When Muay Thai Legends Enter Flow State

- Nine Muay Thai legends who entered a state of flow to control and dominate their opponents (flow state martial arts).
Flow state or “being in the zone” is a mental state whereby the individual performing the activity is fully immersed in a feeling of energised focus, complete involvement, and enjoyment in the process of the activity. Essentially, flow is characterised by the total absorption of what one does, and the resulting loss in one’s sense of time and space.
Jeanne Nakamura and Csíkszentmihályi identified six factors that encompass an experience of flow:
Intense and focused concentration on the present moment
Merging of action and awareness
A loss of reflective self-consciousness
A sense of personal control or agency over the situation or activity
A distortion of temporal experience, one's subjective experience of time is altered
Experience of the activity as intrinsically rewarding
Those aspects can appear independently of each other, but only in combination do they constitute a so-called flow experience. Additionally, Kendra Cherry added three other components that Csíkszentmihályi lists as being a part of the flow experience:
Immediate feedback
Feeling the potential to succeed
Feeling so engrossed in the experience, that other needs become negligible

I want people to appreciate how tenacious Jaroensap is .
For anyone who isn't aware Jaroensap Kiatbanchong is one of the most underrated fighter in Golden Era .
His style isn't fancy but he is complete .
A master technician but also one of the best in the clinch .
He was a Muay Femur/Khao hybrid , so revered for his fighting IQ as for his heart and relentlessness .
His nickname is "Diamond heart" .
Dekkers claimed he won fighter of the year in 1992 but in reality it was Jaroensap who won dying that year and not Dekkers .
In fact Dekkers didn't qeaaeven win foreign fighter of the year .
Look at how in this fight Jaroensap is struggling as hell and yet ... He never Gave up at all even in the last second of the fight before the referee stopped he never wanted to lose .
That is something that people doesn't notice that often is how insane the willpower and heart of those all time legends of Muay Thai posses .
BTW Dekkers fought against Jaroensap but the footage is yet to be found , the result is unknow ... Both guys got diamond in their nickname .

Long time ago there used to be "Muay Thai highlights" programme on Thai TV (Channel 7) which was aired every Tuesday night around 10 pm - featuring a famous commentator Phitsanu Nil-glad. Most of the footages here are from that programme. I supposed Channel 7 still has all of it and perhaps they compiled them into VCDs or something. It's credit MTS for being able to find those treasures. But I think Channel 7 still has all of the originals.
