theres no interview, if you can count to 1 2 3, then you get a job, i quit delivery after they told me to deliver 1000 packages, starting at 1pm and end at 10pm, it was impossible, especially in a ghetto part of town, where i got bit by a dog and heard gunshots, drove straight to the warehouse, left the keys in the ignition and left.

Your video reminded me of a delivery I received from another company a few years ago. Since the door to my building is locked 24/7 I put a note on the door asking the driver to knock on my window (which was right next to the door) to let me know he was outside. (Thankfully that company did not just leave your package outside the building where anyone could steal it but ensured the package was received by the customer.) I heard a knock on my window and went to the door to get my package and I was flabbergasted. The driver was an incredibly beautiful woman. That bag with one box in it happens all the time because you will have another full bag with the same isle code stickers for that isle in the sort center. The bag got full and was changed out and when sort got done the new bag only had one box in it. Usually when I am doing pick and sort I will combine the bag in the isle with the full one on the end of the isle to avoid giving drivers a bag with one package in it. I will fold the bag up and leave it on the cart for the driver to scan, but they can then leave it at the delivery sort facility and have one less bag in the van, especially during peak.
Is it true that there are cameras in the vans to watch your every move? That some drivers resort to "releasing" in containers because they dont have time to stop by a restroom? This is surely a job for someone in their 20s, a marathon runner or Olympian.
Yes! Ive heard horror stories. Like one of my friends was just moving her phone to a different location so it wouldnt fall and the cameras in the van picked it up and she got in trouble for it. I dont know why people would use bottles tho. IMO if you have to do to the bathroom. Find somewhere a store or whatever to go your dsp might get mad at you but thats there problem.
Your video makes me glad that I only did Amazon Flex for a bit; same job, different program. I actually got the CHOOSE the days I wanted to work. I couldn’t imagine having to put up with all the stress each and every day, at least not without REALLY good pay and benefits. Bezos has enough wealth to do it. I hope you guys get your union.
We had packages and letter packages in our recycle bin a few times.🤔 strange we found out there was a note on our deliveries place items in blue bin. the big Tupperware bin near side door🙄🙄🙄
In the dlivery instructions You put please knock on door when delivering, most of the time the delivery person does not knock, leaving the package so the thief following him around can steal it.
Not going to comment on working conditions with Amazon, but be glad you are not working for the U.S. Postal Service. You could get just as many packages with letter mail on top of that. Then look forward to 600 to 1,000 plus deliveries. That is hard work. The biggest benefit is being on your own, doing your job right, causing no trouble. Even the USPS track their workers on the street.
You may like our DSP in Sarasota. Non peak days I get done with routes 9-5 days with bonus hours when we get done early get paid for the full day. You just have to realize Florida gets hot and raining days during hurricane season.
Wow you people in America so lucky to have jobs like this, Uber taxis amazon flex or package delivery with GPS google maps and all that, all that on your phones with app working days and hour's you like, especially for some one like me this job will be changing my life!! :/ I am living in Greece, the country that almost 18 years now can't escape the freaking economy crisis and when we thought were going to have a break covit19 comes and till now things not good, I am working for food delivery on a motorbike, cold rain snow and hot summers and you mast know the streets names/places to go deliver, (its only now starting the map on the phones thing) that showing you the way, i have not go to collage so my job opportunities is not so great, working 18:0002:00+ every day for a freaking 30euro, So yeah its seems like a very good job to me driving and delivering things and having every thing in my phone showing me where to go and what to deliver what ever hours or days i like, life is crazy unfair, anyways.
I really appreciate your perspective and the hard work you put in every day. Your resilience is inspiring, and I hope you find the opportunities you deserve soon!
I worked at 7up in Philadelphia i ran everything and did every job in factory the worst was lab technician. Each night i had to walk out over a 12 inch in diameter copper water pipe that was 40 feet off the ground and wet. It was main water pipe from well pump. Each night i was alone for 12 hours. If i fell i was dead. $ 12 dollars a hour.

Definitely a job for stories. I did this for 4 years and every day was filled with stories! It was the greatest job I ever had when I started. After 4 years, Amazon made it the worst job I ever had.
Nice video. Just popped up in the algorithm this morning. Nice person, well spoken! I like how you said good morning to everyone. Question. Did you have similar problems with breaks/lunches and bathroom stops as others?
Thank you so much!! AND YES, I would run into these issues all the time. Especially because they would send me to super Ghetto areas or areas way out in the country!
job at amazon its not such hard, ou just carry lite weight packages and just drop them at the door, comparing this to gls or dhl you have to fill forms if person isint at the site or you have to carry furniture at 4th floor
Hey I did similar delivery jobs making less money until I advanced myself into another profession. I needed to pull my weight as a young adult to survive and pay bills.
i kinda wish we started that early. i dont get to my first stop until about noon if im lucky. specially this time of year you get like 4 hours of sunlight at that point tops
4:10 Funny you mentioned Goats, because JUST TODAY, There were 2 Llama's approaching me on one of my deliveries. The Goats were on the other side of this property, lol.
in 2020 they started building a Amazon warehouse in the next town over. It was supposed to open around 2022 so i started looking into management jobs there. After digging around the internet I quickly learned that I would not want to work there (I have over 10 years of warehousing experience). We are days away from 2025 and it's still not opened even though its been completed for about 3 years.
@@SelenaNorinh From what I understand Amazon had tons of DCs built due to the shutdowns increasing orders massively. They likely benefit from tax write off's I would imagine. I have since left warehousing/construction and now do structural drafting and design...which is one of the degrees i graduated with in 2011....guess it took me long enough lol. If you can get into UPS as a driver you absolutely should. The drivers I used to see made absolute bank. Don't do FedEx though...
I understand how you feel. I worked for Amazon back in 2020 after being furloughed from my job. I worked for them only 2 months. The pay was garbage 800 every 2 weeks. No benefits etc. Amazon is trash.
FedEx uses this business model for delivery as well. As a mailman, Amazon contracts USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DSPs as well. However, from the DSP drivers I meet, they're not particularly fond of leadership in the area. DSP leadership gets mad they can't keep people, then get mad because delivery drivers are working ridiculous hours.
Maybe there's some way you can go Union teamsters probably and change things a little bit even get paid for those holidays that's horrible. I'm always on the employee side
Fedex home in Vermont is similar. ENDLESS OT. 2wd vans in snow and ice. Route drivers not showing up so you end up with your route and part of theirs. The pay sucks, no benefits.
I always feel bad when amazon drivers deliver in my town. They have to drive 100 miles north from Saint louis. They might be adding a distribution center across in ill. I hope so. A 200 mile rou d trip plus all the packages seems a bit too much
The Ice Scraper was one that i brought myself because they didnt not have any vans! I think all the vans should have at LEAST an ice scraper and a shovel in them for emergencies
Yea sometimes you have a drive a little way to get the job. Just keep checkin the site because with peak season around the corner something could open up.
Damn I think personally this job is easy for me I never run and rush I just take it calmly but o god this Christmas season It just killing me 410 packages and 210 stops is crazy a normal day for me is 310 packages and 150 stops
Ah yes. A contractor. Being told where to be when to be there and how to do said thing, applying to the company directly, wearing that companies logo and driving with the companies logo on your van. Thats not at all an employee by definition. -A billionaire finding loopholes to not pay their EMPLOYEES the wages and benefits accustomed to employees
So the driver pulled up even with my house and the driver didn't even get out of the van! He just chucked the box over the fence and drove off! Fortunately, it was nothing breakable.
True! If delivering packages were an Olympic sport, I think every delivery driver would be vying for the gold medal in “Dodge the Dog” and “Avoid the Rain!”
@@SelenaNorinh I delivered mail for 22 years. You really had it easy. I had anywhere from 600 to 1,000 deliveries, every day. I had packages, letters and magazines. It was tough. Many made it a good career, others quit the same day they started. At least we had a union, good pay, sick leave and vacation time. Twenty years in the military was a cakewalk compared to the USPS. But we old timers kept on working. We had better work ethics than the younger crowd.
Thank you so much!! And yess making a little waterproof box filling it with snack like chips, cookies, candy and water is a life saver! You can leave the box on your porch where your delivery people will see it with a note! There was also one person I encountered that had a prayer request box which I thought was really sweet too ❤️❤️❤️

I think I would do FLEX as a side job if I had a different car!
We had packages and letter packages in our recycle bin a few times.🤔 strange we found out there was a note on our deliveries place items in blue bin. the big Tupperware bin near side door🙄🙄🙄
I think they're getting mixed up with the recycling instructions!! 🤦♀️😂
😂 interesting stories.. Thank you for sharing.. I enjoyed your video.. Best wishes to you.
Thank you so much! I really appreciate you watching! ❤️
Im defiantly soo glad I dont work for USPS! Im so thankful for the people that do. But I COULD NEVER
You may like our DSP in Sarasota. Non peak days I get done with routes 9-5 days with bonus hours when we get done early get paid for the full day. You just have to realize Florida gets hot and raining days during hurricane season.
OH my goodness Florida should soo nice this time of year!! Im located in Michigan so right now its not the greatest time! Especially for the drivers.
Wow you people in America so lucky to have jobs like this, Uber taxis amazon flex or package delivery with GPS google maps and all that, all that on your phones with app working days and hour's you like, especially for some one like me this job will be changing my life!! :/ I am living in Greece, the country that almost 18 years now can't escape the freaking economy crisis and when we thought were going to have a break covit19 comes and till now things not good, I am working for food delivery on a motorbike, cold rain snow and hot summers and you mast know the streets names/places to go deliver, (its only now starting the map on the phones thing) that showing you the way, i have not go to collage so my job opportunities is not so great, working 18:00 02:00+ every day for a freaking 30euro, So yeah its seems like a very good job to me driving and delivering things and having every thing in my phone showing me where to go and what to deliver what ever hours or days i like, life is crazy unfair, anyways.
I really appreciate your perspective and the hard work you put in every day. Your resilience is inspiring, and I hope you find the opportunities you deserve soon!
I did like the "vibe" It was a very fun upbeat video! Good Luck to you in your future endeavors. =)
Thank you, this means sooo much to me :)
Working for a delivery for Amazon wasn’t for me I went back to being a ramp agent
But again thanks to all the delivery drivers out ther😊e
Ramp Agent is a tough job too! Thank you for your service! 🙏
How is Ramp agent?? Is that really bad as Amazon Driver???
You are still young...work hard its something even if no one noticed and appreciate it its for your self. Its makes you proud of yourself..and that's makes you a strong person who's willing to make a successful career
That's poor person cope.
Reminds me of the orientation for challenge industries. Two days of b.s. along with the lies of not working on every single holiday and a crap load of mandatory overtime.
Selena said "Look at this stack" 😂😂😂 That's crazy. I love the review & am now a subscriber
Thanks for watching! Glad you're enjoying the content!
You did a great job! That was pretty accurate 😂
Haha thank you so much! ❤️
I have been I for amazon dsp for 3 years now. I still sucks also Grateful had this job, too. I still drive the old step van.
Thank you for your service!
Definitely a job for stories. I did this for 4 years and every day was filled with stories! It was the greatest job I ever had when I started. After 4 years, Amazon made it the worst job I ever had.
I can imagine how drastically it must have changed over those 4 years! But yes!! This one is definitely one for the stories
They put me and other new person in van first day neither of us knew not much..he got van stuck in field at 7 pm last package lol
Oh my gosh!! Hahah it’s like the blind leading the blind!
job at amazon its not such hard, ou just carry lite weight packages and just drop them at the door, comparing this to gls or dhl you have to fill forms if person isint at the site or you have to carry furniture at 4th floor
Currently working there it is the worse job and I’m fearing my life every day!
Ohhh nooo!!! Please be safe out there!! 😭
This is a cakewalk compared to delivering mail
Hey I did similar delivery jobs making less money until I advanced myself into another profession. I needed to pull my weight as a young adult to survive and pay bills.
I’m glad you found a better opportunity for yourself though!
Wonderful video. Really enjoyed it.
I’m so glad you liked it! Thank you for watching ❤️
I heard from a couple of friends that used to work at a Amazon warehouse that they treat there employees like garbage ????
I do currently work in an Amazon Warehouse part time and its just a lot of independent work. So days will go by and I didnt talk to a single person.
In phoenix area.. the snow and ice are non existent.. But you get 110F temps
I would take the heat anyday!
@@SelenaNorinh that's why i live here... Weather is awesome 10 months out of the year.
i kinda wish we started that early. i dont get to my first stop until about noon if im lucky. specially this time of year you get like 4 hours of sunlight at that point tops
Yes! Starting Early was such a blessing honestly it I got home at a decent hour.
Loved the little animations
My FAVORITE PARTs!! 😂❤️
I liked this video 😄. Didn’t know this about Amazon drivers!
Im so glad you like it!!! ❤️
Amazon drivers go through some crazy things!
I like your video, but I also would like to know what's going to happen if you are sent to the ghetto area.
4:10 Funny you mentioned Goats, because JUST TODAY, There were 2 Llama's approaching me on one of my deliveries. The Goats were on the other side of this property, lol.
oh my gosh!!! Did you get out your camera and record that! hahah.
@@SelenaNorinh Yes, I did, lol
in 2020 they started building a Amazon warehouse in the next town over. It was supposed to open around 2022 so i started looking into management jobs there. After digging around the internet I quickly learned that I would not want to work there (I have over 10 years of warehousing experience). We are days away from 2025 and it's still not opened even though its been completed for about 3 years.
Wow! That’s insane that it’s still not open!
I deliver for DoorDash, really easy than Amazon, and i also live in Michigan
I did that for a while and really enjoyed it! However my car didn’t…
Great job description 👍
I hope I didn't forget anything! lol
She makes it sound so great. It's not so great there are many cons to the job
Fedex home in Vermont is similar. ENDLESS OT. 2wd vans in snow and ice. Route drivers not showing up so you end up with your route and part of theirs. The pay sucks, no benefits.
RWD in the winter is not it! for real tho! I literally almost cried once cause I got stuck in someones drive way.
I always feel bad when amazon drivers deliver in my town. They have to drive 100 miles north from Saint louis. They might be adding a distribution center across in ill. I hope so. A 200 mile rou d trip plus all the packages seems a bit too much
I can't imagine how tiring that must be!
Great video, I think you should do more about amazon!
Was that your ice scraper or one the com provided? I think a long handle scraper would be better for that van.
The Ice Scraper was one that i brought myself because they didnt not have any vans! I think all the vans should have at LEAST an ice scraper and a shovel in them for emergencies
@@SelenaNorinh Plus something to put under the wheels when you're stuck on ice.
Cat litter or sand is very useful.
You guys called them overflow. We call them OVERSIZED because well, SLAM label says Oversized.
Also: Route can have up to 18 bags
They were called oversized :)
Keep making more content,Selena.
Thank you so much!!! I promise you I have a bunch planned for 2025!
I got rejected by Amazon like 5 times. Thankfully I never got this job.
I’m trying to get a job as a DSP driver but nowhere near me is hiring.
Dude that’s sooo crazy! Thank you for doing this!! I think maybe it was my DSP idk… 🤷🏽♀️
I always say thank you to the delivery driver.
absolutely, That’s the least we can do! 🙌
So the driver pulled up even with my house and the driver didn't even get out of the van! He just chucked the box over the fence and drove off! Fortunately, it was nothing breakable.
Oh my gosh that’s sooo crazy!!!
The goat story was hysterical lol😂😂😂
hahah thank you! its one of my favorites
Do they pay by the hour or number of deliveries a driver makes?
They paid by the hour 🙂
The only ones get paid by deliveries is the amazon sub contractors.
USPS,fedex, ups and others all deliver. What amazon drivers do isn’t anywhere near what others have seen and go through too.
Very cute and still informative. I never thought of leaving snacks/drinks for the drivers.
Thank you so much!! And yess making a little waterproof box filling it with snack like chips, cookies, candy and water is a life saver! You can leave the box on your porch where your delivery people will see it with a note!
There was also one person I encountered that had a prayer request box which I thought was really sweet too ❤️❤️❤️
Exactly like the 7-11 mini mart interviews, put ANY derelict in place, pat them NOTHING and expect ppl to want to work. Or do some amount of quality job. LOL.
The damn trainer didn’t ride with me they only did a test drive with me it was like getting my license all over again, and then they sent me out with a nursery route on my own and they told me I could take my time so I was like hell yeah. That was for like 3 days and then they fired me because I was slow they said, I’m like what do you mean you said to take my time with those packages and to figure it out. I will never work for that contractor or Amazon ever again.
I can’t believe they didn’t have someone take you on a route first tho thats crazy to just throw you in the deep end!
funny.... several years ago... I remember thinking Amazon was a super good "post office" " UPS " type of job ! lolllllllllllll
Dude that's not alot to deliver, I would deliver to gas stations and stores in los angeles and pick up orders and checks. We delivered motor oils and anything else you see in stores.
You should be making what UPS drivers make. They’re at over 40 an hour. Plus pension and full medical
Full medical, you're going to need it.
The over 40 an hour is normally after they have been on the job for over 4 years.
I always try my best to be nice to any delivery driver.
That's a great attitude to have! I feel like A little kindness goes a long way in making someone's day better. I always tried to be kind too
Honey wake up! Selena just dropped a video 🙌
Ohhhhh yea baby!!! Thanks for being my biggest fan!! 🥳
@@SelenaNorinh ALWAYS
Been a driver for over 4 years.
Oh gosh! Thank you for your service 🫡
@@SelenaNorinh I can't accept the service comment because when I hear that line, I think military. I do accept the endearment behind it, though. Thank you. It's not an easy job at times.
Trust me, you don't have to explain anything to me about how much that sucks. It is a 9 to 5:00 job, so sucking kind of comes along with it
The only problem here is you failed to research the job before applying. You shouldnt be amazed and confused on a job you applied for.
Who said I was confused. I was simply going to see if the rumors were true
Meanwhile the Amazon CEO makes 100 million per yer...
For real tho!
I literally quit yesterday after 3 months n Royal Oak
Hey! You made it three months and through peak season! You’re a survivor
I get amazon delivery’s nearly 7 days a week, the drivers are miserable.
Agree! I worked FedEx it was great way to lose weight and stay fit!
Oh absolutely! Lots of running around and for a short person like me jumping into the vans was such a chore but my glutes were thankful haha
ممتاز, اول مرة اعرف هذي المعلومات المفيدة, شكرا
Youre welcome I got you!
Though it lacks benefits, being a usps subcontractor in a smaller office (that only has 8 routes in total) has its moments. I can go about the delivery portion with my own flexibility.
LET CHRISTMAS BE OVER ALREADY D:
I am SO with you! The holidays are a big pain for delivery drivers.
Your in a rental, of course it's horrid. Try the EDV, with 26 bags 40 overflow delivering in the country.
That sounds terrible!
Everyday all day. You get used to it and most the customers are worth while great.
Great job
