Im a locksmith and fitted 3 of these to a house - One of them failed after about 14 months of very light use ( not the main door) and the rest have a very rough action as the keys dont seem to be cut precisley I contacted Ultion and they were not interested in replacing the broken one - Iv fitted thousands of euro cylinders from the cheapest to the most expensive and never had a problem with any of them - these have a very rough action and the end of the key is very sharp they are probably the worst locks I have fitted and I wont be fitting any more - I keep the broken one in the van to show customers - I certainly wont be dealing with them again - in my opinion pure crap !
bernie129locksmith Not sure I believe you? Who did you speak to? The two failures I've had (a shot blaster with a slightly bent key, and the wrong key twisted off in the lock with pliers) were resolved next day with replacement parts!
I have had these locks fitted for 18 months now. Agreed it's a bit fiddly getting the key in, but it's no big deal. I joke that the lock is so secure it's even tricky to open with the key! It's a small price to pay for such a good lock.
@@GambitXJS Looks the part but they are extremely easy to pick and dont have the security as advertised - i dont fit them because of customer complaints - Also you have to lubricate them with Ultions own lubricant to keep the warranty !
I live in a flat and the front door is the only way in. What would happen if you came home and found the lock in the same condition, would a lock smith be able to open the door? Guessing the key would no longer work from the outside.
TheDutyPaid You'd be correct, you would need a locksmith. You'd also need a locksmith if the burglar had got through a lesser lock and raided your flat, but you would also need a new TV and laptop.
Very irresponsible video. Literally showing burglars how to attempt break in. This is just bad marketing and the number of snapped handles since this has increased. It's not the cylinder that fails it's the handle. Fit a cylinder guard and job done.

Bluntest and largest drill bit available aha. I use the abs on my projects I prefer there keys and polish finish.
I try and talk people out of fitting abs or ultion or whatever. A regular snap resistance lock will do
i was looking into getting these ultion locks but this is a load of rubbish why bother with a drill when it can be picked or bumped open in seconds
+Mark Simmons It cant be picked or bumped.
or drilled
I plug pull them in about 20 secs. Anything can be broken into.
@@stevedon4257 the Lockpicking lawyer picked it and so did Michael Maynard...
don't really care lol
@@stevedon4257 that kinda answers another question.
Would be a lot faster to simply pick it.
Nope.
@@andycwb you can't pick a ultion in 2mins 50 seconds?
@@alexread7140 Well it was 9 seconds to snap it, so I doubt you could pick that fast.
@@andycwb yeah this video isn't to highlight that cylinder the video and my comment was about the 3 * ultion
But anyway yes lots of standard cylinders can be picked in seconds so ... maybe maybe not be alot quieter as well
Lol picked in minutes. These locks

Well actually the theives already know how. Most ignorant customers don't so.
Cylinder guards, do they require more modifications to the door?
The bad guys already know this.
