I totally forgot to include this in my follow up videos. I will have to make another where we discuss it. For now, I have been using this website for license keys for a very, very long time. I've never had an issue. I recommend it highly as a trusted source: www.productkeys.com/?s=windows+10&post_type=product&product_cat=0 Most of these keys are resold corporate licenses, which is fine, but they can expire after a few years now and again. When it does, you simply buy a new one for another $10. Great resource as long as you understand what you are getting. This has been my personal activation method for as long as I can remember.

if anyone faced this window (UEFI Interactive Shell v2.2) here is the solution ,, Before this Window appears, the message (press any key to boot from CD or DVD) is shown for a few seconds. Press any Key as long as that message is shown and Windows Installation will start. it will take 2-5 minutes to set up then.
Anyone reading this 2024 - after countless of tries, I went open UTM Galllery > Window 10 option > Troubleshoot > Boots into EFI shell instead of Windows installer > READ "Note that arm64 is for Apple Silicon and amd64 is for Intel." So I delete my old VM and created a new one. Follow same instruction but highlight ARM64 for my macbook pro M1, now its loading. I guess I might of missed that and selected AMD. Will stay black for a few minutes as it load....
Thank you! UTM's own instructions got me nowhere, but this way worked on the first try on my M3 Pro MBP. Slooooow, but it works. (I think the things that made the difference were in the few VM settings you tweaked, and the use of the ISO downloaded from Microsoft rather than the one downloaded with CrystalFetch.) Thank you!!

Check the "Network" settings inside the Windows 10 VM "Properties" section. There should be a few options in there to play with to get the network passthrough working. That's where I would start.

In my windows laptop I can run two virtual machine simultaneously but in Mac I need to emulate those architecture so am confuse. But I heard mac have good RAM management so I guess it should work. But still I like to hear from you. Am thinking to save few bucks in storage by not going for 512 GB SSD and will buy external SSD and store those emulate virtual machines in SSD. Hey there I was looking for a way to just emulate Windows 10 on M2 and discovered that Ezcad software is not required to install UTM or any other steps. Ezcad seems to be only for those who are into CAD CAM Software. Hope it helps Cheers!
If you are getting this message the program you're trying to install is 64-bit and you've installed a 32-bit version of windows. Check your processor settings, make sure you're emulating a 64-bit processor and make sure your copy of windows you're installing is a 64-bit version of windows.
@@sergisanchezgonzalez5919 notifications came in handy. So it worked but I have to point out. I use Gradle to make my builds and spinning up the packageDistributionRelease was a pain. I crashed almost everytime, but running a project (dev/release) worked okay. I had a 16gb ram M2 Mac 13" touchbar 2022 version. I tested it as well on a 2018 MacBook Air 4gb. That's Intel and all ran without crashes. So just know his configuration is correct but architecture emulation might not handle heavy IO processes
On an M series Mac you could install Windows on ARM and it will virtualize and run quite a bit quicker. It will still run x86 based apps using the Windows ARM translator (like how the Mseries Macs use Rosetta 2 to run intel apps on M). Did you try this for your M1 MacBook Pro? Works quite quickly and smoothly on mine.
Windows on ARM is fine but Ezcad 2 will require x86 drivers to function and those are incompatible with Windows on ARM, thus for most of our viewerbase this method will be necessary for Apple Silicon.
You can use the Installation Media Tool to generate an ISO file that meets your requirements, there is more info in the FAQ on this page where the tool is downloadable. Link: www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

Something in your VM Properties was changed after the OS finished installing. Could be anything from the amount or type of RAM to the type of processor or number of cores you are emulating. My recommendation would be to reinstall and make sure those properties remain unchanged after setup is complete.

Couldn’t you just use light burn for Mac? Maybe a driver issue still exists. Another option might be wine/crossover. All of these option would provide better performance (if they work at all).
You could certainly. The main reason in my mind is to perform lens corrections with corfile if you don't have access to a Windows computer so don't have to do them manually on LightBurn. Additionally some automation features in ez2 aren't yet supported in LightBurn and ez3 boards aren't supported at all.
Emulating means rather than using the computers ARM processor to execute x86 instructions (which it can't do) - it literally creates a virtual processor to execute the instructions instead. It's an extremely resource intensive translator.

If this happens, make sure you don't have the iso mounted on MacOS. I had to eject it in finder, for some reason it auto-mounted after downloading.

Check your virtual drives in the VM's Properties area. Each drive should have a drop down, one just may be mis-clicked to empty.

I've tested UTM with hardware drivers successfully so far. Unless you're doing something funky or uncommon it should actually work fairly well.

Forget about anything that needs 3D acceleration, UTM emulation does not support that.

Does AutoCad works with the windows version en MacBook Air?
The emulation is already VERY slow. I wouldn't expect AutoCad to run at anything close to an acceptable speed.
So how am i gonna open the windows again after shutting it down?
Simply running UTM again and selecting the OS will "reboot" the "computer"

It should but I haven't tested it so results/settings may vary. Process SHOULD be the same though.

what do you mean by “emulating” the processor?
Emulating means rather than using the computers ARM processor to execute x86 instructions (which it can't do) - it literally creates a virtual processor to execute the instructions instead. It's an extremely resource intensive translator.

@@oaw2780 it does work, its just it get stucks with the powershell. All you need to do is spam a key once it starts up

It certainly could as long as your system can afford the overhead demand.

How do i switch between Windows and os?
