OMG! I just told my husband last night I can’t watch Everybody Loves Raymond, it actually makes me anxious with all the clutter and the refrig magnets on that show just kills me 😂

An unmade bed can cause the cleanest, neatest bedroom to look messy and cluttered. I now know why my mother insisted the beds be made before we left for school!

One great idea I saw was to have a frame for each child in the house and display their artwork only in the frames. Typically you can even stack several one behind another and rotate them to the front of the frame. Framing them gives them status and neatness.
For me it’s my dining room/kitchen chairs. I need them to be all pushed in nice and neat. Even if other things need picked up… having the chairs where they belong helps me. Also beds being made. And 100% agree with the counters and pillows and blankets on the couch.
I am awful about not keeping plants alive, but I have a Christmas cactus that I have kept alive for over 10 years! Very easy to manage, just water when you think about it and keep it in the house where it can get some sunlight. Have a blessed day!😊
I no longer like a cluttered refrigerator front. However, I am caretaker for my 89 year-old mom and she loves her magnets. So, they stay. LOL
First thing I do when I get up before coffees even is make the beds, my Mother use to say it is bad luck to leave the house with an unmade bed! Also I never understood the fridge clutter thing! I can’t stand when people have tons of pictures and artwork and magnets on it, looks so cluttered to me! Great advice!
I like my fridge covered with drawings and pictures of my kids and family. And the first time I washed it I scratched the front of the fridge up so it's a good thing I like it lol
Another tip for tea towels is to place them on top of the microwave if you have one that is hidden under the bench top! Keeps them out of sight but easily accessible - same for cutting boards!
pothos plants are the way to go. they are super easy to care for. I water mine once a week, and I fertilize them with indoor plant food once a month.
Here is a simple idea I embrace for kitchen & bath. I store dry & liquid items in clear jars without labels. It's surprising how colorful labels catch the eye and add to a cluttered look.
Pathos is a plant that is easy to take care of. It loves secondary light from a window or a door. Each day I open my front door & my pathos loves that light, even in the Winter!
I literally just cleared off my fridge before watching your video. And strangely it’s been full of pictures and magnets and somehow didn’t bother me before. But now that I’m on a decluttering journey it stood out like a sore thumb lol! I have 5 fish tanks and the wires drive me crazy! I’ll be searching for the “hiders” now!!
My mom lives with us and I hate when people give her plants for gifts because I know I'm going to have to find a place for it and take care of it. For me plants can be an irritant, always silently demanding to be watered or taken care of. 😆
I am the same I appreciate it when my husband buys me flowers once in awhile lol but then I have to move something in order to put the flowers! I’m not a flower fan!

Oh the cushions on the couches! I love them but our dog always tosses them onto the floor. Ditto throw rugs! My couches are showing signs of wear and I am not sure which annoys me more- the wear and tear or sloppy throws.

I get your thing about a crowded refrigerator. I'm just as irritated by their totally cluttered kitchen counters. It is totally obvious that they don't or can't cook in that mess.
Pathos is a great plant that's very easy to grow. Love this video.

I do not store anything under or on top off furniture. Including under my bed. Just that makes such a huge difference.
Rhododendron! Ivy! Fern! I used to have a black thumb, but my those plants are now thriving!!!! They just needed plenty of sunlight & talking to. 💕💕💕
Lucky Bamboo is very easy to care for! It grows in water (I use filtered water) and very low light. It is very compact, upright plant that doesn't sprawl :). ALWAYS enjoy your videos!
Dust on baseboards and door/window frames. Grime on faucet nozzles, dust on ac vents. I could go on hahaha
I used to have loads of magnets on my freezer. In the end I took them all off & it made such a difference.
I completely agree about having tidy worktops. When mine are untidy it really stresses me out.
Finger prints on windows doors or the fridge drive me nuts!!!

Adds to the “noise” of the room. I also remember what one RUclipsr said that messy drawers and cabinets are called “silent to do lists” and even when they are not visual - I can feel the stress when I open them or anyone lol opens them. Now I keep the inside of my drawers and Cabinets as minimal and organized as possible so outside and inside doesn’t have that slight irritating hummm of a mess

OK, you inspired me to take the small George Foreman grill off my kitchen counter! I want to keep it, but do not use it very often, so will store it elsewhere. Now this seems so obvious, but did not think about it before!

I cleared a shelf on a small bookcase in our living room and placed magazines in the newly vacant shelf. Then I removed the small round table that previously housed the magazines to another room. It made quite the difference because there was less furniture taking up space.

I really like my fridge magnets. We had a house move and I was very sorry to lose the magners. Aa regards them causing visual clutter it's not noticable as our house is so messy anyway! 😲
Carpet and rug stains drive me insane, or any furniture stain for that matter LOL I hadn't thought about the throw pillows and blankets being silent irritants before, but it makes sense!

I got rid of all the throw pillows and throw blankets in my living room because I got tired of the kids always leaving them everywhere. I don't have any throw pillows in my house now and the only throw blankets are the ones that the kids have on their beds.
I put all of my magnets on the outside of my garage door. It's metal, and I ca. See them when I go in my house from the car, but they're ot cluttering refrigerator.

No plants since cats are kinda jerks sometimes 🤣 and allot can be deadly if they eat them. I DO have a hydroponic growing system room that they try to sneak into and chew on all my veggies. I forgot to close the door a time or two and 1 of the 2 stinkers ate the lettuce from ALL NINE of my growing systems!
Spider plants are very easy to keep alive. Currently I don't have any house plants because my cats eat them. 🙄
I have 2 cats that pretty much live in our blinds, they break the blinds, but only half...my husband will leave it hang for days, until I say something.

How do you attach chore charts to inside cabinets? I could do that, but I just have them in plastic sleeves that my kids use dry erase markers on to check off every day. I wouldn't want the cabinet to get marker on it, not knowing if it would come off (they sometimes mark on the fridge but it's easy to wipe off).
I think it’s 3M that makes tiny little clips with adhesive. You could use those and clip your chore charts under them or put the clips on top and on the bottom and just pull it out when you need to change some thing. They are awesome! Just make sure they won’t damage your cabinet before you use them!
Pothos is the only house plant I have ever been able to keep alive.
I hate the cluttered look of a bunch of papers stuck on the fridge.

I am such a visual person if it's not out it ceases to exist. I can guess you are definitely not a butterfly (clutterbug style) since visual clutter bothers you. I want to see all my stuff

I must admit I slightly cringe when I see a youtubers kitchen and it all looks lovely and there is a tea towel..I don’t know if that is a British term and you call then hand towel..that you would dry the dishes with..I forgot what you called it ..but anyway if I see a nice tidy kitchen and the tea towel is brown and scorched and just looks dirty I cringe a bit 👀 lol . 🇬🇧💛🤍
We call them tea towels in the American South. I am with you in that….tea towels aren’t expensive. Just treat yourself every year or so!
