We were there from 12th to 19th June - a return trip 50 years after our honeymoon there! We went up Snaefell on 17th, and to Ramsey and back on 18th. We used "Go" cards which give unlimited travel on all forms of transport across the island for a set number of days. We also went on several buses, the steam train and the horse tram!

Now that's a bit different. Nice to see how the trams work. As you say OK in the tourist season but must make a bit of a loss when they've all gone home. Well done Mr Boogie 🤓

They don't run between November and March.

@aimdrummer. I didn't realise that. Makes sense. We took the bus back from Ramsey to Douglas as my back wasn't up to the hard ride all the way in one go.

Looks like you had a good time on the IOM . We're you there for their transport week? As you can book on tours around all the workshops. Hope you said hello to the Faries!

It was just a random few days on the island. Not aware of any special transport events but we did say hello to the fairies.

@BoogiesTrains well worth looking into it.
Did not do this year. But done 2022 & 2023. Visit included Douglas shed on the steam railway. On the electric railway. Derby Castle and Laxey Shed. Also, Snefell Shed on the mountain line.
Did a bus tour round the remaining stations on the closed Manx Northern lines to Peel and Ramsey.
Plus, there are other bits. You need to contact the Tourist Office to see what they are doing next year. Think you will enjoy it.
