful of runs, theres no guarantee itll be good when it shows up, and you'll probably get it in the last quarter of a run where you dont get to use it much. A shame, theyre all neat weapons
I feel like ghost scepter is a good partner to the scythe. It’s weak and slow enough that it won’t steak from the scythe’s lifestealing, but later in the wave it can farm bonus HP for survivability
Legendary scaling items fix idea, if they worked based off of which round you’re on instead of an increase each round. So maybe a +1 health for every previously completed round and +3hp at the end of any remaining rounds.
I have my thoughts on it, to keep it being brotato like, how about you can only achieve legendary weapons, by combining them from two different T4 weapons (basically creating T5, maybe color red or something, which is exclusive to these legendary weapons). For example, combining Sword T4 and Chopper T4 creates the Excalibur. Scissors T4 and Hatchet T4 creates the Scythe, or something like that. This will still be hard to get, since you need to influence the shop for 2 different weapons, but you CAN influence what you are building for. That's my take on it.
I think the legendary weapons are really included as a fun surprise. And if you do happen to get one near the end of the run, and it fits your build, you would click on endless to see how far you can go.
I would always try to get the 5 baby gecko. If you crunch the numbers it is a real good deal overall. You will at most spend 150 materials on all 5 geckos, it gives 50 range total and most important you have 5 independent 20% chance to attract a material, this sum to a 70% chance to attract a material. It is a really good item actually
the legendary weapons (and scaling items) do kinda need a change... What if the guaranteed legendary from elites was always a legendary weapon which you could not recycle but instead reroll into an item if you didn't want it?
If you feel that modding the legendary weapon in at the start you could manually edit the shop in your save file for the wave it could technically appear the first time (12 or 13 I think?). That would feel a little less broken at the start.
I think you should use the gene-modification too Just to use one-armed with every other character that benefits the legendary weapon :) Just for experiments:)))
When your hp regen "doubled" because of the potion, the number didn't change in the stats (8.64). Probably because the potion doesn't increase the regen rate but it increases the amount (and in the stats it still said 1 instead of 2). So your real regen would have been 17.28 i guess
I had 6 ghost scepter lvl 4 n I straight up didn’t even move from spawn I Juss killed everything so fast and I also had the sifd’s relic which gives 100% chance to attract material when dropped so I didn’t have to move at all

I got lucky and saw the scythe on a Masochist with the scissors run. Needless to say, I took it right quick and was unconcerned for basically the rest of the run.
Another way to maybe make legendary weapons better would be for them to be unique and only unlocked after completing danger 5 challenges related to a tagged character and then just get rid of the downside. Just let it be fun like the finished gun in gungeon
Legendary version of each character(unlock thru win on dif 5) gives you difficulty 6 and 7 for said character. Maybe then the new weapons would be more appealing
Why not mod a character..."The Protagonist" who starts off with a normal weapon, can't find weapons in the shop except every 3 shops (starting at shop 4) a 'Legendary' weapon appears, and at the end of waves a percentage (1-5%) of his money turns into health and melee/etc. Shop prices are increased by 25%, Dodge modifier decreased by 25%. Percent Damage increases as current health (raw, not percentage) decreases.

This weapon might also be very good on Lich. 3 Damage every second and always healing on attack help that dude out a lot.

The regeneration doesn't double the hp per second, it means you heal 2 hp instead of 1
