You can actually start an approach regardless of reported cloud ceiling and visibility even if they are reported below minima. You can not continue an approach past the outer marker or equivalent point or 1000 feet if outer marker/equivalent point does not exist. But great report and video regardless!
Of course, that's much more accurate. But I hope you dont expect me to explain to aviation fans what is an outer marker, RVR etc. The same applies to the fact that I've said that we had to hold, nothing about the VOR (I think I didnt put it 😅). I would receive not less than 10 questions asking to explain what a VOR is.

Muchas gracias! La gran mayoría de aeropuertos cuenta con el llamado ILS (Instrumental Landing System) que, básicamente, te guía hasta la pista en condiciones de muy baja visibilidad. En función de la precisión del ILS, éstos se dividien en 3 Categorías: I, II, y III. El Categoría III, a su vez se divide en A, B, C, en función de su mayor o menor precisión, dentro de que ya es muy preciso. El único que permite aterrizaje totalmente automático es el Categoría III. Vigo tiene un Categoría III, pero desde hace unas semanas está operando como un Categoría II por algún motivo que desconozco. Es decir, ofrece menos precisión. El Categoría II (al igual que el Cat. I) requiere que el piloto vea la pista a una altitud mínima, es decir, guía al piloto con cero visibilidad hasta ese punto. Si en ese punto de mínima altitud el piloto no ve la pista, debe frustar la aproximación. Y eso es lo que estaba causando la niebla: que no se fuese a ver la pista en esa altitud mínima. Si se sabe que eso está ocurriendo antes de iniciar la aproximación final, entonces, directamente, ya no se inicia y se decide si esperar o irse a un aeropuerto alternativo.

This one is still a normal -800, but inside they look similar to the MAX I think. This video was edited how it came from the camera. CAn you feel the over-saturation? (Specially on the red tones). Between IBE and AEA I guess I would pick Iberia, because they offer more destinations. But IBE doesn't have anything similar to these new B737s with SkyInterior. Maybe the NEO... but for sure they don't have screens, for example.

I hope I'll get the NEO on my next Iberia flights, since the booking shows A320 Sharklets. I know it doesn't mean NEO, but never say never...
Yep, on this one, I didn't modify anything. Basically because when recording at night, the colours are almost as they should. Well, the city lights are over-saturated, but you can think that they are like that in reality, so there's no big reason to modify the colours. The problems are with the red/orange tones, including the people skin. I've been already testing the colours in 1080p 60 fps and they are normal! haha I won't need to be one clip by one repairing them. That will cut around 2 to 3 hours the editing time per video. So now there's no doubt with the resolution of the next video. Oh, I almost forgot... I must warn you that the Iberia webpage shows all A320 like "A320 Sharkets". So you can perfectly get a normal A320. Nonetheless, around 10 of them (including the 2 NEO) are equipped with Sharklets. The IBE A320 fleet is just 18 units, 2 of them NEO, so your chances are still bigger than with LH or EZY, for example.

It's not only about the plane (qualified systems), but the crew and the ground equipment. Any unavailability on those makes it not possible to make an autoland.

Las landing lights sólo se usan para ver la pista cuando se está en ella o en el momento del aterrizaje. No tienen absolutamente ninguna otra función. Los aviones de aerolínea son siguiente reglas de vuelo instrumental, es decir, desde el momento en el que se despegan las ruedas del suelo, el vuelo puede hacerse tapando todas las ventanillas de cabina. No hace ver nada fuera hasta el momento de llegar a la altitud mínima cuando se va aterrizar. Vigo tiene un ILS cat. III, que permite el autolanding, pero desde hace un par de semanas se ha degradado su precisión a cat. II, que requiere que se vea la pista a una determinada altitud para poder continuar con el aterrizaje. Supongo que pronto volverá a estar operativo en Cat. III.
Hago todas las semanas este trayecto con Air Europa y en 7 meses de lunes Madrid-Vigo y miércoles Vigo-Madrid, y nunca me tocó ese avión. Cogiendo el de ida el primero de la mañana y de vuelta el último.

Sí, las esperas se programan en la FMC del avión (una especie de ordenador para la navegación) y se hacen con el piloto automático. Sobre el ILS, solo el ILS de categoría 3 permite aterrizajes automáticos en condiciones de nula visibilidad. Para CAT I y CAT II el piloto tiene que tener la pista a la vista a un mínimo de distancia. Saludos!
Las esperas se pueden hacer perfectamente a mano, lo que no quita que en un vuelo de aerolínea con pasajeros las haga el piloto automático. En Vigo, el ILS tiene catergoría III, pero desde hace un par de semanas, su precisión se ha degradado a categoría II, lo que no permite el aterrizaje automático, de ahí que a una altitud mínima se deba tener a la vista la pista.

Me encantaría volar en el CRJ1000 de Binter... pero el precio para no residentes no es muy barato... y mi presupuesto ya sabéis que es limitado. Estoy pensando en hacer una serie de vídeos de 3-4 minutos resolviendo curiosidades y dudas de aviación, pero hasta que termine al 100% con la licencia no creo que lo haga. Cosa que, si todo va bien, ocurrirá la semana que viene jaja Luego me quedará el MCC en Madrid, pero puede decirse que lo difícil terminaría la semana que viene. Realmente no se inició el tramo de aproximación final, por lo que no fue un go-around a los que estamos habituados. Frustrar sí que se frustró la aproximación, pero de forma muy light podríamos decir jaja

I thought all planes were allowed to make zero visability landings nowadays. But I guess I am wrong... Well, the sunrise makes for an excelent video!

Hago todas las semanas este trayecto con Air Europa y en 7 meses de lunes Madrid-Vigo y miércoles Vigo-Madrid, y nunca me tocó ese avión. Cogiendo el de ida el primero de la mañana y de vuelta el último.
A qué te refieres con que nunca te tocó este avion? Air Europa? Con esta pintura? O esta matrícula? 😅

El precio de los billetes no lo pongo porque no me gusta hablar de dinero en el canal. Si en algún caso se quiere saber en concreto, siempre se puede preguntar en comentarios. En cualquier caso, se pueden saber los precios mirando los precios de la ruta en la web de la aerolínea... tan sólo hay que buscar para 1 mes más adelante, que es lo que suelo hacer yo. ;)

I use just my phone. Anything else.
Many RUclipsrs use some kind of suction holder, but I don't. I don't like to just put the camera on the window and forget about it...

Haha Well, usually I use my other arm as a support for the elbow of the arm with which I'm recording. I think now you can make an idea how I put myself. hehe

Muy buen video. Dos preguntas en las esperas el piloto automático está activado? Y aunque haya niebla no se puede aterrizar con ILS?
Sí, las esperas se programan en la FMC del avión (una especie de ordenador para la navegación) y se hacen con el piloto automático. Sobre el ILS, solo el ILS de categoría 3 permite aterrizajes automáticos en condiciones de nula visibilidad. Para CAT I y CAT II el piloto tiene que tener la pista a la vista a un mínimo de distancia. Saludos!
Las esperas se pueden hacer perfectamente a mano, lo que no quita que en un vuelo de aerolínea con pasajeros las haga el piloto automático.
En Vigo, el ILS tiene catergoría III, pero desde hace un par de semanas, su precisión se ha degradado a categoría II, lo que no permite el aterrizaje automático, de ahí que a una altitud mínima se deba tener a la vista la pista.

Por cierto, un preguntas y respuestas o contando un poco sobre el tema de pilotos. Qué algunos estamos empezando y tenemos en buena estima tu opinión/experiencia
Me encantaría volar en el CRJ1000 de Binter... pero el precio para no residentes no es muy barato... y mi presupuesto ya sabéis que es limitado.
Estoy pensando en hacer una serie de vídeos de 3-4 minutos resolviendo curiosidades y dudas de aviación, pero hasta que termine al 100% con la licencia no creo que lo haga. Cosa que, si todo va bien, ocurrirá la semana que viene jaja Luego me quedará el MCC en Madrid, pero puede decirse que lo difícil terminaría la semana que viene.
Puedo hacer un preguntas y respuestas, sin duda. De hecho, quizás podría hacerlo en directo... Sería mi primer directo, asusta un pocoo jajaja Qué opinas?

Realmente no se inició el tramo de aproximación final, por lo que no fue un go-around a los que estamos habituados. Frustrar sí que se frustró la aproximación, pero de forma muy light podríamos decir jaja
