after working on and off since early june, i present to y'all: my vocal cover of The Mind Electric by Miracle Musical

okay so around two years ago, i stumbled upon this song and have been dying to post a full vocal cover of it here! i've sung this song plenty of times on smule, but i wasn't able to post to youtube because of the lack of instrumental. once i found the official instrumental (listed below) i went straight to work. i'm super proud of this one, and i hope you all like it as much as i do!!

A Possesive Mask Well the voices are heavily edited to get the right robotic effects, but as far as I know, they didn’t change the pitch of their voice.

yeah that part is really neat because it's the same melody as the last part but shifted into a major key, then it stays in the same key signature but heads back into minor. It's super neat

Was just about to comment this! I think the fact that the vocals are sung in key and not transposed up gives it the power it needs to really satisfy the feeling the lyrics convey. Nonetheless, the song is an absolute masterpiece and I always listen start to finish.

This is so much more than a cover!!!! This is the spiritual successor to the original!!! After being on this Earth for 17 years and listening to countless songs, and The Mind Electric being my favorite of all time, I can most definitely say you've done Gods work here, heheh. I dropped my jaw at LEAST 6 times whilst watching!
Wow! This is probably my favorite cover! My favorite part of the song has always been at 1:42 to 2:32. And I just absolutely LOVED how you added the background vocals throughout that part. Especially due to the fact that the background lyrics are from the demo. I just love everything about this cover. Excellent work.

typically with tally hall/related covers i almost always hate them, people can never get their voices right as most of the songs were made with joe hawleys voice in mind. you actually nailed this cover pretty well

At first, I just thought that this was just the demo of the mind electric but I just realised now that it's just a vocal cover-
I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW THIS WAS A COVER UNTIL I READ THE DESCRIPTION. I mean, sure, it sounded different, but HOLY FUCK dude. I was not expecting that, I just thought it was a different release by the same people; I read the comments and was so wonderfully confused that when I read the description I was entirely blown away. I'm amazed. Keep it up, this is a wonderful piece.
