I don't have many HNT but they are all staked now. Hopefully one day in the future the network will be extremely valuable and in turn will make HNT extremely valuable. Thanks for producing this video, much appreciated 👍
I had worked out how to get SOL on my wallet and then stake & delegate just before your stream started.. Had the same trials and tribulations.. The app/gui devs could learn a whole bunch from watching your full stream.. yes it's "easy" but only when you know how, and quite a few things not very intuitive.
Yeah, to be expected at this early stage. Doesn't make it any less frustrating, although I marvel at all the things they got right that I didn't have to muddle through.
Are the rewards then turned into passive income - or do you restake those to earn more rewards then turn those into passive income or what I mean is cash them into a Coinbase account or robinhood account where u can sell them into cash money
How often do you receive rewards for the sub dao ? Daily ?

Sure, what kind of Hotspot is it? The manufacturer's app is the one you'll need (Bobcat, Sensecap, etc). Does that help?

Hmmm so i think i understand your video. If i stake my hnt.for 4 years it may return me.or us 100x.
I have to do something.i invested alot. I bought 40 machines. And i was only able to deploy 15 of them. 25 sitting on my desk flashing green lights not making me any coins. So im thinking stakeing maybe.my best solution to my problem. Mabe it will motivate me to install the 25 sitting on my desk. 100x sounds like investing in an Altcoin. ✌️
How does locking tokens and delegating them increase your earnings ?
Locking gives you voting power, delegating gives you earnings.
when you get rewards.... the amount of locked tokens come back also ? whats the choice i use to take my tokens out of stack ? the delegade ??
I'm not sure I understand what you mean. You'll need to unlock your tokens out of the stake, and depending on the type of stake you chose it may be 6 months before you can access them. You do it all in the Helium black app, through the globe token at the bottom right.
i put one for 20days ... if i unlocked them in the 3rd day for example..i will have immidiate access ? @@thegristleking
I have mainnet selected, have migrated my wallet, have SOL in my wallet, but when I go to realms, helium wallet is not an option. What do I do?
Hi Micah, I've seen that same thing. As silly as it sounds, just going back out of the app, closing it, and re-downloading or updating it from the iOS or Android store may solve this.
hey! so what about constant vs cliff?
CONSTANT - If you stake and choose 1 year.. your voting rights remain at the top level.. when you want to un-stake you have to wait 1 year to get your HNT back. (i THINK also your voting power depletes during that last year) CLIFF - You choose 2 years say, and your voting power depletes slowly to nothing and after the 2 years you get your HNT back. (someone please correct me if I am wrong)

1.What is happend If i delegate. Do i receive the specific token (IOT/mobile) ??
2. What If i dont delegate? Do i receive HNT ?
If you delegate your veHNT to a subDAO (either MOBILE or IOT), you'll receive tokens from that subDAO. If you don't delegate, nothing else happens. In no case will you receive additional HNT. Watch this for more info on it: ruclips.net/user/shorts-lCGR3RTBLs
Hello, how long is the cooldown period after undelegating the staked HNT?
I don't think the staking cooldown period and the delegation are related. Staking is for veHNT and delegation earns you tokens in subDAOs. You can delegate and undelegate as you like. You may be thinking of Cliff vs Constant staking. Cliff is when you know the term up front, Constant is when you set a specific cooldown term but you retain full voting power (veHNT) until you start that term, at which point voting power starts to decrease and the cooldown period begins. Does that help?

@@Alegriax You can earn extra tokens by first staking and then delegating. You'll get full access to the staked HNT at the end of the staking period (which you'll set.) All the docs on it are here: grstl.ink/solana-migration

If we didn't manage to transfer HNT to the wallet, can we still recover them? It is about 204 HNT and as far as I understand binance has suspended their transfer.

Does steaking IOT generate rewards?
I'm playing with things a bit on my end and I have done a steak for HNT and another for IOT. I was able to delegate my HNT and now it shows I can "Claim Rewards". After steaking IOT, I see the voting power I received, but I don't see any way to claim rewards. I also don't see a way to delegate the IOT steak position, but I was just assuming it was automatically delegated to IOT DAO.
Some clarity on this would be awesome! I read through all the documentation and didn't see this explained anywhere. Tried to do a quick search on Discord and couldn't find anything either.
Well, when you stake HNT you get voting power (veHNT). You can then "delegate" that veHNT to a subDAO and earn MOBILE or IOT tokens for that delegation. Does that make sense?
I get that you can stake HNT to get voting power via veHNT and that you can delegate that veHNT to the subDAO to earn MOBILE or IOT. The thing I'm confused about is if you stake IOT or MOBILE. Does that only give you voting rights for the respective subDAO; no rewards associated with staking them?

You don't get anything but voting power for staking. You receive tokens from a subDAO for delegating your stake to the subDAO. I haven't calculated that APR, my guess is it's so wildly varied as to be an useful number.

@@dayzclips9093 depends on a bunch of things; how many other folks delegate how much HNT to IOT or MOBILE. Kind of unpredictable right now.
How do we use voting powers
When a vote comes up you'll vote through your wallet, and depending on how much you have staked/delegated your vote will count for more or less.

Not much. It should show you in the app when you go to stake, but I haven't paid a ton of attention to it.

Correct. This was shot 11 months before your comment, when we initially transitioned from Helium L1 to Solana. It is out of date.
