Is this like Uncharted Waters? Cos i loved that on the SNES
Uhh...I only played Uncharted Waters Online & Uncharted Waters Origin before, I checked UW2 battles and.....I only can tell:
This Game (Seablip):
• You only able to use 1 ship in battle & it's a 1ship vs 1ship with crews that you can control like repair ship weapons or firing ship weapons or fix the leaking hole or boarding enemy ship etc, there's no provision consumption, no cannonballs consumption, you can heal your crew in battle but only if you do placed a healing cabin in advanced.
• Depends on how large your ship is = you get max 4 crews + your captain which means total of 5 crews, your crew will die but you can revive them using gold in your own island by visiting a npc. Crews can level up & able to increase their stats with given points. Crews can learn up to 2 randomize skills, each times you will be given 2 choices of 2 random skills & you can to decide which 1 is the best for you.
• Ship Weapons contain both normal & fantasy version of cannons, you can craft or buy or loot them from enemies ship if you're lucky. Some combination of elements like poison gas + fire could produce explosion on board of the ship. Yes, you can fire these elements using cannons or dump some barrels that has the element and it will float to enemy ships. You can even use birds to drop fire bombs on enemy ship if you install the special tools.
• Every ship will have their own size of slots for tools or weapons installment. There's less than 25 ships to buy or capture, including Bounty Boss's ship(if you are lucky or just play boarding & kill all their crews)
• The Map is rather small compare to UW & it's not yet finalize(still in development, aka early access).
• Story & some mission still under development.
• Game sets in fantasy world of Human Reds Faction vs Blues Faction, with Kraken, bounty boss, hidden treasures and Undead(Skeletons)
• You have your own private island & some feature still in development & not available yet....like, you can build your own fort & enemy will raid your island & attacking your fort.
So....I believe the answer is: It's 2 different game if you ask me whether there's a similarity between this game & Uncharted Waters.
So, what do you think about the game? Was it fun? I am curious if i should play it myself
It's fun in it's own way, your ship will sunk a lots, your crews will died a lots and luckily you can revive them via paying money a lots too. But once you get hang of the game, you will find some charms in it.
Just that....it's still in early access, while most weapons or special tools for your ship, can be bought or loot from enemy or crafts by finding blueprints & hope you're lucky to unlock the thing you want for your ship, some ship, even the ship use by bounty boss can be captured for your own usage, but....some quest, part of towns, part of the map, still need developer's work & he's another 1 man solo developer again.
Anyway, short answer will be, It's fun but you might have this feeling of "if only there's more contents for this game at the moment" to fully enjoyable.
