I’m a Wemby fan but I think people need to relax with the expectations. I think it will do him more harm than good sooner or later. Feels like the media piling up all these expectations on him is like setting him up for failure.
PATFO will not allow Wemby to go hard in his first few seasons, they'll preserve him for the long haul in his career!!! I think the expectations are wayyy over board for a kid that's just beginning his career!! They'll let him have his way later, but right now isn't the time!! Let's get the right pieces for him first, then we'll see what happens, but for now fans should just sit back & enjoy seeing his progress and cherish the moments, because I cherished & enjoyed every moment of Duncan, Parker & Ginobili's careers!! With all the open looks Vassell and Barnes get this year, the Spurs are likely to be the highest scoring team in the league. Their defense could be quite good, too with Sochan complementing Wemby and Castle helping with the second team. With CP3 backed by Wemby on defense, the Spurs could be formidable. Combine better than average defense with the highest scoring team, andthere is no limit to how far they go THIS year.
if good handler give wemby easy shot, wemby become strong scorer. Last year, he doesn't get much good pass, usually he make it by himself with tough way.
They need to add a best defensive team trophy to avoid these conflicts..just cause you have the best defensive team doesn’t mean you have the best dpoy
He averaged 28 pts in the last 35 games. It is possible, but we will see. In the Olympic games, he only faced more tuff defense. In the NBA it is a softer league. He will be a Top 10 player and will get talks about best player!
