- Trying out a Friday release! Maybe that will work better for my schedule in the future-- WE SHALL SEE.
I've said it before and I'll say it again-- if you haven't read Saunders, you're missing out. This is satire for people who don't care for satire. Short stories for people who don't care for short stories. In this collection, he highlights the terrifying effects of capitalism and consumerism in American society. The stories are wild and imaginative but also waaaay too real. I loved this book and I hope you check it out!

Thanks for this video! I have never heard of George Saunders. He has brilliant insights on our society!!!
Loved the sarsaparilla mirror. Seems like the appropriate remedy for "hopelessness"... Happy birthday in California.
"Witness for the Prosecution & other Stories" by Agatha Christie. This takes you outside her primary characters and has some surprises as well. I don't think her short stories have ever gotten much publicity.
Hi Saoirse. I’ve watched many of your book reviews over the years. Just wondered: is Villette sill your favourite book to date? I’ve just finished Jane eyre which I savoured by reading two pages a day. The reason I ask is because the three reviews are four years ago for Villette. Things may have changed. Kevin uk
Hi! Villette has been my favorite book since I first read it in 2014. Hasn’t changed 😄 but I did make a video which I think covered my ten favorites.
I have to say that I really hate it when I stumble upon a review of a book done by charming woman. Makes me wonder why none of the women I know read books. Silly as this comment might be, it's actually about the sad reality I find myself in.
Escape From spiderhead is a movie, a very bad movie. Annie Proulx's Wyoming stories are amazing, like Fine Just the Way it is
