If I’ve said it once, I’ll say it again. Your creativity and happiness shines through every creative project you’ve been doing Helen. 🧡 Oo, one thing you could do for your outside light, you could get a smart bulb for it. Then it can be controlled via an app, which you can set up a schedule (I have my lights on a schedule on at 8pm, off at 12am). Or get Alexa to switch the lights on, you can just use the app as a light switch too. That way you wouldn’t need to use the internal light switch in the dining room, you just leave it switched “on”. (Then like you say you could make a door for the light switch just in case the bulb ever stop working). What you’re great at doing is bringing dimensions to rooms, the textiles, the accessories, it gives the room so much depth. Beautiful!
I love the fact you've done so much of it yourself! I live in a 1930's semi but my taste is very midcentury... can't afford a midcentury Californian home (😂) so I've stolen elements and applied it to my home. It oddly works! I'm of the opinion that your space should be exactly how you want it, who cares if it's not in keeping with the original style of the building! Looks fabulous, amazing work! 🎉

Feels like a Scandinavian moved to Arizona and created a hygge retreat for glamorous cowhands.....love it 😍 Also, I thought I was good replacing a toilet seat....you top trumped that and then some 😂💪

I always worried so much about what my family or friends would think about my room (and how it would shape their opinion of me), and its only made me make a space that doesn't feel like me anyway. Been in the process of donating and replacing decor with unique things that suit my interests more regardless of what others may think, and I'm already soooo much more happy with it :)
