  • A special Friday release to celebrate International Women's Day! Let's take a look at how women were treated in the medieval era and ask ourselves why we still cling to some of these archaic ways of thinking.

I definitely agree with the book and your take on how we need to redo our views on women. Yet many people, both men and women still prefer the old ways of thinking, especially here in the US!!!It is maddening!!

Hi, in the middle of Women’s History in college now, and yes it is pissing me off as expected. I appreciate your comment about fatalism, it is easy to fall into when you are tired from fighting ignorance or even just the acknowledgement of this history 😢
I try to stay in the fight,
And I had this morbid thought when you said “ didn’t anyone raise their hand and say hey! this doesn’t make sense!” That they probably are who ended up getting 🔥 by the town. 😞 Willful ignorance is almost more destructive than just straight up evil. Thanks for your channel and your work and art✌️!

I bought this book after listening to your review and it is wonderful book. For anyone who hasn't read the book it is worth taking the time to listen to Dr Janega talk about her research for the book on podcasts etc so you can carry with you something of her enthusiasm and love of learning with you as you read the book.

Illuminating and yes, ridiculous and repulsive! So proud I raised a young woman who truly understands the importance of feminism and exposure of distorted views of women!!❤️❤️
